Said on the website that they are rated at 3A at 125V
Are you using any sort of protection or breakers limited to these currents? If not, thats a pretty big code violation right there.
Just pointing it out.
They say 10A on them, which I'm more likely to believe. I'm running at most three CFL's, so... 15w... that's 3/8th of an amp. And they're wired in line with a dedicated 10AMP breaker for all three; so I'm not too worried about over-loading.
you can add regular switches to your remote control light relay box. just tie a light switch in parallel with each relay on the A/C side.
disclaimer - i'm not an electrician.
That's true, but if I'm not mistaken you'd no longer be able to switch it remotely if you had the physical switch off. If it was on then you'd control the relay normally, but that kind of limits the point of remote controlling them. Or am I misunderstanding?
I've seen Nimrod's before and love it. As I said, this one is going to be strictly for storing cars, so no tools or anything else cluttering it. My main working garage is pretty close to his, actually, only bigger. As I said it's a 1900's horse stable so it's going to be rustic no matter what I do. I'll get around to posting some photos of that shop some time.
