I am having a 16x21 single with a high ceiling added on to my existing two car. I plan to use it for storage of a car (possibly a second microcar), beer drinking, and tinkering.

The plan is to finish with insulated walls, Sheetrock, led lights, racedeck floor, a small folding workbench, and a few cabinets. Trying my best to keep it minimalistic because of the small space. Hired a contractor and he started today. Pretty excited! :rocker:

Funny how we get excited over a dirt hole,it looks good
Does ur garage have an overhead door on 2 sides? Also is there a reason the interior wall is brick?

My contractor showed up today and worked really fast. Looks like something now. Tomorrow the meter base will be moved, roof shingles, doors, and ???? I would love to have it done before Christmas so I can start working on the inside when I have a few days off work.

Some updates on my project. I ended up needing to cut out some of my driveway to lower it about 12" into the new garage. I thought it came out really nice. Contractors showed up and put on the Tyvek, insulated and the electricians came in to do some of the rough-in. Electricians were coming another day to put on a weather-head (mast) because the service was attached to the house too close to the new section.

Looks good. To gain some perspective, there are 3 doors facing the street and an extra door at the rear of the 2 car garage running out the side? Lawn equipment, bikes and stuff?

What kind of heat are you installing? Way too cold. This month to work out there.

Yes you are right. There is a rear garage that runs behind the existing 2 stall garage for kid stuff, trailer, snowblower, etc. much too small for a car. My classic mini fit but even that was tight. I just have a small 220v heater in the new garage. It is doing really well for as cold as it is.

Getting closer. Painted and cabinets installed. Waiting on electric and then I will finish by installing racedeck.
