Very nice garage Sir, I do like those cabinets.
What size is that floor cover, I was hoping to get something like that for my bike trailer?

Hi Webb70,

Not home at the momment but I'm going to estimate that the rubber mat that I got was about 7' x 20'. It was a closeout item from Lowe's so they don't stock it anymore, at least not in my area. I had to drive out to a Lowe's farther than my "local" store just to find one that had one in stock still. The manager was great when I asked him to reduce the price even further since it was a closeout item. That was a good day!

Thanks again to all for the comments. I keep meaning to put up some new photos as I've rearranged a few things in the garage to make room for the addition of another bike. Earlier in the year I picked up a 2001 Kawasaki ZRX1200R. Fun stuff, but damn can you spend loads and loads of money on mods for that bike...:lol_hitti

Well played Steve, well played. I REALLY like it.
Some neat ideas I should have thought of for myself. The checked tiles only on the perimeter; great idea. The flags covering open shelves (Already have a big Porsche flag -check!) I like the open, colored cubes too.

If it were possible, using those in place of the open shelves would continue the design element - but hey, you've ALREADY got the shelves so not spending more is a plus. The ONLY thing I might have done differently is paint the exposed ceiling...but it IS a rental, so I totally get it. Again, I really like it.

Many thanks again to you all for the kind words.

Nice "Duc" there Sneakyfast. Dan in Pasadena, I hear you on the exposed roof and have already purchased a large lot of 3' x 5' checkered flags off of eBay that I'm planning on working into the ceiling.

I really need to toss in some new photos here soon. Had to add in another 36" wide shelving unit for various storage needs. That one got a Kawasaki flag. Also another row of the open cubes went in on the front right side for "guest helmet storage". My riding buddies kept complaining about the lack of a place for their helmets since my helmets were taking up my first rack built for that purpose. So now they are content before or after a ride up The Crest.

Also traded in the BMW Boxer Cup Replica for a shiny new 2012 BMW S1000RR, oh my! Really throws your eyes into the backs of their sockets. Below pic from "The Rock Store".

To my flooring choice, in the long run now I'm really not liking how the rubber floor mat is working out. I didn't use anything to glue it down and with bikes moving in and out it's starting to get some big ripples in it and it's just too big to pull back tight. I am now thinking of putting in some type of racedeck style floor tiles. That way it's still a "removable" floor.

Always something more to do, even in a micro rental garage, lol.

Does anyone have suggestions for a racedeck type flooring? Is racedeck the favorite, original, all others are poor imitations kind of deal? I only need about 7 feet by 16 feet total. I'm thinking of going with a solid dark charcoal/grey color since I still have the checkered outline and that is in good condition still. The rubber mat was a lighter grey and showed lots of tire marks from just rolling bikes in and out. I'm hoping that the decking floors aren't that bad, or are at least cleanable.

Any and all thoughts from those with the snap-in type floors would be greatly appreciated.

Great looking garage! Congrats on the 1000RR, im sure its a beast! Did you ever do anything with the ceiling? Did you end up getting Racedeck on the floor? Any updated pics with the 1000RR posing in there?

Thanks again for the positive remarks on my micro garage, it's small but mighty!

Derrickwade, No, have not updated the ceiling yet hopefully I'll get to those checkered flags one of these days. Must convince myself to at least start! :headscrat

Ridervfr, Isn't that the way Kalifornia is spelled? :pimpflash

MFC, It gets the job done. A buddy of mine just found out it's a well equipped garage when he had some issues with his KTM this last weekend. A quick trip back to "The Little Garage That Could" and he was on the road with brakes again. :scared:

Neat little bike garage you have. That ZRX1200R, reminds me of a '86 Ninja a buddy had while I was in the Marines. He had it painted Kawasaki " thumbs up team green."
