Got some company swag at the Christmas party the other night.

Needed something to differentiate from all the others.

Considering the gut-rot coffee I drink, thought this was appropriate.
Looks like something I should get for my wife.
She likes it so strong you could stand a spoon up in the cup if:
A) If the spoon has suffficient column strength to withstand the pressure of being pushed into the cup without bending.
B) You aren't concerned about the coffee dissolving the end off the spoon.

My buddy Ron comes over, pours an inch into his cup, then fills it up the rest of the way with hot water before it's thinned out enough for him to drink.

I don't drink it at all.

If ya put cream and sugar in it, it quits being coffee.

I’m a coffee drinker, not really a coffee snob.

I got around to pulling in the Yule log today.
We were a bit busy yesterday.

Time to sit around the fireplace now, as the power/heat are out. 19 degrees here today.

Riv, got to say I'm a little jealous of all of those logs. I've always wanted to dive for sinkers, they are all over down here, but never took the time to get serious about it.
I’ve seen the swamp loggers, and the cypress they pull out, and a number of others pulling out of rivers and bogs.

Hoping I come up with some material that comes close to the quality, and characteristics of what I’ve seen. It’s a long shot, but I can dream!

Had to watch this monster go by on Christmas, while I was handing out presents.

After a few months of looking at a computer screen for the day job, the new boss asked if I knew how to fix things.

This should be a nice diversion from Excel spreadsheets.

Ordered new guide bearings, guards, and blades. Then I’ll address that wiring 😲

B&O tax.
Gotta love the Peoples Republic of Washington.

Bandsaw looks like a fun little (indoor) winter project.

I go dumpster diving at one of our facilities... They have a couple steel recycling bins that are hot targets for me.

Took advantage of a negative 2.3’ tide to tend my oyster babies. Of course it had to be in the dark. On a cold, wet night.

The crazy tides we’ve had lately had my oyster bags filled with silt. I had to pull them up, and place rocks underneath then to keep them out of the muck.

Sounds like work.

Riv, I think you captured a UFO in your second photo located above the moon. :lol_hitti
How often do you have to tend to those oyster bags? How long does it take until it’s time to harvest them?

Those are just the local lizard men.
They are always patrolling the area😲

From seeding to “ready to eat” is anywhere from 18 months to 3 years, depending on the variety.

They usually don’t require any work, but some crazy tides lately covered them in muck.

I had to raise them, and shake the muck out.

Got a cold, windy day here.

Good day to make a table.
