Thank's for the comments guys, I appreciate it. It's where I spend most of my time, so I try to keep it clean but functional!

Also I hung some license plates up a few months back. It's a little tacky but I like it. The beam faces opposite of the street so nobody can really see it unless they are inside the garage.

They are mainly Old Kansas and Missouri Plates we found cleaning out a barn. The oldest one is 1954.

A nice looking set-up you,ve got now. I like your Challenger too!!!
How close do car doors get to that roof post ? Its hard to judge properly, but is it worth putting something on it to avoid dinging paint off a door?

Thanks!

I have plenty of room to get out of the cars, i can open the doors enough, however I do always tell the Wife to be careful when she drives my cars (she has to park outside ) I'm sure some padding wouldn't hurt, may keep my eye out for some next time i'm at the store.

Hey guys, it's been a while since an update, so i'll post a few here, not much has changed, just been working on some cars!

Here are some updates to the shop. Next post i'll add some updates to projects.

First off, I had to upgrade my lighting, my single bulb fixtures weren't cutting it. I added 6, 4 T8 bulb fixtures and they rock! I think i'm getting a little tan from them.

Old lighting

New lights

Also you can see in those pictures I added a 5000 watt heater, it looks small but has no issues keeping the garage around 60 degrees with freezing temps outside.

Also upgraded my little 29 gallon compressor to this 60 gallon, night and day difference

Added a new cabinet with a light under it.

Finally built this awesome engine run stand that we used on a 396 to fire up.

Here are a few updates on the current projects.

Rebuilding a 1966 Impala SS that has been sitting since 1987 that caught on fire.

All four tires blown out, massive oil leak under car, and suspension was shot, car was pretty much sitting on ground, but thankful it was inside it's whole life.

Had an electrical fire on the motor but wasn't too bad.

Installed all new coils, struts, new fuel tank, wheels and tires in the current garage it was in, then it was time to move it to my shop. We towed it with a ford ranger  but it was only 2 miles from my house.

Rebuilt the numbers matching 396

Time to see if it runs after 28 years? (Sorry for the poor video quality... cell phone video)

Success!

Also for those wondering how the 455 in the buick turned out, check out the youtube video.

I installed some 3" electronic cutouts to get the true sound :)

I open the cutouts half way through the video. Enjoy it because I know my neighbors don't!

Here's the next project, 1964 Impala putting a 327 in it

Pain was real faded and rough

nothing a little buffing couldn't fix. I've had a lot of success with this product as well as the polishing compound.
