Yeah thats prolly a jacked preorder price like the one I found for M12 flood, Stu says the M12 Rover clamp flood is suppose to be $79.

I knew you would be SHOCKED as the rest of us at the $99 price. I figured the M12 flood would be $99 and the M18 search $149.

This is a good sign of cordless LED pricing coming down..... as long as you dont look at the Pumpkin light or Rocket2... Your bucket light will prolly be $199, but you dont like it anyways.

The search light is only $99 as a bare tool???

Edit.. only place I see it for sale is for $166...

The Youtuber Tool Boss in his review of the 2763 says Milwaukee is coming out with a new high torque compact impact wrench. Any truth to this?

Unless he has some kind of Milwaukee spy working for him, I'd say he's speculating.. None of the Milwaukee shows this year had any mention of it as far as I know, and they were already starting to preview next year's lawn and garden stuff..
I'd say it's plausible though. I believe IR just came out with a high power 3/8" cordless, and the high torque Milwaukee has been out for a while now.. So a gen 2 may not be far away, but I'm not so sure he knows anything we don't... I guess we'll just have to wait and see.. I can tell ya this much though - if they did, I'd probably skip it.. I don't use them enough to upgrade something that's already a game changer..

Here's the 3/8 IR - rated at 365ftlbs now

How are people getting the M12 3.0 batteries already? There's 2 reviews on HD
http://m.homedepot.com/p/Milwaukee-...0Ah-Compact-Battery-Pack-48-11-2430/300069518

For weeks CPO (and Tyler) have said "ships by 9/9/16" but 9/9 came & went and they still show backordered. But the two HD reviews were 8/31 and 9/6.

48-11-2430

If you look above the reviews, it doesn't say. Verified purchase.. ANYBODY can leave reviews on products on HD and Amazon regardless of where they got them from..

I might get a couple of these for my jackets..

Is it possible the reviews are posted by Milwaukee employees? I see this kind of thing happen a lot, and rarely is it anything other than a five star review.

Anything is possible... I really wish Milwaukee would make an m12 led headlamp.. that would do two things for me.. give me a cool headlamp to buy, and an excuse to buy one or two m12 tools for work.. I only have the jackets that I use there..

Right now I have my eye on another hydraulic chainsaw I might try to poach off ebay. Shh...

I'm gonna start bugging @MilwaukeeTool to make an M12 trim router. Man I would use that thing just constantly.

I realllllly wish I could afford one of those nailers so I could tear it down and see what is going on. The performance just doesn't make sense. I'd really like to instrument it with some temperature probes and try doing an endurance test like RTR did also. Milwaukee if you are reading this, my camera will be back from the shop eventually and I have a YouTube channel that has upwards of 100 subscribers... Just look at what I did for Dremel and their vacuum rotary tool! Several people watched my fix video and said that it still sucked.

They should make both, M12 trim router and M18 full size plunge router.

Is it a trim router or full size? I'm not seeing any info about it anywhere online. I think that will be a definite purchase either way.

PSA: TrueView Stand Light

Anyone with the TrueView Stand Light probably already knows that the clamps that lock the extension poles in position are, well... they ****. The screws that adjust the tension on the clamps need frequent adjustment (at best), or just plain fall out. That's if the clamp itself doesn't break.

Milwaukee has an "Upper and Lower Clamp Service Kit", part number 14-46-2130, that fixes all this (or at least seems like it should). This kit replaces ALL parts in both clamp assemblies. Both clamps have been re-designed to be two parts (instead of one) and are much "beefier", nuts that the screws thread into are now nylon lock nuts (this should avoid lost screws and/or frequent adjustment). You can easily install the kit yourself in about 20 minutes.

I found out about the kit because both of my clamps broke, and I called Milwaukee to ask about just getting the parts, since I didn't want to send/bring the light in for warranty repair, and they sent me the kit at no charge.

To install the kit you'll need:

- T15 screwdriver
- T20 screwdriver
- T30 screwdriver
- Phillips #2 screwdriver
- clamp spreader (optional)

For less than $1 you can replace the nylon lock nuts (4mm) without the kit, if your clamps aren't broken.

Here's a photo of a broken upper clamp and its replacement:

I called Milwaukee last week for this. Thank you again.

They will require your serial # of your light. The tech support guy I got was cool, he said to just email him the serial # of my light and once he received that he'd get one mailed out.

An alternate reality in a parallel universe.

Since Ridgid is releasing an 18V router I'm confident that it is on milwaukee's radar, since TTI owns both. I was told by a trusted source that Milwaukee held back the release of the M18 miter saw to let Ridgid's 18 volt miter saw get a fot hold in Home Depots.

My Matco dealer makes money off the fuel line, sells it in his tool truck.Been selling them to customers that had nothing but problems with their Snap On cordless tools.Been happy with them and don't have a problem anymore.I am getting the cordless sawzall next.Getting the bare tool since I have batteries I can use from my cordless impact.I have the older cordless sawzall, can't get the V18 batteries anymore and no one rebuilds them. One took a dump, shorted inside and won't take a charge. The other is following.

Emerson owns Ridgid.. TTI is just the manufacturer Emerson uses to make them.

Right.

Emerson drives the product development, TTI is just the manufacturer in this case.

Ridgid has had a 18v sander for quite a while, that has never crossed over into Milwaukee's lineup, so I wouldn't be so sure.

Mine was BO and just shipped yesterday, it arrives tomorrow. I paid $76.78 after Zoro 25%, coulda of waited a week and got it for 71.66. I have high hopes by its high price tag, but its a M12 Mag Light!

Received my M12 flashlight today. Initial impressions are very positive, it seems very nice

Is it any better than just a maglite? It's a little expensive for "just" a flashlight..

For a homeowner kit that is good, though if you are going to use the tools heavily on a day the XC 3.0 batteries wont last very long. Fuel versions of the drill & hex impact are that price alone, and the fuel circular saw is $200, no fuel version of the hand hackzall.

If you dont need the latest greatest most powerful tools, that kit is a good start. Can always get 5.0 batteries with what you add next.

EDIT
Thought this promo ended, might be better off with that, and buy the hackzall or sawzall seperately. No Light, but that is a bare bones light.

Looking at a Combo Kit.
How is this one for homeowner use.
Or should I stick to the fuel models.

The 2695-24 Kit comes with the 2607 and 2656 drills, HD desc is wrong, I ordered one last month. Does the 2696 kit come with 4.0s?, cause the site lists (2) 48-11-1828 M18 XC high capacity REDLITHIUM battery as the included batteries.

IMO the 2696-24-2360-20 is a better choice for not much more money. The 2607 hammer drill is the newer model as is the driver 2656-20 plus the light is LED. It also has the most current cordless brushed sawzall model and the batteries are 4.0

A FUEL package would be considerably more money still

I definitely got the Milwaukee addiction. I went all in on the "to me" terminal tackle power tools in 18V Fuel. I can see a 12V 1/4" driver and rotary tool as well as a few more 18V batteries in my future. But for now I'll be working with:
Hammer drill and driver
Circular Saw
Sawzall
Grinder
12 pc Blade set, Cobalt bit set, shockwave bit set, and a 5 pack of #2 + heads.

Added it up after searching a jumping on deals ove the last new weeks. I've given $797.34 for 5 tools, 2 5Ah batteries and a multivolt charger.

I see am wrong about that. Thanks for pointing that out. Guess I shot from the hip on that one ;).

Interesting that the new tools are coming in that package kit.

The Milwaukee site also has lists the 2695 kit with the upgraded tools drill and driver including the led light but still shows both kits have the 1828XC
which is only the 3.0

https://www.milwaukeetool.com/power-tools/combo-kits/2695-24

So that does sweeten that deal immensely. :D

That's whats really turned me off on some of these tool kit ads is that there is different descriptions and photos on different web pages ACME site even shows and describes the old tools for the 2696 kit still.

I dislike HD they ripped me off on free battery promo once before. Gave me a run around on being out of stock but one email to Milwaukee and I had my battery in 2 days time
