LOL! Visit the manufacturer's page? Who woulda thunk?

thx. everyone. i just jumped on the thread near the end and got totally confused by all the insider info. sorta like trying to figure out the diff between a bmw e36 and an e 12 instead of a 735 and a 325. anyway, good info. i do have a wired sawsall which is way stout.

One of the best things Milwaukee has to offer is the cordless lighting options.. right now, nobody even comes close..

FWIW of the three 5.0's that I opened from my Toolup 4-pack (the fourth is a gift) they're dated 160708. That's either the 7th week of this year or the 8th of July of this year (the bulletin I have from Milwaukee doesn't specifically cover the 48-11-1850s). Either way seems good to me.

I don't know who I hate more - Home Depot or Milwaukee.

Added the 7 1/2 Fuel saw kit with 9AH batteries and the M18 Fuel Miter saw with 2 9.0's this week. Both are awesome and the miter saw is incredibly impressive - much better than the Ryobi 10" it replaced.

So o far, my addiction is nowhere near as bad as some but still impressive.

M12
  • Regular Impact Driver
  • Regular Hammer Drill
  • Right Angle Drill
  • LED worklight
  • 3/8 Ratchet
  • Multitool
  • Heated Jacket
  • Heated Hoodie
  • 3x 1.5 AH batteries
  • 2x 3.0 AH XC batteries
  • M12 only charger

M18
  • Fuel Impact Driver
  • Fuel Drill
  • Hackzall
  • Fuel 7 1/2 Circular Saw
  • Fuel Miter Saw
  • Box Vaccuum
  • 2x 2.0 Slim Batteries
  • 2x 3.0 XC Batteries
  • 3x 9.0 Batteries
  • 2x M18/M12 chargers
  • 2x rapid chargers

Nice.

On another note, the new small M18 Vacuum is pretty awesome. I just had to enlarge an electrical box hole in some drywall, so I grabbed my multitool and the vacuum and just held the nozzle next to the blade and went to town. Not much to clean up afterwards!

Nice! That why I just bought the new M18 Vacuum for. Cleaning up that sheetrock dust after cutting in boxes.

Glad to know it worked well for you.

Very cool! My Rocket Tower stand light w/5.0 starter kit thru ACME TOOLS got here today.

I was surprised how big the box was just about as tall as the Fed Ex gal delivering it. ;)

It's definitely going to come in very handy for me.

Now I can keep mi amigos working long after dark. :D

Am slightly curious why they didn't do a shutoff switch separate from the mode button though.

So as a side note I did bite on the 2754-20 for $99 from ToolUp over the weekend too. No matter what I just don't think you can beat that offer. Haven't received any order confirmation on that yet though and it will be my very first purchase from them. I had seen another thread someone had nothing really positive to say about buying from there. :dunno:

Interested in hearing from anyone as to why a lot of recommendation is for the Fuel M18 3/8 over the 2755B 1/2 inch. Most 3/8" socket sets are only 3/4 or maybe 13/16 max. right? I have the M12 in 3/8 already and it seemed for a while that was all I really need for a 3/8 inch coupled with my older 2655B. I really like the #1 mode 1 sec stop on the current 27XX tools though. Another thing to mention is that the prior 2655B has different power settings on mode #1 and #2. 80ftlb/120ftlb. Seems odd that all the 27xx versions have basically the same rpm/torque numbers.

So I had 3 M18 search lights, 6 bay multi port charger, and 6 - 5.0 batteries show up at work today. Along with about a dozen Milwuakee demo gloves, 3 remote area Pelican lighting systems, and 2 - 5,000 lumen led tripod mounted flood lights from Larson Electronics.. Christmas came early, and I already got the "no problem" from my vendor when I told him I wanted the new M18 Fuel cable cutters when they get released..

I have the search lights, batteries, and charger home with me. Gonna mount them all on a piece of 3/4" plywood with 6 magnets bolted to the back of the board to hold it all.. that'll be tonight's little project.

The Pelican systems are really nice, expensive as ****, but nice.. the Larson flood lights are pretty impressive too.. about $450 a piece, extend like 9' high and you can daisy chain them together.. not cordless, but pretty idiot proof..

Pshh.. lightweight... lol.

Those m12 stick lights are down to like $50 now.. almost worth buying a second.. get the m12 spot light, I just got it - very impressive..

I do like the tool box, but I already have the HF 44" with the top chest and locker..

This is another option for you guys. Not mine, but I always loved this guys set up.. it's the 44" HF cabinet with 2 drawer additions on either side, and a plywood top for anyone that doesn't know.. prob around $800 all in.. not as cool as Milwaukee's, but you can add to it infinitely..

I have used several types of lights mounted on the side of a bucket and they don't seem to work out. I love the Streamlite rechargeable lights, especially the newer LED ones. I had a plastic holder that it mounted to but got rid of it. The small Streamlight hardhat lights are the best that I have used and swear by them.

I looked at the streamlight and Pelican flashlights for work before I decided on trying to get these.. the Milwaukee's were brighter and had longer runtimes for all the other models with similar sizes to these.. I also liked that it was easy to just grab a second battery to get 8 hours out of em if need be, not to mention the spot and flood feature the Milwaukee's provide..

At work, they just recently started to provide streamlight (I think) hardhat lights. I honestly don't like the model they have. It's a cheaper one, like $30 or so if I remember. It's a solid light, but it's a spot light. So you get that one annoying bright spot in the middle that your eyes always follow, and you wind up moving your head around to point the bright spot on things, instead of being able to just move your eyes like you can with a flood light.

I bought a Coast model HL8 I think, and I love it.. 3 other people bought the same after seeing how good it was. It carries 4 AA batteries in a seperate battery housing at the rear of the hat (you can wear it on a belt too, and run the extension wire they provide) for longer runtime, and it's so bright (344 lumen) that I can run it on the medium setting and it'll last all night long. We have batteries at work, so I don't care about needing to replace, and I don't have the time to wait for it to recharge like some other models. It has a focusing lens too, so I can adjust from a wide flood to a long penetrating spot light if need be - like if I'm on a digger and setting a pole at night between live power lines.

Even the smaller cheaper Coast lights are good, you just lose the runtime and are swapping batteries every 2 or 3 hours. Coast makes the headlights for LED Lenser, which is owned by Leatherman.. the only downside, is I can't use the hardhat clip Coast provides with the safari style hardhats I use. The belt openings are on the wrong side, but for $5 or $10 I found a better set on Amazon with the openings on the other side.

This is the Coast light I have (the lumen rating is wrong on the page)

I have 2 remote spotlights mounted on the truck behind the cab that I run with remotes that work great plus you don't have to get in the truck to move them, just grab the remotes. I keep 2 Streamlight led spotlights and they run for hrs. Just swap them out. Not trying to hijack your thread

I'm very interested in the outdoor line. Really the trimmer is what I need most. The blower I think will be great for blowing water off cars after washing.

yeah I've been using my ego blower for cleaning my garage (turtle speed) and high speed for the car and grass clippings. I kind of want the Milwaukee blower too! lol debating if I should pre-order now or wait for similar Home depot buy one kit get extra battery kinda of deal ...

I'll probable end up with the blower, string trimmer, and hedge trimmer. I have a feeling that if I pre-order them now, they will do a great promo in the spring and I will be kicking myself.

I'm waiting. Certainly not going to use anything until april or may so why buy now? Also, likely won't buy the hedge trimmer until spring or fall.

I have older NiCad DW stuff and recently decided to upgrade to Li. These tools coming out from MW, made me go red and that fact that I have m12 stuff and they rock.

The kits with 9.0 on Acme are priced for initial promo. Think about it, 299 string trimmer, 9.0 and rapid charger. 9.0 charge kit is 249!

I preordered the weed wacker 9.0 kit and blower 9.0 kit on 20% day...

How'd you do that? It was 20% off one item and it only let me place one order using the code.

I jumped on the Fuel Sawzall Kit w/9.0AH battery + charger for $249 and also on the Fuel 4.5" Grinder bare tool for $149.

Really tempted to grab the circular saw 9.0AH kit while still 249$ too :rocker: ideally would like to have 2-3 9AH as I have 4, 3AH already. Or the 1/2" Fuel High Torque Impact and the 3/8" impact, oh the choices :eyecrazy:

Then I'd feel comfortable replacing my last 3, v28 batteries that are on their way out after 8 years in service. The other 5 are toasted/gone already, most died within last 20 months.

I had to jump on the acme coupon code to get the 9AH Kit + Ciruclar saw now too, ughh lol, never ending :)

Now I'll hold out until I decide to sell my v28/m28 tools/batts before getting the drill and impact ;) LOL!!

All Gen 2 impact models have different RPM/torque figures - see page 5 here:
https://documents.milwaukeetool.com/58-14-0036d1.pdf

The 2755/2755B RPM/torque figures are often mislabeled in website descriptions (even on the box specs IIRC) with the 2754 specs. I own the 2755B and have used the 2754 and I can assure you that modes 1/2/4 are different between the two.

I want the string trimmer and lower but the prices need to come down a bit. If they have a 20% off at ACME and I find out I will pick them up. $240 with the 9AH battery I can do.

Good to know because eventually I do want another 55B the old B was a ball pin and the new B is ring.

Too bad that recent $99 cyber sale wasn't also on the 2755B bare tool.

I truly can't recall seeing any online reviews that pointed out a difference in mode setting rpm's between a 2754 and a 55 model except for publicizing that 10lb torque difference at max.

And unless I'm just not seeing in the pdf. they really don't specify specific torque numbers but just give max mode rpm. It is also that way with the Fuel M12's, torque numbers are on the box but not in the operators manual.

And of course I will take your word for it :D

so who is pre-ordering some Milwaukee M18 Cordless Outdoor Power Equipment?

http://www.acmetools.com/shop/tools/milwaukee-m18-cordless-outdoor-power-equipment

been holding off on a new trimmer because I have been waiting for the Milwaukee trimmer. $300 for tool, 9.0 battery and charger.
Thank you for this heads up! I just ordered the string trimmer kit. I have been wanting another 9.0 battery and charger. I used code MILW2016 to get $20 off $100 Milwaukee purchase. It basically covered the tax.

Thanks, I didn't know it was available for preorder yet. The code got me $20 off and a pair of gloves. I got some of the the Milwaukee 0.95 string to try it out also.

I'll be kicking myself if a better deal comes along, but with the 9AH I don't see it getting much better than $280.

The M18 Surge is in. It's very quiet compared to a regular impact driver and the power is very controllable. It hasn't seen a ton of use so far but I'm very happy with it.
