The new EGO 56v seems to be the top at 142mph and 575cfm.... about what I expected from Milwaukee, 100mph is wussy for a blower. I think they should make one you stick 2x9.0s on it.

Interesting.. maybe I should've kept my ego blower

Sorry this pic took so long.. been busy last few days... tonight was getting ready for the big snow storm coming so just finished going over my snowthrower to make sure it starts and runs for when I get home from my snow removal job either tomorrow or Friday. Snapped the pic of the M18 wet vac using extension hoses and floor attachment.. gotta say it's great using it like this. I can just carry it around in one hand and clean as needed.. great for my basement stairs that seem to do nothing but collect hair from my dog..

Using just a piece of tape inside the first extension to make the fit snug, I'm able to use the Orek tools on the vac that have been sitting in my house for years not being used.. any 1.5" accessory kit will work just like this one..

And yes, I know I need to paint the basement floor.. it's on my 10 year plan.. lol

What Milwaukee should have offered is a fan tip attachment for the new blowers.. I bought my husky over the echo just for that reason. (Should have bought the echo and just paid for the accessory tip instead)

Those ego numbers I believe are on its "turbo" mode. Still, it's competing with the 18v lineups, which is why I don't THINK (maybe?) they compared to the Dewalt 40v or Dewalt's dual 40v backpack blower. wonder if anyone can 3D print a fan tip for the Milwaukee, or if another brands tip can be made to fit it..

Still, people's individual needs will vary, so it might be better for some other people. Time will tell.

I hate to say it but Dewalt really seems to have a handle of this OPE stuff..

I have the 46" tool chest combo, and just got my FoamFitTools trays for the Craftsman 311 piece mechanics set.

They custom sized them to the drawers, which leaves plenty of room for me to route in the breaker bars I have, along with a few other misc tools. That said, I'll be going back to them for much more in the near future.

Top drawer, 3/8" ratchet set

Next, wrenches

1/4" ratchet set

1/2" ratchet set on the bottom

I have A LOT more organizing to do as I get the garages under control this spring, but this is a great start.
Nice job with the Foamfit Diskreet. Looks very neat and clean.

Picked up the multi tool today for a little trim modification to convert bifold closet door to bypass while the carpet is out, worked great. Also like that I can use it for inside corner sanding, I have a piece of furniture to refinish on the project docket.

I used a hand powered one and have to say, its a PITA to do! Im not a pro, just needed an extra opening in a metal box. The hardest part was getting something to hold the box in place while I tightened the punch. I was lifting the corner of my workbench off the floor with the box clamped into a vise!

Cordless would make it much easier, but I plan on doing it exactly 0 more times in my life so even I couldnt justify it :)

The ratcheting punch kits are indeed a PITA. It's a nightmare to punch holes over manufacturer concentric KO's cleanly because of all the twisting force.

Got to put to work my recent purchase of the 2352-20 LED sticklight earlier today. Had to do a quick repair job under my tractor before I need to go out to plow some snow now.

Really like it a lot with the heavy base of the M18 battery and being able to angle the head as opposed to the M12 stick though that's been favorite of mine for a long time. On that I really like its narrow compact form plus the true view color for at my job. Both M12 stick or flashlight can fit easily in my tool pouch too.

The sticklights are quite dfferent than the LED flashlights too, those having a much whiter light.

And both sticklights have had price drops recently. Besides having the adjustable head the M18 offers two different light settings one brighter and one slightly less than the M12 version.

I finished getting my 60" box in today and figured it was a good time to put everything in one place and post my small collection. There's a few small odds and ends missing like bit kits, and my hex drive drill bits that I like a lot. I like buying Milwaukee because I can be reasonably sure that it's gonna be decent quality and not super expensive, plus I can generally handle something in person at HD before buying.

So the two non-flex extensions are the Orek components. How do you store it when finish, do you remove the extension? Since that is two fixed extensions, how is the join connection, does it flex under use? Just trying to get an idea. Thanks for the pic.

How do you like the weedeater ? I picked up the new Fuel Blower with 9.0 Battery and considering the weedeater also but haven't seen many reviews.

Really hard to say right now without any grass to cut. When it arrived I went out to the back of my yard and cut some thick undergrowth, and it was effective, but didn't really blow me away. Back a ways in this thread when everyone was getting their preorders from Acme, there were more opinions given that may be more helpful than mine.

I've used my weed-eater to edge my grass and it does a good job, used it to clean up some weeds growing randomly in turtle speed and it knock them all down easily.

My comparison is to a Toro 2 cycle straight shaft.

My pro's about it so far is that I don't have to mix gas or smell like it after a job.

I also like to edge holding the handle semi-vertical and not having a hot/smelly/noisy engine next to my face/ear is awesome, kinda of a given with any electrical weed-eater.

Using other M18 batteries is great if I was to run out of power-my 15 min edging kept the 9.0 still at full bars.

So far the bump works pretty good.

After about 15 min. it did start to feel heavy. My toro has a clip for a harness to aid with weight, this one doesn't have it. But could be easily be added to it should I want it. Other than that I am pretty content with it. Does the job. I would recommend it for a home owner.

Honestly the wands just hang around in the basement. Most of what I use that vac for happens down there anyway.. I built a wooden ramp that goes out from the basement up through the bulkhead doors into my yard, with the center 1.5' of the ramp on hinges to expose the steps.. that way things like lawn mowers, generators, snow blowers are easy to get in and out..

They are Orek wands. They are close in size to the 1.5" Milwaukee hose, but not perfect. slightly too big. I just wrapped one layer of electrical tape around the INDSIDE of the top wand, this way, the vac hose fits that wand tight, and all Orek stuff fits the other end like they should.. it's also so I can pull the hose off the wand and use the few 1.5" accessories I have on the vac hose as intended. CPO sells a 1.5" accessory kit that would work perfect for the vac for only like $25.. wands and attachments included..

My friend has that same exact snow blower

Yamaha snow blowers (throwers really, no idea when they started being called "blowers") haven't been imported into the states for decades. I actually found that one a few years ago at the original Yamaha dealer that ordered it when it was new, like 25 or 30 years ago. He kept it to do sidewalks, but later used a small plow on a quad instead. Thing cost me $800 and the guy would not budge cause it was in such good shape, and even charged me FULL RETAIL for extra shear pins..

I did the impeller mod, bolting small pieces of a rubber paddle from a different model thrower onto the metal impeller blades of this one. It closes the 1/8" or 1/4" gap between the impeller blades and the housing when it spins, making it impossible to clog and helps throw the snow further.. it's a 6hp engine (not like today's engines) and it will throw light snow as high as my second story roof..

Parts are very hard to come by. Tracks aren't made anymore. A decent set of used tracks can be sold for $300/$400 a set to someone that really needs em. Fortunately, my machine was hardly used so mine are in great shape. That machine is a ****** beast.

Edit - here's the new version.. guy must have had this sent over from Canada. I remember seeing this last year on eBay too from a seller in Staten Island. Guess he never sold it.

Anyone else waiting on a 0882-20 vacuum? I've had on one order since 1/06/17 and nothing yet. I called this morning and they are checking with Milwaukee to see when it might ship out to them.

Waiting on a return call now

So Ryobi and Ridgid both have cordless trim routers, and cordless belt sanders now.. I'd expect to see both of those soon from Milwaukee..

Lets add this one to the list too

^^^a heater? No ****! That'd be awesome for my friend off the grid or maybe camping in a tent.

edit: anyone have a link for that? Googling "Ridgid hybrid heater" just brings up their cordless fan or discussion of hot water heaters

I'd be interested in the specs on that heater. I just can't see it running all that long on a battery and kicking out meaningful heat in an outdoor environment like it's shown doing. Good marketing department ;)

That picture was posted up on Real Tool Reviews pages earlier today but gave no other information. I have old 120vac unit propane unit with continuous ignition and between the noise and fumes I rarely use it. You really need good air exchange.

Guess newer units are supposed to better or at least quieter anyways. :dunno:

If you look close it says brushless on it too! :D

It looks like it's propane powered for the heat, but the battery just powers the fan to blow the hot air.

Looking at the M12 fuel drill/driver kits to go along with my m18 fuel stuff. I see at homedepot.com they have the deal back where you buy the kit and get a free tool or battery. I almost pulled the trigger on a kit last time with the 1/4 ratchet in it but missed out. So going to pull the trigger this time.

But I see they offer two kits that look almost the same. The only difference I see is that one comes with a hammer drill and one doesn't. Is there any reason not to get the hammer drill? I have my M18 hammer drill and rarely use it. Will usually grab the SDS if I need to drill concrete and I'm sure someday I will get the M18 SDS. So I don't really need the M12 hammer drill but if that is the only difference between these kits and the drill is the same except for one has the hammer feature I might as well just get the hammer drill one in case I ever need to use it. Or is there something else different between these kits I'm not seeing?

There is no reason not to get the hammer drill. Unless you need it right now I'd wait. You've chosen the worst possible time to purchase the kit as far as price goes, this is about as expensive as it gets. It can be had for 199.99 with the free tool often and you just missed out on the 150/200 off deal which made this kit without the free tool ~145 IIRC.

The 1/4" ratchet tool only is 100 bucks so 145 for the kit plus buying the ratchet makes it 250 dollars with is more then the homedepot free tool price. I guess 30 dollars is 30 dollars but I hate to miss out on this free tool deal by waiting for a sale like I did last time.

I have a 3/8 #2654 impact that I have only used a few time and the friction ring twisted up and the socket had to be pried off. Is this something Milwaukee will replace? Just wondering if any of you guys have experienced this?

I have occasionally heard of few people having a issue here and there with a friction ring though I haven't personally experienced any problems with any of my different impacts. When I first got the M12 1/4 Fuel impact that would hang up some on sockets but I adjusted it slightly with a pair small needle nose pliers.

Never hurts to ask. You could try and contact Milwaukee Tool North America thru their FB page Sometimes that gets results (usually thru private messaging.) Plus there is the official web page contact form too.

The Milwaukee friction ring 44-90-1050 is also widely available on the net. It's the part for all the 3/8 models

Okay what I noticed here is that the free tool in the 2nd link you posted includes a 1/4" ratchet and non-hammer drill.

The first one of course includes the hammer drill but the free tool is a 3/8" ratchet.
