I'd love too see a YouTube vid of a fully charged 9.0 dumped into a bucket of saltwater.. I expect to have the proceeds split as I was the origin of the video conception. :)

I would imagine it would be very boring for a very long time. 18 volts is pretty low, there would be very little current through the salt water. I would bet the cells would be sealed so no water would get into them. You'd have to wait for the circuit boards to corrode.

Milwaukee would get the credit I think. In the press conference they literally told tool reviewers not to do that. :) I still want to do it though. I couldn't blow that much money on a video though (wasting a 9.0) unless it was gonna go viral and make me a mint.

So what's the take for that underhood LED light? Do they have a version without the charger?

Yep I got my $163 2125 from Amazon thru Tooltopia (thanks to this thread). Just used it last night on an '03 F150 in fact. I like it a lot, works well and just much better form factor than my old gangly Central Tools

Yeah I'm looking for one without the charger I don't need a 3rd one here lol about to do a engine install this month in which im sure I will run out of daylight

Ya the 2125-20 kit lists for $199

Seen $169 at FB site before

Was an Amazon offer for bit less too but that seems to be gone now

Current Amazon offer 2125XC KIT

$213

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B071D6B8FL/?tag=atomicindus08-20
$213 is a bit much and it's still a kit :( I have a M12 stick light it's doable but they should of included the magnetic base as well.

I decided to clean and lube my M12 3/8 ratchet today. Of course nothing is simple, and one of the four pins that are in the anvil went flying never to be seen again.

I've already shot an email to Milwaukee, but does anyone have a recommendation for sourcing a replacement?

It doesn't look like I can buy just the pins for the anvil and the entire anvil kit is on backorder. It's also ~$35 before shipping. hmmm

I bet your originals are sitting right next to the 2 valve cover bolts I just lost on my truck!

Are these pins just round stock? Could you possibly just make your own?

While it would be fun, I don't believe I have the proper tools to machine these little pins. They do have a head on them.

I'm hoping I can get Milwaukee to send me some. I'll happily pay.

I can't seem to find the thread on all the new releases, but are they making a M12 Fuel 1/4 Ratchet?

The 1/4 M12 Fuel and the 3/8 M12 Fuel ratchet are on my list of "I wants"... I passed up a few deals on the current ratchets... waiting for the Fuels.

I keep an inventory sheet (for insurance)... my Milwaukee page has 30 items, tools, batteries, chargers, bags, cases.

Yea... I have it bad --:shocking:-- addiction... this stuff is worse than CRACK

More M18 red crack arrived today, my new mid torque impact is without a doubt heavier than my old 2755b impact, lil larger too. Fan works good, kind of an odd low pitched hum on high, not sure I need this but figured for camping or car shows maybe, we will see.

I have found more uses over time for my portable fan than ever thought I would. And having no cord is just great especially when you want to move it around often

So did that new mid torque come with that attached belt clip?

So I was in my local pathetic (but closest to work) HD yesterday on my boss's orders looking for a door closer or kick stop for the back door on our new barn store because no one properly closes the door and the wind whips it up against the building (commercial exterior opens out) and they smashed a hole right thru the vinyl siding

Anyhow I browsed the tool crib actually looking for new hammer line (I actually do have the fiberglass one already) and of course which they had none of them either :dunno:

But they had these screwdrivers I thought it was pretty good set the 2018 with sq drive 1 & 2 plus cabinet tip types and no ECX like the 2008 or 2009 set

http://www.homedepot.com/p/Milwaukee-Screwdriver-Set-8-Piece-48-22-2018/204678626

I thought the rubber gripped handles were really decent

I think there is only 1 or 2 models of the new hammers in store so far, around me there is 1 store in a 40 mile radius that has it.

I use mine all the time. If it's not raining later on, I might to strap it to the hood of my mower and see how that works out. I use it every day in one of my storage units where I'm moving heavy items constantly, under cars in the lawn, in my home office, outdoors to keep flies off food and mosquitoes off me... It goes on forever. :pimpflash

That little ****** is actually a very good fan; much better than most, and seems to last plenty long. When it came out of the box I was shocked at how small it was, but it looked like a sound design.

Once I turned that ****** on I realized how much thought they'd put into it.

Worth. Every. Penny.

Does seem to generate quite a bit of ozone, though. Might just be because it's new. I wouldn't let it sit there and run constantly beside one's long-term tire storage solution, I'll put it that way.

Even so, the whole point is being able to take it wherever you go. Ever have a powerful fan in the middle of a hot field on a cloudless day? Neither had I

...until now. :rocker:

If I'd have had this thing ten years ago, I'd have fit it with a shoulder strap hauled it all over the world. It's a game-changer; not because it's the only portable fan (plenty are available), but because it's an excellent fan that just happens to be portable.

Forget Milwaukee. I'd buy another one of these if it was branded Ryobi.

Feels just as good on your face as one of those giant orange jokers nobody likes hauling around; and you get a higher velocity, so when you do pick it up and point it at the top of your head, it's instant gratification.

Go on and try to take mine away. See what happens... :D

This thing might make a wimp out of me eventually, but at least I'll be a comfortable wimp.

My fan can't get here fast enough. Ordered from Home Depot for $69.99.
I use a Vortex with a cord in the car port all the time. We have a big mosquito problem and it definitely keeps them away. Also helps with the heat of course. I think cutting the cord I will use it a lot more often. The Vortex may end up mounted to the wall of my workroom.

My fan just arrived too. Here's what I'm talking about on the mounting holes, early V1.0 on the right

Interesting. That indicates they are paying attention and trying to improve things when they can. It's nice to see a company actually bothering to make something better.

Dam the new M18/M12 BT speaker should have had mounting holes like that... oh well one step forward 2 steps back.

So how old is version 1 anyhow? :headscrat.

My fan has the later style slotted holes. And I'm trying to remember when exactly I bought it but must easily be more than 2 full years ago. Was before we opened the new farm store because I used while I was building all counters and table displays.

I couldn't tell ya exactly but I pretty much ordered the second it hit online retailers, so it was early in the product history. I tried searching this thread as I likely posted when I got my first one but three letter terms like "fan" don't get along w the board's search engine.

Got my Mid Torque finally to go with my M12 fuel Impact driver. Surprised the closeness in length. Also have a boot on the way from Tool Barn.
