I just got the brushed.. they won't see much work.. used the brushed at my last job with no complaints at all.. I have the fuel at home.. the both feel and work good. Can't tell ya if either one will change ur life over the other.. I have that m18 hackzall too.. I do however like the bigger rubber boot on the fuel sawzall..

Is this new?

It's just a regular phone charger isn't it? But it's "heavy duty" lol. The picture shows it plugged into a unit that goes onto an m12 battery, that would be handy, do they carry those at HD? What would that piece be called?

I didn't even notice that.. maybe it'll work as a pocket sized charger used with a new m12 power source coming out.

The actual item for sale is suppose to be for the new USB rechargeable lighting coming out.. headlamps, rover light, inspection light, and flashlight.

Great idea...

That's the parts organizer isn't it?

I have one those since it is modular it does make a fairly decent carry for tool and accessories. The customizable foam inset would be nice/

Too bad in a way its kind of too bad the hard cases most tool come in don't have an easily removable molded insert. The boxes alone would be great for a lot of stuff.

I have pile of them I never much use.

Can you just cut the guts out?

Most of the hard cases Ive had seem like they are "double walled" so you could cut out the inside wall and make it a somewhat useful shape (and add foam if you wanted also)

In case anyone is interested, at the time I am posting this, the $20 off $120 MIL20 code stacks on the 10% off 2 or 20% off 3 M18 tool promo at CPO. It does not stack on the other Milwaukee promos though.

Kind of wondered what would be the best way

All of my Milwaukee power tools are in these tool organizer cases with the Kaizen foam inserts. I like it. For me, the easiest and cleanest way (both appearance and actual mess wise) was to use a heat gun (aka blow drier) to soften up the plastic and slice it out with a knife.

No OMT needed!

I've noticed several people saying they have too many chargers and that they're not worth selling. If anyone wants to move along a few chargers, please pm me with offers. I'm interested in grabbing a few extras for my very modest Milwaukee collection.

I'm curious, what uses have you found for the OMT? To me it's like a multitool, and I've invested so much into specific tools that each excel at their jobs, where as an oscillating multi tool seems like something an average Joe would buy to do general work. That's just my view on it, but what do you guys use them for? Does it do anything other tools cannot?

It's about the best thing in the world for plunge cutting into / making shaped cuts in drywall.

...That is all.

I've seen metal cutting blades available for multi tools, have you ever tried using them for cutting metal? I do woodwork/drywall stuff around the house when it's needed but very rarely, I work with metal more than anything. Do OMTs do ok with metal?

I have some metal blades for mine (Fein Super Cut) but they really didn't seem to do anything. One time I was taking apart a crappy old storage table that the previous owners left in the house and the screws on one of the hinges were stripped and I thought I'll just cut the hinge with the SC. No dice. Didn't even make a dent in it after a few minutes of intense buzzing. Dremel cutoff wheel zipped through it in a second or two. I think I tried both Fein brand and Imperial blades. Does work pretty well in wood though. I've toyed around with making some rough and ready 10 second dove tails with one for a fun video some time.

If you need to cut door trim because you're instslling a new, slightly thicker wood floor, you can do it neatly with a OMT without removing the trim. If the original floor is laid in both the hall and a bedroom, and you only want to redo the hall, you can cut the old floorboards right up to the door trim.

Got a care package from the UK today. Perfect fit and took longer to search for my torx driver than to swap the parts. Its to bad these arent offered state side.

The bag is from the miter saw. Depending on how it works out ill order another bag so i domt have to swap them.

It is the one tool that I reach for all the time. I don't have the most extensive tool collection. But an omt will fill in gaps in between other tools. I am currently remodeling my bathroom. It was used so much. I had to cut part of the sill plate out. It worked perfect to cut it then cut the nails that held it to the studs. It is perfect for any really fine work. It works good on thinner metal that other things wouldn't work well. No Sparks. I have used it to cut the tops off of those green camping propane tanks as well. It cuts nails really well. One other cool thing about it is that it won't hurt you. You can put your hand on the moving blade and it won't cut you. Since it moves only a little bit. Your skin just shakes back and forth with it. I have used some times that I had to cut something that is so small my fingers are really close to the blade. If I slip and hit the blade it doesn't hurt anything. It is by far the best tool for accurate and clean plunge cuts. As well as cutting drywall.

You have to slow the speed of the tool way down, otherwise the nail or screw strips the teeth right off of the blade.

If the trim nail (or screw) is hardened, those are tough to cut.

Bosch makes a carbide tipped blade for the omt depot has them. They are about $25 but lasts 20x or better than any regular blade. They also do pretty well with metal will cut many nails before the teeth get damaged.

I was going through Several of the cheap $5 per day then I tried the carbide blade which sometimes lasts for weeks. So it's actually quite a good deal

Nize, mine showed up other day.

Speaking about boots, I had gotten 49-16-2754 from HD for $24, thought it was for the 2754 V2 Fuel 3/8, it says for 26xx models, is a little loose, so is it not the right one?

Wish the impacts could be stored in the cases with boots on...

Mid torque boot came today...
