Some people sure seem to have generous Home Depot managers. Not one store in the Louisville area ever has any of the deals that some of you are able to find. I have to wonder if it is a regional thing or what. But then again, I never get the run time from my batteries that some reference regardless if it's an M12 or M18 variety in any Amp variation .....

I just picked up the mid-torque a few days ago. [emoji38]
Does anyone know if these and the Fuel Ratchets are coming out early September, or late September? I need to know which part of the month I'm gonna be broke lol.

I would like to know myself. As you can see, I'm bored at the moment and kind of wondering the same

You know exactly what I mean. That's why I c a r e f u l l y worded my post ....

Here is the receipt where I was able to get a 18 gauge Fuel brad nailer kit for $95.03 + tax as compared to $399 if that helps with your belief. I ended up buying several more along with a 15 gauge angle for $101 + tax which I kept.

I hate you! LOL

These clearance deals you're seeking are based on sales and not the same across all stores. One store my be on clearance but the one down the street might be regular priced. The higher volume/sales stores usually don't see them get as low as .03. Most Milwaukee deals in my area will hit .00 then stay there forever.

I think they are clearing out the Milwaukee nailers because they just arent that great a product (especially compared to the Ryobi equivalents for 1/3rd the cost)

Probably a decent deal at clearance prices, if you can find them. Just might have to deal with warrantying them if they dont work out of the box or break too soon.

Home Depot does crazy things...they cleared these out so they could carry the tool only version and charge $300

I bought a jig saw on closeout for $35, tool only. The very next week they had a shelf full of the same part number for $129...they make no sense

I've noticed the same behavior in the Rural King stores around me. Here the Klein tools had a few on sale but not posted at the rack / shelf. Found out when I purchased a couple of them. In Kokomo, they were all marked (half price on about half of the tools they had hanging). In Columbus, I checked a couple (rack/shelves not marked) and nothing on sale.

Retail is weird sometimes....

Speaking of RK, they run adds from time to time on Milwaukee, buy one get one, buy one get a battery... I suspect those are storewide specials.. Advertised in the Sunday paper, etc.

They are replacing them with new models, one of my local stores has the new models on the shelf already.

Technically the models are the same but they are switching to "tool only" instead of kits. Same thing happened locally with 1 week of clearance kits being sold out.

Ahh...I was going to say, I didnt see any new models listed, figured if they were new they would have been shown at NPS17

Hung some OPE today. I noticed the slot in the string trimmer is large enough to take a 1/4-20 hex head (ie 7/16") but for the blower and hedge trimmer I had to use a socket head cap screw.

Anyway nice to finally have this shtuff off the floor!

My interior sheeting is something like 26 ga so I build these hangers from scrap Al flat bar. They're anchored tight with special tapered self-drill sheet metal screws, then I can have my hanger bolt (1/4-20) protrude out as needed.

Apologies for only 1 pic per post on my phone.

edit: the Stitch Tek screws are Fastenal 32104, 1/4 x 7/8

Has anyone used the M12 Heated hoodies or jackets? I'm thinking about getting one for my mom to use training dogs this winter and I could use one plowing the driveway on the ATV.

I have a few of them.. the older softshell jackets (from the winter before the last winter) are better than the newer "tougher material" version IMO. they are physically lighter, and just more insulated. The sizes also got very strange with the new version. I bought 2 of em and returned both since my 2 softshell jackets fit better, were warmer, and were more comfortable. I have 2 or 3 of the hoodies, I honestly don't even wear them with the heat on, the 3-1 heated ripstop, also barely ever used, and a dewalt heated hoodies too. The softshell jackets are the best ones. The jackets have 5 zones of heat, compared to the hoodies having 3. The hoodies do both sides of the upper chest, and the back, while the jackets also do both front pockets. I've spent a few winters working outside everyday with just a tank top, long sleeve shirt, carhartt hat, and the heated jacket on high down to 0 degree temps..

The 2.0 batteries last about 2 hours I think with all 5 zones on high. I'd bring 3 batteries just in case I needed them for a long day, and would always keep one on a charger in the truck.

I don't see a model number on the one I have, but the newer versions of men's jackets are advertised as "ToughShell". It looks like on the site that they never changed the women's jacket over to that material, so it's probably more like the older one I like.. the softshell men's version I like is the black model with the grey sides. Can't find the model number, but I'm sure someone here knows what it is if you wanna try and find one.. obviously the women's version is an option, but many wind up getting the men's jacket anyway since that's what's always in the stores.

What does a corded model run pricewise these days? Thinking of going corded for my circ saw and seawall since my use of them is rare and I don't want to have to shell out big bucks every 5-10 years when a battery system is obsolete.

I have/had two of the first generation of hoodies I really liked the look and feel of my old Khaki one but it ripped it several times on the job so they replaced it under warranty but since that version had been discontinued I ended up with a camo one (RealTree?) which has a different outer shell and seems a more water repellant fabric. My original cotton one had no water repellency to speak of and soaked up water like a sponge.

I never found the heat to be that great on my hoodies and it didn't really have it WHERE I could have really used it like around the pockets so I could warm my hands and also for my lower back /kidney area. That would have been very good. Just shoulders and chest and I found I often had my hoodie open in the front most times anyways. The battery pocket was inside and slightly over the hip though hard to get at and obviously you had to open your coat to change the battery :p.

Later hoodies ones were different and had different battery pockets but I am not that familiar with what's currently offered though at least one person once commented here in the past that they would prefer the older inside pocket setup.

I have I believe the original hoodie and also the jacket from last year--I checked out thew new hoodies last year and didn't like how they felt. They felt thinner and I'm not sure how to describe it, it was a weird feeling material they were using

I like the original hoodie, and I mostly like the jacket from last year. What I'd really like is a jacket with a hood built in...

Just adding this, the heated hoodies are a good choice if you wanna wear them UNDER something. Say just a t shirt, hoodie, and a light jacket.. the jacket will retain the heat the hoodie gives off, and they are thin enough that they don't add a bulky layer. Basically, it would allow you to wear a thinner jacket over a thick insulated winter coat.

You'll read poor reviews of the coats online, mostly people complaining that they don't get warm enough with the heat on. what these people don't understand, is that you only benefit from the heat by wearing LESS clothes. You need to be able to feel the hear against you. If you wear 3 layers of clothes and a sweatshirt under a heated coat, you're just wasting your time and money.

Like I said, tank top, long sleeve shirt (like a thinner Carhartt), hat, heated jacket on high, you'll be set for some cold weather..

No doubt the heating elements do work good though and definitely warm enough In fact enough to melt the snow on piling up my back

And ya you do have to feel the heat through your clothes. :)

Somewhere its also been said that the snugger the fit the better you will notice heat transfer. My original hoodies were sized large which is normal sizing for me but they were definitely generous fit then and maybe just layering them over t shirt a medium would have sufficed

I work outdoors a lot and live in the New England area so I deal with cold often more than I like :p

I'm seeing some FB deals from Nick Morello this morning on the newest 2767 high torque impact 1400ftlbs.

Is it any smaller or lighter than the original one?
