How's the Gen 2 High Torque so far?
Rushed home just now for the 3rd day in a row and it's here! Along with that $75 9.0 I ordered with the eBay discount. I just unboxed it, threw a fresh 5.0 in.. I definitely can feel the extra torqueiness... lol. I'm already in love with the LED position and the 4 modes. Mode one feels a little higher than the previous model, which is good in my opinion. Mode two will be very useful for me. I have a few errands to run right now but when I'm done with that I have a couple things I've been holding off doing till I got this, I'll test it out and post up my feedback tonight. Unfortunately I don't have anything here at home that will even make this thing break a sweat, but at work tomorrow I'll find some big stuff to let it flex it's muscles on. Here's a few quick pics I snapped.

Is the mode switch better than on the old one? I hate the stupid soft button on the 2763-20. I have a hell of a time switching modes with gloves on.

Got it from Nick on FB when he first posted the bare tools for $226

I don't know if he's selling the bare tools still, but I know today he posted just the tool and a 5.0 for a reasonable price. It seems he's trying to take advantage of the demand for them and the fact they still aren't available elsewhere by only selling them in kits with other tools. He only sells a certain amount of these by themselves at a time, it seems.

Thanks. I have tried to join that group but no luck so far. My join request has been in for a few days. Not sure why it hasn't been approved.

It looks the same, but it seems like the button sits higher, and is easier to depress. Can't say for sure though so already sold my old one.

Sweet, I have mode envy as I have no plan to upgrade my 2763.... Unless I stumble on quadruple discounts on the 2767.... But I have the 2763 hard case and boot, thats even more $ needed to upgrade....

I'll definitely be getting the 2767 just 'cause. But I'm in no rush, there will be some promos sooner or later. If nothing else we're not that far from BF and every year there are killer Milwaukee deals.

I've already got the 2763, 2861 mid and 2755b compact in 1/2" drive LOL

I was going to hold off, but I figured I'd try selling my 2763 and if I could get a decent amount I'd upgrade, I use it quite often on heavy machinery, plus bragging rights lol. I posted my old one with 1100 Ft/lbs in the title and had like 20 offers in 3 hours, sold it for $170.

Just gonna post this one more time - if anyone is interested in a new 7.25" fuel circ saw and rapid charger for like $175 shipped, lemme know.. if nobody bites I'm not gonna bother buying the last promo kit that's in my store. U can't get em online anymore.

If anyone wants to know how mental I am, I said I was thinking about buying the Bluetooth speaker or the big jobsite radio yesterday. I don't even need either, I barely use the m12 radio I have, but I thought I had $100 hd gift card laying around so I figured **** it, I'll buy something.

Turns out my gift cards are for Amazon, so I said oh well - not wasting the money now. I talked myself into going to hd 10 min before they closed to buy glass cleaner. Got there, said "eh, lemme just look".. now I have the big jobsite radio in my living room. I'm honestly debating on just returning it though..

I can pay for 2/3 of the exhaust I NEED to buy for my truck, or the m18 heat gun.. I don't even have a jobsite I can use a friggin radio at, and I STILL bought it.

$154 free shipping for the refurb.. don't be scared of the cpo refurb units

http://www.cpomilwaukee.com/factory...light--bare-tool-/milr2130-80,default,pd.html

The one your looking at is $100 I think.. the tower light is twice as bright, with a tripod and 7' tall mast... think about what that extra $50 gets ya..

It's not just the money, for me it's storage and transportation as well, it seems like it'd be a pain to bring between work and home.

My local pawn has a 5337 demolition hammer. Looks like this is a 3/4" hex shank per my searching. The tool is in its original blow-molded case. It's dirty but it's a used tool.

They're "asking" $275 which means they'll take less. Looks to retail $720 to $850 online, new.

I can't recall ever needing a demo hammer but I kinda want it.

Thoughts? Anyone ever use this model? Is it well-regarded?

I ran my little M12 speaker all day today 11 am to 6pm nonstop and also yesterday for at least another 4-5 hours direct jacked from my mp3 player set on the FM mode and using a compact 2.0 worked great. Anything bigger than that isn't cutting it with the management this time of year and it's not like I'm working alone here right now:D

I have it everything recharging now for tomorrows workday.

The MP3 is charging from the USB port on the speaker with fresh battery I put in when I got home and the original 2.0 I was using all this time is in a multicharger all sitting on my workbench for my way out the door in the morning

Not sure if you changed your mind. That price vs the possibly available $250 9.0ah saw kit is only $75 different. I know the saw is $200+ by itself though.
Hmm, I'd actually really like a 6.5 " Fuel for easier plunge cuts & cutting sideways on a house.

Wow, after discount but add tax that's $167 each kit. A good $30 cheaper than my online buy from I think Acmetools w/ 20+ % off sale.

Point being, the saws are sold out online at hd.. only the sawzall kit is available.. whatever is in the store is the last, if you can find one.. and you'd be paying another $21 in tax for a full priced promo kit if you find one somewhere else.. so thats almost $100 difference in price, basically the cost of the 9.0 online these days..

Regardless, it's $25 cheaper than a bare tool, plus a $70 charger for free, with receipt.. I eat the shipping cost, so anything less it becomes not worth it. I can spend another $20, get just a battery online, and not deal with the hassle of saving someone else money too.

I've been eyeballing the M18 Metal Cutting saw... was perusing eBay and found one use for $69. Claims it works perfectly, good ratings so I went for it. I'll definitely use it I just couldn't really justify it for the $160 price tag. This will make the couple times a week I work with sheet metal a dream.

I see now, I'm humbled. Ok, I'll buy the saw & charger from ya if you if that's ok. Private message PayPal address or better way for me to pay.
Thank you.

Quadruple discounts [emoji23]

I, too, don't plan on replacing my 2763 since it does all I need it to do and frankly I don't use it that much (but when I do...it's invaluable). What I find most appealing with the gen 2 HT impact is it's length. I looks like the motor doesn't hang over the back so much, which would be really beneficial. That has gotten in the way more than a few times on the 2763 for me.

Thank God for extensions and universal sockets/joints

I have had one of those since they came out.. love it most of the time. I wish it had 8 sides instead of 6 though, every now and then I find myself propping it up with something to make the angle a little different. Works very well for working on cars on the ground.. just roll it under the car and it's a ton of light and lasts for hours. The battery life is just insane for the amount of light it puts out

It's been very rugged for me, I've thrown it a few times, drug it across concrete plenty of times, no issues at all. The clear lens over the LED's is also replaceable if it gets scratched up.

I haven't tried the newer version yet.. it looks brighter and more adjustable but is def. bigger too so it's just a trade off
