Oh, I am literally going through every search result for "Milwaukee" on the hd site looking for stuff to add to my Christmas wish list, or just something to add to my own list.. I'm running out of things to "want"

Also - the Fuel 1/2" and 3/8" ratchets (bare tool) are IN the store at my local hd. They took them out of the boxes while I was there.. they are hidden though. They have them at the m12 tool display end cap, but no display, and on the SIDES of the lower shelves. You'd never see them unless you actually looked for them.

I have a confession to make.. I went to hd after work to buy a Milwaukee stapler, the manual one.. NONE of the stores anywhere near me has them in the store anymore, it's an online only offering now. I EVEN looked for the m12 stapler, (on some jobs we do once a month, we need to drive in about a dozen staples, so that seemed perfectly worth it to buy a $100 cordless stapler to me). Suppose to be 3 in stock, nowhere to be found. I HAD to resort to buying a Dewalt model.. it took me 45 min to work my way to the register to actually do it..

I have two larger convertible hand trucks from Milwaukee. They're pretty nice. I got them from a return/surplus auction though for 50$ a piece which was an insane steal. I've thought about getting one like what you linked to just keep folded up in my truck's trunk for smaller stuff. As far as I know Milwaukee is a pretty good name in hand trucks.

It was the SAVE-10% I think, sorry you couldnt get it to work.

I really wanted the cooler and thought about it with the Milwaukee $20 but didnt, once realized I could do 10% too was no brainer. Dad wants the blower sell trimmer 9 and charger, cooler will be free free to me.

Surprised CPO hasnt had any deals worth while. After not getting much from them for a year or two, the had some good deals spring to summer. Its just standard Milwaukee promos, dont think they even had the $20 off. International stepped it up like usual with an extra little freebie and the $20 working on all deals, even Acme didnt allow the $20 on the $74 M12 specials. CPOs email today Milwaukee Cyber week deals.... all deals out for a while.

I'd guess because it would have to be so big and bulky that it doesn't make sense.

This has been brought up several times recently, I'm guessing the same reason there isn't an m18 rotary tool or an m18 1/4" square impact. They're tools designed specifically to be as compact as possible.

That said, it would be awesome if they came out with an M18 ratchet that could put out 70+ ft/lb of torque, even if it was thicker and longer. Not as a replacement for the m12 ratchets but as another tool for the mechanics arsenal. There's tons of times where an impact don't fit, but there's more than enough room for a ratchet even if it was twice the size. If say like an IR hammerhead style, but we've seen Milwaukee's botched attempt at that.

i dont understand why this exists. i could understand an M18 temp light. but a 200$ plug in temp light doesnt make sense to me.

what makes more sense is that light with an M18 battery slot, and a M18 style plug in adapter to go in it. (or an M12 version. they should know what is more popular on service trucks, M12 or M18.)

a temp light for places without power in that form factor makes sense. adding an option to plug it in makes it an attractive option, even for the price.

but i could make the same thing for 20$ in parts from HD, and i wouldn't be pissed off if i left it behind by mistake . . . . .

I remember seeing the demo. I believe it's suppose to be easier to hook up or something like that. Might be Bluetooth controlled also but I'm not sure.. there's a reason though..

Hopefully you find a use for it. Tried to use mine the other day and found it useless for the situation. I think I have hit my max disdain for it, might have to find some sucker to buy it from me.

Funny its it Milwaukees newest tool hype email, the show it mounted on a framed wall stud.... Apparently this is its intended purpose, not floor or ceiling or anything else.

but this application looks like a permanent installation. were he using it as a temp light,
it would be closer to the area he is working on, and the cord would not be routed above the pipes on the left.

it is not that i dont see an application, i just dont see the benefit of that 200$ item.

i admit to putting receptacle boxes in an exposed ceiling like that. it makes things like replacing
or reconfiguring lights easier. but that doesnt mean that they are everywhere, and having
the set the ladder (or lift) up, plug the light in, and hang it temporarily as far as i can reach,
and then having to move said ladder (or lift) to the area in am working in, and reversing
the procedure when i am done, seems like a pain that could be avoided if there was a
M12/18 battery i could just click into it, and climb (or lift) to where i am working, and hang it nearby.

this also allows me to fix the electrical problem that is causing the lights to be out in the first place.

i also understand replacing lights like those with LED based lights. the one you show has
that exposed bulb that looks too breakable for me to want to carry in a tool truck. . . . . .

When your on a job like this

And there is no permanent power anywhere, the construction management company is required to provide temporary lighting on every floor. They need something that can be hung up and temporarily wired until permanent power is finished and the lighting is installed in the ceiling grid. Once permanent lighting is installed and operational they go back and remove those lights and take them to the next site.

These buildings are very big and require high powered lights to be able to light up big areas and small battery powered lights aren’t going to cut it.

When there are areas where lighting can’t be hung then you start to see lights like this sitting on the floor

That’s why Milwaukee came out with this

Some of these products are designed specifically for industrial commercial applications. And because they are LED they are a lot safer for guys like me who are working around them in aerial lifts because they are cooler to the touch and have no risk of bulbs breaking that can cause burns.

Yep, thats the one I had too. I was stoked for the deal, been waiting on the trimmer to go on deal gain, then the free blower, cooler, $20 promo and the 10% off wouldve been sweet. Now with it back to normal, not as tempting. Dont need the blower since I already have a gas one, but it was icing on the cake.

I use my M12
by sticking it on duct work or hanging from the joists in a basement ceiling while doing electrical work. Changing a panel out, etc. I'll also use

it while on a scissor lift to light up my work area in industrial setting ceilings. Some can get quite dark. Especially in older buildings.

I will use this the same way, but it's nice to be able to use the M18 battery platform as well.

Used mine yesterday I had to release a bunch of barbed end hose fittings on long runs irrigation drip lines we were disassembling so we could pick them up and store them away for the winter, And warming up the hose end made it whole lot easier to pull them apart.

IMO oes run thru batteries pretty easy though went down two bars on a 4.0 in very short time of use.

I only have the 3ah batts but I’m going to get the 9 next week perfect timing today the Milwaukee tool rep was at the store this morning I asked about the m12 staple gun and he told me next week it should be on display but they had it in stock I’m trying to justify it lol that soldering iron looks good but what does it compare to in a electric model? I have a corded Tena that’s goes up to 60w for larger gauge wires

Lol this thread for me is very dangerous each time I come here I see someone got a new tool which would be perfect for me when working on the car I need a tool box I have a old husky bag but it’s showing its age. Plus I hate digging in a bag and my tools are not in order

I ordered a Milwaukee M12 heated jacket 201B-202X on Monday from what I thought was I reputable online retailer. They are listed as one of the dealers on Milwaukee's rebate forms.

Today I get an email stating the jacket has been discontinued with no replacement by Milwaukee so they are canceling the order. Has anyone heard about this? I go to the same retailer website and try and order it now and its still there listed as in stock without the cyber Monday discount.

Just wondering if anyone has some knowledge about this, I can't see Milwaukee discontinuing the jacket all of the sudden.

What retailer?

201B is the new model they came out with last year, perhaps being replaced in 2018 and that size is all gone? Inquire with Milwaukee?

Milwaukee specs its at 90w and 750 degree

I also have a corded bench unit a Hexacon from my soldering days in the electronics factory that met our Mil Spec certification. This new Milwaukee unit is just ideal for remote work trailer wiring, under dash whatever. I have been holding off forever on getting a cordless model the majority other models just couldn't cut it,

Like I said earlier only thing kind of wish it had was some type of stand holder just in case it rolls or tips over it wouldn't melt something. Using a compact battery not all that stable as a big XC would be...but that be total overkill

Whoa... 90w ahhh damn another idea on my wish list.. lol I about two months ago used my power inverter plus my soldering stationing the car to do some wires man I thought it was only going to be like 40w.

Anyone know how the battery life is when using the heat gun? I am really tempted to get it since I use a heat gun somewhat often.

And I just bought the Milwaukee m18 search light. I would say I think it’s the best handheld light for work I have used.

If you can wait until tomorrow I can tell you.. I have to install some stuff in the car so I will be outside most of the time.. I can tell you just in the house today I started with 4 bars it drops to 2 when running.. I held it for about 3 min before I got tired and I just decided to throw the battery on the charge.. It's the XC 3 Ah battery.

Man I'm so glad I went with Milwaukee over Ridgid.

I was going to buy the rover light but I held off how's the magnet on it?
