I ordered the 3/8" stubby, two Milwaukee knives and the boot late on Labor Dabor night. Then Discover blocked the charge when they tried to ship it originally and I had to call and sort it out. I got the knives early last week, then late last week I got the impact. I still haven't gotten the boot. Friend from work ordered the 3/8" impact and boot and two nails earlier on Labor Dabor weekend and he hasn't received anything yet. Acme's shipping is beyond screwy.

Sale ended last night and back up to $160 for the Gen 1 so I'm going with the Gen 2 for $99 now. Have gotten a few bare tools with free battery combo's lately so else I would've gotten the Gen 1 immediately for the battery too.

Think this will be my last until BF/CM sales.

Well went to order but then saw for $170 ($270 total) more I can get a combo with two 9 amp batteries and a rapid charger. Decisions decisions. Don't have any 9 amps at moment but could see one being beneficial in my rocket light too.

i have two 9AH's. they weigh a ton, and seem to throw off the balance of the tools i have tried them on.

while i can certainly see uses for 9's and 12's like the table saw, or the OPE, or the lights, as you mentioned, i think that, for my uses, the small (2AH) and medium (5-6AH) format batteries seem like a better deal. i am not far enough from a charger that it has ever been an issue.

My m12 6.0 battery arrived today.. full retail packaging too.. I’m wondering how many guys are buying four of these at half price and running to Home Depot to double their money in store credit.. lol

I wouldn't waste my one non-receipt return a year doing that, but I'm sure some will. I try to always save my receipts, but something always seems to happen where you need that exception.

What do you mean “one non receipt a year”? Did something change at hd?

Last I was aware, you are essentially allowed one no-receipt return a year at HD (and really any other retailer that use The Retail Equation). Maybe things have changed, and more in relation to the amount you purchase there now. They require your ID for the no-receipt, and then issue a store-credit that is attached to your ID, which is a more recent policy change to prevent re-selling of store-credit. Maybe with that change, they eased on the no-receipt return limit.

Yea cause I’ve returned tons of things with no receipt and taken credit instead.. i know its gonna be spent back in the store at some point anyway, and I’ve never been denied. Last i heard it was up to a certain $ amount, and that must be pretty high.
Now that they can track card purchases it doesn’t happen to me so often.

I noticed that in a couple of Milwaukee tools I sourced the other day from Home Depot one box had a green sticker, the other had a yellow round sticker affixed to the box. Am I supposed to be concerned if it has yellow sticker? The box was in pristine condition. Could someone have returned it and resold by Home Depot? Was it RTV'ed (Returned to vendor for testing at some point)? The tape doesn't appear tampered and the box was covered in plastic wrap. Should I return it?

Could they applied that yellow sticker by mistake?

Yeah I thought it was more about $ amount of no receipt returns than the frequency. Perhaps its a mix. I though try not to do more than once in a blue moon.

Actually just did a no receipt yesterday, returned Milwaukee 25' mag tape to get the 35' one.

Wonder if any of the hard cases are going to be updated to fit a 12.0. Will have to check my 2997 case to see. They did update many cases to fit the 9.0, but I dont think making cases fit the 12.0 is as feasible.

I've got the 2438-20 M12 buffer set up. It's a damned great tool that Milwaukee is asleep at the wheel on marketing.

Just watched a Dremel commercial where they offer a similar tool with a multitude of attachments.

Milwaukee needs to start selling a multitude of attachments to open the market up for this tool. Or one, I'd love a rolock attachment without having to make one. Scrub brush, a wire wheel, scotchbrite pads, attachments for cleaning out crevices in wheels for detailers, etc.
it is a way under used tool with a lot of potential.

They need to stop using the fawking M9x.75 thread, too. WTF are you using a thread only found on high-end (writing) pens? If it's an attempt at being proprietary it's weak.

Received delivery notice for my 3/8" Stubby impact about an hour ago...

Too bad it didn't get delivered to my house. I was sitting here at my front door when it says it was delivered, no Fedex guy in sight. I opened a case with Fedex, we'll see how this pans out.

Nope. I did check that, but where I sit all day I face out the big front windows of my house and see the mail box and entire cul de sac, no Fedex driver here today.

Just received my 1/2” stubby and I seriously didn’t think it was gonna be this tiny. Now I just gotta order the 3/8” anvil in case I decide that having the 1/2” HTIW, 1/2” MT and now this lil’ guy is too many 1/2” dr impacts.
Still need to get a boot for the MT so I might as well order both boots and the anvil at the same time.

Would anyone believe that in 3 months my debit card info has been stolen twice.. this is getting outta hand..

My last debit card made it three transactions in four days before getting stolen. Two gas stations and a city parking meter.

Used my 3/8" stubby for the first time today...zipped the lugs of the old Jeep GC...no problem.
Muffler replace.
Waiting for my boot from ebay.

Want me to one up ya??

So after dealing with my debit card a few hours ago, I just got off the phone with a girl I’ve know for last 17 years - that just told me her 12yr old son is mine.. congratulations GJ and the Milwaukee thread, you’re the first to know.

That's certainly a 1 up. Hopefully she isn't asking for 12 years of back child support :shocking: DNA test that **** for sure.

You definitely win that one... You gotta fill us in on all of the info because that pretty crazy. Has she let the son know that your the father? By that age, they should take some likeness to the father's features.

Man... That's crazy.

Back to Milwaukee thread... Got nothing out of Fedex last night worthwhile, they said it takes 24-48 hours to complete an investigation.

Got my $47 6.0 M12 battery yesterday. In retail packaging.

Should have bought two.

Ordered 1 last week and finally received it today. When I got my 1/2” stubby in yesterday I convinced myself I needed a second one. So that one will be in Friday.

Was about to check out on eBay for the 3/8 stubby and it was sold during my check out. All the others charge tax and so the savings are nominal. Oh well
