I look forward to seeing this new setup. I really liked the Gen 2 box but it disappeared before I could buy one.

Same here, I've been waffling between the similar 52" and 56" Husky boxes, but have held off because I heard these were coming. I just hope the price doesn't go too high.

That 52 deep has to be $1200 plus, hopefully the 40" mobile workstation is sub $500, $400 would be sweet. Dont see that 52 monster selling well. Plus I have no freaking room for it! I can fit a 40 station if I toss my HF tool cart.

LOL I know its tough keeping up with this thread, but many of us have been jealous of those better looking boxes all year.

According to ToolGuyd the new Milwaukee 52" tool chest demoed at NPS18

https://toolguyd.com/milwaukee-46-premium-tool-storage-combo-availability-update/

Stuart thinks the 52" Milwaukee chest will be $1,400. Check out this comment from the comments section of the thread above:

"Stuart says

May 9, 2018 at 7:58 pm

New features include electronic locks, new 52″ size, 150 lb drawer slides, new power strip with one outlet that has “wall wart” power adapter spacing and an angled plug. I believe it’ll be $1400."

The Husky Industrial 52" is very comparable and is currently priced at $898.00. Don't know if I could convince myself to spend the extra $500 for 30 pound higher drawer slides, electronic locks and the external Milwaukee charger mount. I like the red color scheme, though.

Here's a post on the electronic locks: https://toolguyd.com/tool-chest-cabinet-features-wishlist-2018/

Fedex just dropped this off, ordered Sunday from BC Fasteners in Vancouver as part of their BF deals

...

I tried to order something from BC Fasteners on Cyber Monday - no deal at all on Milwaukee power tools. :( I complained on web chat, person on the other end said he could give me a deal on the boot, but nothing on the tool. If it's the same price as local - and instant gratification - then I'm going local. The boys at Mississauga Hardware open at 6:00 am. They're there and open before then - none of that waiting 'till the dot of 6:00 before opening. So I reward them with my business, they're 5 minutes out of my way on the way to work.

My buddy with the garage was so impressed with my 2554 that he wanted one too. So I grabbed a -22, this is his first Milwaukee! Another addict in the making! :lol_hitti

This will see a serious amount of use, I'm going to be interested in its durability!

I do not like to use the word or any associated word to addiction. In my limited understanding, this shows a weakness of character.
If MILWAUKEE makes it, I will likely have it, or I will have it in the near future. I think this shows a strong character by passing on the other offerings. Anyway, I do not like the colour yellow. I had thought, at one time, if it is red, it will be easier to find. That worked well until all of the power tools were red.

Picked up the second gen M12 Fuel Drill/Impact kit from Home Depot earlier this week. $169 seemed like a good deal for the kit with a 2.0 and 4.0. Shocked how much shorter they are compared to the previous generation.

The only gripe I have so far is the forward/reverse selector has little to no feedback compared to the last gen with very positive clicks for forward and reverse. Minor difference, but they feel a little cheaper because of it.

Dad bought a new house out of state. Figured giving him my old drill/impact would make misc. projects go a little more smoothly when I visit and was a great opportunity to upgrade.

Has anyone used the M12 Fuel hammer drill in concrete? I know I will be mounting a TV bracket onto what I think is a block wall with stucco. Curious if it's worth shipping my rotary hammer for the week or if I can get away with the hammer drill for just a few holes. I understand it would take a bit longer, but wondering if it's even feasible.

I've done several 3/16" holes with my 1st gen and didn't have any problems. It was noticeably faster than the 18v XRP Dewalt we have at work.

I've had a few tools over time with that loose feel in the slide switch. it just notched contact point with the trigger. There was a video published a long time ago showing how to disassemble the tool and used a file to make a slightly deeper notch more positive stop.

Although you didn't say what size hole you want to drill and what fasteners you will be using my best guess is that the Fuel would drill thru that block and coating like butter easily at 1/4", really it's not going to be like its poured concrete. :D

I used a non fuel M12 hammer drill once in a pinch to drill a couple of half inch hole in a concrete floor for lag shields :lol_hitti

How did you find these for $169? I am seeing $229.

Your hammerdrill will go through block and stucco with ease.

I am sure I missed it but since most of us have the MIL porta band saws either corded or battery, I thought this was an interesting add on although most of us also have a Swag porta band stand...thoughts?
p/n 48-08-0260 about $250 on the web, looks super heavy duty.

Hammerdrill should be fine. In a pinch, same masonary bit should be okay as well in ur drill.....just a bit more work. We're only talking 4 bolts. It depends on the slots on your bracket - usually 3/16 togglers are my preferred

It doesn't bother me enough to take the tool apart, but just an observation.

I'm not sure what size the holes will be yet or fasteners (always had stud walls int he past). I'd assume no larger than 5/16" and probably Tapcon screws. I'm guessing it will be a 65-70" TV. Sounds like the holes shouldn't be an issue though. Thanks everyone.

How did you find these for $169? I am seeing $229.

It was a special buy over the weekend (2598-22). Can't remember if I bought it Sunday or Monday, but it was mentioned in the deals thread. Up to $199 now, but still cheaper than nearly everywhere else: https://www.homedepot.com/p/Milwauk...it-2-Tool-w-2-Batteries-Bag-2598-22/303101201

The 2596-22 for $229 at Home Depot is for the non-hammer drill Fuel kit.

Recently helping a friend finish his basement.

He has a 2612 M18 5/8 SDS. Drilling 5/32 holes is very easy and quick in the concrete floor. Instead of bring my bad boy fuel SDS over, I have used my M18 Fuel hammer drill on a few, it does the job but requires a lot more effort from me, it maybe is about the same speed but requires more strength to get the job done in the same time. The M12 Fuel hammer drill can easily do it also but just requires more oomph behind the tool. Also drilling concrete with a hammer drill takes a lot more battery, the SDS runs forever.

We are using 1/4 tapcon screws, 5/32 was the recommended drill hole.

Hammerdrill should be fine. In a pinch, same masonary bit should be okay as well in ur drill.....just a bit more work. We're only talking 4 bolts. It depends on the slots on your bracket - usually 3/16 togglers are my preferred

At the end of a hard day yesterday I jumped a curb and then found that I needed to pump up the rear tires of my truck. It was cold and dark so I got out my M12 inflator and the M12 lantern. And then the job turned fun because all I had to do was watch. No dragging out the compressor, no uncoiling the hose, etc. So I spent another five minutes and pumped up the front car tires this morning. What a great little tool!

Well the Cyber buys are rolling in this week :D

I'm thinking now maybe I should have bought this 2621 cordless sawzall sooner than later :spit:

Can't really remember if there was any better price deal for me before this though

$99 free 4.0AH battery and free shipping

Off the top of my head I believe I ordered it late last Sat night from ACME :headscrat and was on my door step late this afternoon when I come home.

Chucked up some 14t1 and 10 tpi bi metal blades and quickly sliced off three pieces of 2"x 2" sq. 1/4" thick. steel tubing.

Just overlook that yellow stuff on the blades :lol_hitti

Totally forgot I ordered the M12/M18 jobsite speaker earlier this week until it showed up today (set an alarm to wake up to order Monday morning then went back to sleep). It's a lot bigger than I expected and even forgot it could take the M18 battery.

Sound quality is better than expected. It hits lower frequencies much better than the M12 portable speaker. It's not booming bass by any stretch of the imagination, but it gets loud and the bass is actually audible. Can't wait until spring/summer to really use it in the garage.

I feel like the 12.0 charges faster than the 9.0 on my rapid station, do the 21700 cells charge faster? Gonna have to runa real test.

Spent $1,100 on m12 tools this week I knew I should have just bought one of the big M18 kits. But this should be more fun as I really am a car guy not much wood more general house maintenance.

Went a little overboard but should be set for years to come. A buddy gave me a set of 1/4 and 3/8 SAE snap on impact sockets so I decided to get the 1/4 and 3/8 stubby impacts total overkill but oh well!

The 5pc kits are fit Xmas presents.

Absolutely NO comparison to the M12 speaker.(that poor baby needs an upgrade).

It does sound very good with most streaming music YouTube Pandora etc. and using an music/video APP with volume boost/equalizer settings will increase the sound for downloads. I have been very happy with mine and the $79 special was a steal of a deal

How does that new super sawzall compare to the old model? I just upgraded my impacts do I really have to upgrade the sawzall too!? I'm already really impressed with the old model. I've never had it bog down on anything.

I don't need the inflator... I don't need the inflator... really... I don't need the inflator.

Checking the price at Toolnut... I'm screwed.

There's needs - and there's wants.

I had an cigarette lighter inflator from when I first started driving. It had a leak at the cylinder head, which I found I could "fix" with super glue. But the heat cycling would cause the glue to come off after a few uses. Then the rubber where it clamps to the valve stem started wearing out. So I tossed it and bought 2 new ones a couple of years ago, one for each car.

The one in my wife's car hadn't even been used when I bought the Milwaukee cordless one. Now I doubt it will ever be used. The cordless is just so much better.

Personally I have no first hand experience with it but looking over the specs I like it and I tell ya I'd want it, and I had enough work for it I would get one hands down :D

The -21 kit at CPO along with a "free" 12.0 offer is pretty good deal when you break it all down I think. Stack a discount offer and oh man you be golden!

For as much as I NEED to use a full size recip saw, the brushed 2621 will cover me :lol_hitti

Well I just received my 2114-21 USB Rechargeable ROVER Pivoting Flood Light from Cyber Monday purchased thru ACME Tool and delivered by that cute Fed Ex gal. ;)

So let me say...THIS LITTLE MOFO IS AWESOME!

Unbelievably bright for its small size and broadcasts over a pretty wide area. The Hi setting 550 lumens is brighter than Mode 2 on the M12 Rover and the Medium setting of the 2114 @ 250 lumen is just about equal to the Mode 1 setting output of the M12 spec'd @ 200l in a side by side comparison just now. Super lightweight too, the carabineer clip is great to hang on a tool bag or even a belt loop and the magnet well F**K let me say that this little puppy ain't going to be going ANYWHERE! Sticks wicked good! :D

I'm telling ya I was quite hesitant on this mostly because of the price, but I decide to try it using the 18% off offered on Cyber Monday :wtf:

Glad I did

Came partially charged, was showing Yellow Light (up to 50% max charge) and within 30 min plugged in went from solid Red indicator (less than 80%) to the flashing Green (80-99% charged).

Ha and by the time I wrote this hit solid Green :lol_hitti

So within an hour's time.

Happy with purchase and can highly recommend. :pimpflash

I think I am committed now to also get the 2112 offer with the two batteries and holder just to have a ready spare for continuous usage.

I have to say it's even smaller than I expected, smaller than the stubby hex impact.

If I didn't have the 3/8 stubby for my brakes the last (err few) days, I would have been hand wrenching on some caliper bolts. It fit into spots I don't think anything else would (on one bolt, I had to re-screw in to get the wrench out) They were for sure rusted real well, as it took longer than a few impacts to get them off. I was almost to the point that I thought penetrating oil would be needed, but eventually them all came off with the M12 wrench.

I could definitely see torque was lost when using a swivel adapter on this endeavor. I thought I'd try an adapter to avoid turning the front wheels for better access. The 17mm caliper bolt would not loosen with the bolt with the swivel adapter. I turned the wheel, put on a deep socket, and that clearly did the trick.

Haha read over on Milwaukee Tool Nation just now about the "upgrade package" for using 12AH battery on the 2361 Rover flood light.

Yup just take the handle off and plug the 2 screw holes! :wtf:

Your slacking Milwaukee :lol_hitti
