Mechanics everywhere just had multiple organism over those new fuel ratchets.
I am so glad that I swapped to snap on, those look awful.
And that torque wrench looks like some sort of futuristic electric guitar that Bill and Ted would play.
I am interested in the 4 in 1 drill driver, the router, and the 90 degree die grinder. The new circular saw looks nice too, at least it has the blade on the correct side of the saw for a change.
That cutoff saw looks like it could be fun as well.
What exactly makes the ratchets "look awful"? They are some of my favorite tools and always work with zero issues, thee most used cordless ratchets made I'm sure

I am trying to find this router online and can't. Could you please post the link to it? This would be a really nice toy to buy myself for my birthday!![]()

Are there any physical differences between the M12 Fuel stubby impact in 1/2" drive versus 3/8" drive, other than the anvil? Or they're the same exact tool and dimensions otherwise?
Ideally I'd prefer it in 3/8" drive, but TSC locally has a good deal on the 1/2" so I might have to 'settle'.
Thanks for the quick answer!
As far as the 3/8 M12 ratchets, I know the gen 1 has 35 ft-lbs and the Fuel has 55 ft-lbs. How different are they in actual everyday use? The gen 1 is less than half the price locally of the Fuel, but I also don't want to get something significantly less useful just to save some money.
People seem to like having both ratchets. The gen 1 for speed and tight spots, and the fuel for higher torque when space isn’t an issue. The head on the fuel models is a lot bigger unfortunately.
What do I want from NPS19?
Reasonable expectations & timelines, seems release estimates are getting worse with delays. Wheres my damn packout flat dolly promised at NPS18!!!
2 battery mower, M12 Surge, Fuel multi tools, USB battery tools.
No more lights, vacuums, or impacts!!!!
Man x2 on the lead times. I'm tired of this announce-it-in-June, then some of the stuff you might be able to get in October and the rest by next March.... probably, eh maybe
Seems to me they'd sell the best if it was available THE SECOND they announced it. I don't think "the wait" increases demand, it only causes demand to fade as people spend their $ elsewhere, forget, or find other solutions because they can't wait
I'd have a framing nailer here tomorrow at full retail if I could just give them my $

The M12 surge looks like a winner, but I don’t know that I need both an M12 and my current M18.
Probably not, the M18 is pretty small already. The only real gain is not having a battery stick out on the bottom. It’s a pretty big deal for those of us that are primarily on the M12 platform. And could make sense for those on both platforms if they don’t already have the M18 since they won’t be giving up any power.
I'm surprised the M12 Surge is slightly bigger than the 2553 Fuel Gen2 hex impact. I guess its as small as they can make it.
Having the same power as the M18 isn't surprising as the M18 while impressive performance, isn't that powerful in terms of ft/lbs.
I am still shocked we are getting an M12 Surge, us M18 Surge fans demanding it are definitely 10000% the reason, no way they would make it without all of us screaming for it.
Guess I HAVE to buy one now LOL, despite having 2 M18 Surges and no space in the M12 Kobalt wall tool box in my TV room.
Ordered the M12 Rocket finally. Maxtool has it with the free 6.0 and stacks with the "DAD" code for $20 off, free ship and no tax.
That will bring me up to 27 different Milwaukee lights.
Thank god there are no new lights from NPS19 that I have to buy....
They said it was the same size and weight as the regular gen 2 fuel impact during one of the demo videos I saw.

The pic I saw it looked like it was 1/8-1/4" longer. Pretty much the same size, but I would of expected smaller.
I ordered this a few hours ago. But where in the heck do you input the DAD code? I went through the checkout process like 8 times and could not figure it out. Finally, hit "complete order" and shrugged...figuring maybe the free battery precluded the code...
Why would you expect smaller? It still needs the same or similar impact mechanisms, with whatever the hydraulics adds to it.
packout dolly supports 250lbs for those interested
Yeah their site is messed up, I called them to do the order. I would call them and sure they will credit the $20 back to you.
I just called. Dude couldn't quite grasp the issue is with the website. Anyway, his "manager" is going to call me back when he "gets back"...LOL
I don’t doubt that they’ll work, but they are ugly looking. The weird angular crimps into the round extension and then the boxy ratchet head just don’t flow well. It’s like no one gave any thought at all to what it looks like.
Who cares what they look like
attention to detail at that level bodes well for the attention to detail in more critical areas.
