Hmm, now Milwaukee just needs to get rid of the "Hole Dozer" hole saws and just return to the plain ol' regular boring hole saws they had before which were much better. I hate it when manufacturers "improve" something that didn't need improvement.

Pretty much all bits and accessories made by power tool manufacturers ****, you're better off sticking with dedicated bit manufacturers which **** on those mentioned.

I disagree.

Bosch multi-tool blades are top shelf, wouldn't buy anything else at any price. Their 1/4" bits are good as well, they sell different bit hardnesses...try them all to see what you like, the hardest one seems like it's almost too hard.

Their regular drill bits are so-so, but their masonry bits are pretty good.

Their flap discs are also really good.

A lot of their stuff is made in Germany and of top quality. They're a far cry from all the **** made in China that Milwaukee and DeWalt import.

Sorry, I misunderstood you. I just bought the portaband two weeks ago. It was normally $299, but the tool department manager at HD, honored my 12% coupon from Rural King. The discount basically paid for the tax and the pair of blades I bought. I'm anxious to get the SWAG table in, but I think I'm going to get the sides powder-coated red, and the table surface black.

Why'd you buy the table before the saw?
I didnt. I bought the saw and table same day. Knew what I wanted. Found the best price on ebay for the saw and ordered the table from swag. I was asking best place to buy other milwaukee tools. Specifically the cordless.

Fein blades are superior. Only thing bosch I can endorse are jigsaw blades but they're all made in someone else's factory in switzerland.

Apex and vega bits destroy bosch bits. Shockwave, dewalt, makita gold, all junk comparatively speaking.

Makita and Milwaukee (japan and germany) spline and sds bits (and core bits) are actually quite good so this is an exception to my rule.

Grinding wheels, flap discs, diamond blades, diamond cups, I only touch Pearl.

Saw blades, again the power tool brands all junk along with diablo.

I used to only buy Fein blades for the multi tool (& would get them sharpened up to 3 times)

You really need to try the Bosch carbide blades, makes a little bigger kerf than the Fein but lasts WAY longer.

Another question:

I bought the M12 fuel circular saw and in the manual it says there is a hole/slot in the base plate for a ripping fence. I looked but could not tell if Milwaukee makes a ripping fence accessory for the saw? I found a couple ripping fence accessories on the Milwaukee website but they seem to be listed as fitting the M18 circular saws at least if you go by the text saying "fits model XXXXX, YYYYY, ZZZZZ" in the descriptions. Perhaps they also fit the M12 saw? But I could not confirm. Anyone know for sure?

I would like to get a ripping fence for the saw just to help make better cuts without always having to clamp up a jig/adhoc track saw style setup.

I went to the SWAG website and they show the 4.0 table is $129, and it's on back-order there, but their eBay store shows them in stock. So I ordered it from their eBay store for $137. Costs a little more if you want it black and zinc, but I'm going to just paint it red anyways. So I ordered it bare, and it should be here by next Friday. I ordered one of their plasma-cutter, circle cutters last week, and it seems to be a quality piece.
Got it in yesterday's mail. Sometime this weekend, I'll open it up and check it out. I might drop it off at the powder-coater. Pics to follow.

I just can't get behind the paddle switches on the new Fuel grinders. I'm generally an advocate of a dead-man switch but the new paddles are poorly positioned, poorly designed and awkward to use.

Also, despite claims of corded performance the Fuel grinders really aren't THAT powerful which is a good thing for one-hand use w a slide switch. They're far less likely to get away from you or kick back violently and the battery actually helps balance over a corded grinder. IOW, this is a situation where a dead-man switch is not nearly as critical (IMO of course).

I'll be selling my 2780 and just replaced it w two slide switch 2781's!

The 2668 is a flop IMO. It's been able to loosen very little of what I've challenged it with. If I had it to do over I'd skip it, or maybe go 2667 but then you just have one huge-*** RAID. The M12 2467 should be out anytime, which makes a lot more sense.

I won't be needing it for anything heavy duty, so I think it'll work for my needs.

For example, I have to remove my splitter on my Corvette to load it on a trailer. There's about 5 inches of clearance. It's to much effort to jack it up for more room and it's annoying laying on my back to use a regular ratchet to remove like 12 fasteners. I can just kneel and slip this on the screw and hit the button and be done with it. Same thing with coil packs and valve covers, this will clear the engine bay no problem.

Is there a boot for it or will the one for the 2654 fit?

I might sell my 2654 and get one of the new ones. Guess I should compare the specs first

Is it any lighter?

Regardless.. probably won't be worth an upgrade for me then. I got the 2654 on some weird combo of deals from Home Depot so I paid very little for it anyways, and it's never not been powerful enough.

They don't have a boot for it yet. The 2654-20 boot won't fit it because the 2754-20 is shorter.

I understand. To each his own. I almost forgot, the new 2754-20 also comes with an improved anvil design. New design on the right, it has more surface area.

Picked up this M12 Fuel Hammer Drill, 4.0 battery, and charger at HD today for $96.

It was apparently a display model, but the only wear I can see on it is where they had the charger zip-tied to the grip.

I'm not gonna lie. If they made a strong enough right angle die grinder i'd probably only pick up air to inflate tires.
