Speaking of Dewalt and Milwaukee. Hold my beer.

Was able to figure out how to mount the Dewalt bench grinder wire wheel to the Milwaukee grinder. Knocked out the plate with the Trusty Cook stubby. Thing gobbles up paint like no other. Spool up is slightly scary with more startup inertia than a Skillsaw.

It's like putting Michelin tires on a Ford.

ONE KEY

Anybody actually using this ? I have the app installed on my phone. Probably when I got my 1st One Key tool. Have never opened up the app ever since then.

New tool ordered. One key on it. I might open the app to see what it will do, which prompted this post - aka, force logic tool. Probably will show how many cycles used is the main thing I see 1K reporting

Not to compares apples to apples, but when you spend $$$ on a tool (M18 force logic propress ) - wish it had LIGHTS like the competitor Ridgid has. I knew there was no lights on this tool but I'm ---vested--- in the battery system, so M18 red I stay.

But when I'm watching videos of the --competitor---, I do likes those lights shining on the -work- being applied

While looking for a PN, on the site, M18, speciality tools is what I thought it would be under
looks like they're coming out with a M18 Vacumn Pump

What are the best M18 batteries right now? Time for new batteries for drills, small impacts, and small lights that came with a mix of 3.0XC and 5.0XC. Also looking at M12 batterries for screwdrivers. Tools still work well but batteries are 4 or 5 years old and worn out.

Looking at:

Did a search, don't see this set listed (48-22-9218). Does anyone have experience with the Milwaukee hook sets? Are they better than Craftsman, Husky, HF, etc.?

MikeScreenshot_20230322-121924_Chrome.jpg

Also, is anyone aware of current discounts on Milwaukee tools?

Thanks.

the deals kind of **** right now IMHO. might wait for q2 deals to roll out.

5.0s seem to be the most robust. 6.0s are holding up well so far. Have a 12.0 and plenty of 9.0s out of balance.

For longevity, I like my 6.0s more than 5.0s, but I'm not a heavy user. I mainly use an inflator and a Rover light. I hate the bulkiness of those batteries, and prefer a 3.0 for quick jobs.

I'm on M18 (only). Hope this helps.

Milwaukee definitely innovating somewhat with their Air-Tip line up. Almost walked out of HD with their 90 degree pivoting nozzle and then somehow talked myself out of it. The only way to get this stuff on sale is to buy it with a package with one of their vacs it seems.

Nope - Full on 2 stage, dual/triple M18 12.0's required, dog eating snow blower is what I'm looking for. Toro and Ego have them. I need a mower as well, so want to choose wisely.
We waited years for that mower and the track saw, hopefully we are surprised with a snow blower and a tiller would be nice too.

I don't want to think about how much $$$$ I'd have into batteries to support a mower and/or snowblower here...

A higher up Milwaukee employee did confirm a snowblower was in the works with a rentative release date of fall 2023. No idea if it will be a single stage or dual stage.

We moved into a new construction home and bought the Milwaukee mower once the grass grew in because I already had a boatload of batteries and didn't want to deal with gas. It snowballed into the trimmer, brush cutter, edger, blower, hedge trimmer, etc.

In hindsight I would have bought the Ego mower and then used the batteries in a snowblower and their OPE. I really hate our gas snowblower and can't justify the cost of another battery platform for just the snowblower.

I used my father in law’s Honda gas single stage a few times this winter. It definitely is a lot weaker than my two stage Honda. You can bog it down really easily (backfires or stalls).

Once you figure out what it’s capable of… you stop trying to get it to do what you want it to do… and you just let it do it’s thing.

If they have any chance of a M18 that can do a driveway… I am definitely interested in at least checking it out.

I still have not bought into the M18 mower. I can get a few more years out of our gas Honda. I have the M18 weed whacker/edger and the blower. They are terrific.

I want to stick with the least amount of battery styles. The DeWalt drywall sander is making me consider buying into another battery system, though.

Glad to be wrong here. Anything to not deal with small gas engines and clogged carbs. Life is too short.

Managed to overcook a m18 6.0 yesterday bucking a 16 inch tree in the neighbor's yard. Tried taking a picture, but a few seconds later the battery temperature must have fallen enough to get back in action and proceeded with my abuse. Battery pack was not warm to touch either. Wonder if the self preservation mechanism is a little lower for these temperature wise.

The 5.0s and 9.0s would need to take 5-10 min break after overheating.

I've been using Sea Foam in my logsplitter (Predator repower), run the carb dry, no problems. Since 2019.

I've been using Star Tron enzyme treatment in my Honda snowblower, run the carb dry, also no problems. Since 2013.

I have had plenty of carb problems in other OPE engines, so I try to use Sea Foam and run carbs dry when possible. Harder to do with small 2-stroke stuff unless you dump the tanks after each use.

We can't buy ethanol-free gas here, other than canned or racing fuel, if you can find it (and are willing to pay $10-12 or more per gallon).

But, I'm in no rush to go full-battery mode. Yet. The cost to refuel is no joke, that's for sure.

Stabil and running the carb dry still dealing with crustiness in the carbs. Next on the list is dropping the bowls. Not sure what they are putting in the fuels here in CA.
