That's crazy. We have some stations here that pump it, albeit at the price of premium.
Well my impact driver finally met its match on rusty suspension and exhaust bolts.
I don't think I'll be having a problem anymore though.
One Key is pretty cool, you can set the impact speed, trigger ramp up, light timeout and brightness for each mode, and there's two optional settings per mode:
Bolt Removal Speed - which slows down the speed in reverse after it breaks free. You can choose the speed.
Precision Mode - limits torque so you can dial it in for lugnuts or whatever task you're doing. There's 20 different settings but they don't list an actual ft lbs measurement so it'll take some fiddling and checking with a torque wrench to get it dialed for each application.
I don't think I'll be having a problem anymore though.

I love the under hood light as well. They light an engine bay up really well. I use it for non automotive all the time. It worked great leaned against the wall when I needed to repair my furnace.

Waiting on the response from Milwaukee so I don’t want to post the whole situation yet but guys please do not leave batteries in your tools. Especially something that came out recently in the m18 line.

I did have issues with a generator, and had to replace the carb. My fault for letting it sit too long.

Used my M12 Fuel die grinder today and the shaft of the working bit got stuck in the collet. Got the collet as loose as it will go but cannot pull out the bit. Any great ideas? Thanks.
Push the bit deeper into the collet (might take a tap with a block of wood or something) to release the tapers.
In case you weren't aware, the collets in these release like ER collets & not like the collets comonly used in air die grinders.
Loosen the collet nut with the wrenches, bit shank will still be stuck in the collet. Unscrew the collet nut further by hand until it gets tight again. Then use the wrenches again to loosen, this time the collet will release the bit.
Collet is held in the collet nut & gets released by the collet nut. Keep this in mind if you ever swap out the collet, the collet has to be snapped into the collet nut first before screwing it onto the spindle.
Collet what you will but this sounds annoying.
It's called a self-extracting collet. It prevents the tool/collet/bit from getting their tapers stuck. You just keep unscrewing the collet nut and it pulls the collet from the tool. The only time the bit gets stuck in this kind of collet is when the small nose taper of the collet gets stuck in the collet nut or when the tool adheres itself to the inner walls of the collet. Both situations are remedied by tapping the tool back into the collet.
Yeah it kinda is. I don't mind it with my ER chucks for the mill/drill & lathe but for the M12 die grinders it does get annoying for me sometimes. The RA die grinder not so much cause I usually just leave a roloc holder in it. Annoys me more on the straight die grinder.

I have boots on my Milwaukee M18 mid torque impact, and on M12 3/8" ratchet. I like how they keep the tools protected, and cleaner. If you have a hard case for your impact, it will not fit with a boot on.

What are the best M18 batteries right now? Time for new batteries for drills, small impacts, and small lights that came with a mix of 3.0XC and 5.0XC. Also looking at M12 batterries for screwdrivers. Tools still work well but batteries are 4 or 5 years old and worn out.

The M18 high output 6.0 seems to be the best price/performance wise at the moment. It's a noticeable step up on Fuel impacts and drills.
The M12 high output 5.0 does the same for M12 impacts and drivers.

I've never run (my own) air tools without one if SnapOn had one available. They kept the aluminum housings from getting beat to snot, and on the air ratchet in particular, the boot was the actual reason the SnapOn kept working for months at a time between being disassembled and cleaned/relubed.
The Milwaukee boots have all fit very well and are well worth the protection if you are working on vehicles or equipment. I feel like they are mandatory on the M12 ratchets and optional for the other impacts.
The first time you are in a hurry and the mid-torque slips out of your greasy hand and bounces 3 feet off the concrete driveway you'll wish you had paid for the rubber boot.

I'm sure the M18 Fuel Hatchet 8" Pruning Saw has been covered before, but used mine this past weekend and love it. For general suburban around the house use, it beats using any corded saw for general light pruning (up to 6" limbs) duty. Bought it on the current $40 off deal and think it's well worth it......

Here hoping the M12 sprayer is not a DUD. The M18 backpack isn't for me yet*although I know it has issues*. For me, my only gripe about the M18 is that the last gallon is more more like the last 1/2-3/4 gallon it won't spray.

Milwaukee tool horde update...
M18 Compressor has the infamous click and no start syndrome, not sure if its a pressure switch issue. It was getting flaky before requiring an off and on. Now its just dead. Might need to go in for warranty.
m12 stick transfer pump - have been putting it to good use. Much quieter than the m18 with a decent flow rate. Have to try figuring out how to get the head off. It doesn't fit into my rain barrels and strainer prevents it from picking up larger turtle turds when I use it pump water through the filter.
M18 4 battery power supply - use it a lot to power laptops and intermittent power tools around the yard. Its achilles heal is that it really requires 4 batteries of equal capacity and condition. One of my 6.0s is slightly weaker than the rest so am getting 3/4 discharge from 3 out of the 4 batteries. I can swap a 3.0 in temporarily to use up the rest of the batteries, but it is moderately annoying.
M18 1 battery power supply - this is my 2nd one as the 1st needed to be warrantied. More portable than the big power supply. Use it mainly to power my laptop. The annoying thing is it uses half the battery before it stops charging my laptop. Guessing the battery voltage drops until it can't charge. Happens on both 6.0s and 12.0s.

The M12 Sprayer is a WIN. To the last drop, unlike the M18. Okay, I did stop when the wand looked like it was *almost out*. I did not wait till it was bone dry pushing out air. However, when I removed the cap to wash out the tank, there was just a smidge left. A smidge....
Maybe there will be a backpack Version 2....

I ended up getting the Yard Mastery backpack sprayer, it’s been awesome even with the no-name battery pack. One thing I wish it had is the ability to switch tanks for different sprays. If there is an actual non-POS v2 M18 sprayer, I’m all over it.

I actually don't mind not carrying 40+ lbs on my back after using the M12. I have 4 tanks. Fungicide, Insecticide, Herbacide. All 2 gallons.
The last one is a 1G gallon tank that is dedicated for RoundUp.
I didn't do this for when I had the M18, as for my main use case, the M18 was the pre-emergent backpack sprayer mainly. I don't need to be spraying 5G of anything else....
I did not have tank leak issues although I know it is a main flaw of the M18 and then some....
The M12 for now, is just perfect. And the tanks are -smaller- than the dedicated 2G pump sprayers I have, mainly I suppose since it doesn't need that extra volume for air to be pressurize....so footprint wise, it's less space than with the dedicated four 2G hand sprayers I had for spraying setup. I'll still keep a sprayer or 2 just in case the pump on M12 fails one day

Anyone have recs on the best modern lights from Milwaukee on either M18 or M12? I've got a m18 stick light and a little puck braun light. Looking for something I can light up a crawl space or attic or shed.
I was looking into the m18 latern, but I see its 8 years old at this point. Similarly the m12 rover looked cool, but not sure if its large enough for that.
There are a lot of options...
If theres any non-m18/m12 options that people like more I'm open to that too.
