I was a big Milwaukee fan up until they were bought out by the Chinese back in the late 90's . I still love my USA made Tilt Loc 6394 circular saw and the Milwaukee corded jigsaw and of course I have a super Sawzall . I'm bummed I never picked up a Body grip router back in the 90's . I've never cared for any of the newer stuff after they were bought out but a lot of people seem to like them.

Picked this sawzall up for a song…lightly used…

That's a great Sawzall , only thing that I was slightly bummed about is why doesn't the quick loc cord on the Sawzall snap into place with a loud click like the quick loc cord on my 6394 circular saw . Milwaukee really didn't have an explanation for that but despite that it still works fine .

Picked up the Packout M18 fan this past Friday really great output! Finally got two new 6.0 HO batteries as my 12 year old M18 batteries are going down.. I'll replace the cells.

I picked up the second gen M12 3/8. It's a pleasure to use. It's replacing a 2754-20 M18 3/8.

Is that the one with the double tap trigger to switch to reverse?

You can see the direction switch in the picture. I think the trigger tapping is for speed/power settings. Still annoying but a lot better than for the direction.

Oh that's right, its tap to change power, not rotation. Still interested in a real world report on how it works in the field.

Me too. I have the gen 1 and it's removed everything I've tried with it, including 1-ton truck lug nuts. But double the torque is still real tempting.

Oh that's right, its tap to change power, not rotation. Still interested in a real world report on how it works in the field.

I thought the trigger tap to switch modes would be annoying but it isn't. It's not quite as powerful as my m18 mid torque but it gets lots more done than the 1st gen.

I have the subcompact 3/8 as well (also tap for mode) and it's become my most reached for impact.

Have been eyeing this 0892-20. Seems to get good reviews. Anyone with experience?

My v1 original M18 vac is too loud, my shop vacs are too big, and I am at constant war with spider webs and family members that treat cars like garbage dumps.

If you're a cheap sob, find some free or cheap dysons...

I got a couple hand helds that had batteries that were weak/bad, slapped a m18 battery adapter on them and use those.

Have a couple of dysons, but reserve them mainly for indoor use. Copilot is telling me my Dyson outsize probably has more power, but quite frankly the dysons just don't work for garage/outdoor type usage. They all seem to have a 90 degree kink into the dust bin that tends to jam up with leaves and small stick like objects. Its mildly annoying for household use, but way too annoying for general garage usage. The motorized heads though are more ideal for automobile carpeting.

Ended up with 2 Amazon knock off batteries for 28$ CDN to run my 3/8th ratchet.

now eyeballing the Hackzall and first aid kits….

I do have their underhood light.

The smaller lights I have beyond that their Flood Lights and M12:M18 Rover Tripods

I need to add for both engine bay if not working on the interior under the dash and such

I've been using my Braun HF stick light mainly as it's small enough for the application.
-most likely - partially why I haven't gotten any of the Red's m12 battery adds to the bulk

Been putting boots on my Milwaukee stuff.
Some Milwaukee branded ones and some generic ones off Amazon.

The ones that go over the heads of the ratchets should come in Wednesday from Amazon

I haven't found one that I love. I still use my streamlight and one of the single battery hand held Milwaukee lights but neither is close to perfect.

i have had the 0892-20 since it came out. I love it. I’ve had about all Milwaukee vacs and this is definitely the best for me. It’s really good for general garage and car interiors. Also works good with the air-rip attachments.

I have a few of the old-school M18 Rover lights. I love that they have multiple mounting options (clamp, magnet, etc.). They're discontinued, but you can still find them.

Having said that, they're big and bulky, and not ideal for areas that are especially tight.

I have a ton of Milwaukee lights and as far as they go this is probably my favorite. I can throw it in my tool bag and also charge it in the console of my truck.



As far as favorites if you want to go outside Milwaukee this Klein and this Icon are my overall favorites.

x2 for the icon! I have both of their magnetic wand lights and they are life savers.

This M12 Rover is nice. It has a strong magnet and keyhole slot on the back but no other means of hanging. At about $90 bare tool, probably not the low cost option.

I keep leaving that light at my parents house lol. I like it but I don't love it. Plenty bright for under dash work though.
