Dust buster is decent, sounds just like any ole dust buster motor-wise and has about just as much power (not great, but adequate). I just went through my house and picked up all the dog hair, real challenge, I know. Battery life is pretty bad, I walked around for no more than 5 minutes and it went from 3 bars to 1 on a compact 2.0, in which time I was able to completely fill the vac. Maybe I caught it on the very last legs of what's considered 3 bars though. Good thing I have 5 M12 batteries (all compact though).
For $59, I'm not displeased. If it were $49, I'd say its decent. For $39, it'd be a bargain. Especially since it doesn't come with a battery, when all other non-tool brand dustbusters do.
I can see this thing being a pretty big battery killer, draining a battery in such a short period of time is really hard on battery longevity. Luckily I can spread the wear across 5 batteries.
