Just ordered this set that I saw someone mention earlier for $170:
Milwaukee 2691-22

I have zero cordless tools at the moment, and figured I could always upgrade the batteries later. My primary use will be personal home and auto.

EDIT
Changed my mind as I went to the store to pick it up and exchanged it for the M12 Fuel combo. Figured that would be a much better base for me and if tougher projects pop up later down the road, I could always add some more tools to the collection.

Good decision the M12 fuel stuff is addictive. I hardly reach for my M18 tools anymore the M12 does almost everything I need. The main M18 I still use is the impact wrench. I have the M18 Fuel and that thing is a beast. I haven't even turned on my compressor since I went with Milwaukee Fuel lineup. I haven't run into anything the Milwaukee couldn't handle, I may end up selling my air stuff.

I sold my snap on cordless impact wrenches and haven't touched an air tool since I got the snap on stuff.. so going on several years now. The Milwaukee stuff blows Snap On out of the water, I don't care what anyone says. My snap on stuff got to the point where it struggled on stuff my smaller M18 impact wrench would break off if it wouldn't come loose, lol

I agree, no reason to even deal with cords anymore. Cordless tools have came a long long way for sure thanks to lithium batteries and brushless motors

My store is bringing in a **** ton of 2691-22 kits. These are brushed M18 drill and impact driver combos. Honestly I'd think my store sells this many Milwaukee drill/impact combos in a year, so I'm guessing there's an upcoming promo. The pic doesn't do it justice, they're 2-deep on that cart and many more on the bottom than are visible. I often notice these stocking carts and I've never seen them bring in so many of 1 item except holidays.

Interestingly, this kit (2691) used to include the 2601 drill and 2650 impact driver. Now the same kit part # has the updated 2606 and 2656. I got the older versions in a recon kit for $140 and really like them.

And there they are/were for Memorial Day weekend....

I have a ton of other Milwaukee stuff, here are some of the less common pieces

What do you think of that M-Spector. Been looking for a good review. Having a hard time talking myself into the $120 for something I'll use twice every year.

Borrowed a snap on wireless unit and was unimpressed with the picture quality and I now see why the screen rotates on the Milwaukee unit.

I just picked up the Milwaukee 28-piece Ice Hardened Hole Saw Kit (P/N 49-22-4185) from my local hardware store during a Milwaukee demo day. What was really nice is that when you buy the hole saw kit you get a free Milwaukee M18 Fuel hammer drill bare tool.

I that it was a pretty good deal for $250.

I have only used it two times, I was happy with it and have no complaints but, it is the only one I have ever tried so I have nothing to compare it to.

Thanks for this!!! I just got a Snap On cordless screwdriver, but i've been wanting an impact driver. This will save me some money.
Hope you like it, I sure do.

That's money you can blow on some other of Milwaukee's crack...

Like the XC 5.0 battery :bounce:
Dude, I have fantasies about those batteries. But I've got 3 well performing 4.0's that I'm gonna try try to wear out, first. If you get one let us know what you think of them, and maybe I'll change my tune.

Well the 4.0 and the 5.0 are the same price(at least on Home Depot's site). The impact in getting on Monday comes with the 2.0 but I at least want a 4.0 but I may just get the 5.0. Not sure yet.

This thread makes me happy.

This is an older pic, nevermind the yellow guy (I have a good handful of them too). I have an arsenal of red handtools as well, my favorites being my Milwaukee tape measure and my Milwaukee staple gun.

I would say my impact driver and sawzall are in constant use. The hammer drill is just on my workbench for looks these days. I really should sell it as I have only used it once.

As much as I like the M18 Fuel lineup, I sold the M18 Fuel hammer drill from the drill/impact combo kit because when its time to "hammer" I use the corded hammer drills

Do you have another m18 non-hammer drill?

No, just M18 Fuel 2673, 2654, 2653. For remodeling jobs, the M12 Fuel drill performs great and the M18/M12 impact drivers drill decent pilot holes when needed

I'm in Canada this week, and the local HD has the Milwaukee miter saw on sale for $549 CAD, and it comes with the portable stand. With the exchange rate, that works out to about $470 USD. Gotta figure out how to get this home....

If the 4.0 and 5.0 are the same price, why wouldn't you get the 5.0??

Zoro too. With a Zoro 20-30% off they're not so bad. Zoro's list is ~$138 while I think HD is $129. Going from memory, I may be wrong.

Went to HD today and bought some Milwaukee impact socket adapters, and a set of Makita Impact Rated Sockets. Made driving long lag screws into thick wood a breeze.

I have, unfortunately, been very dissapointed with a Milwaukee purchase: the Milwaukee Impact Rated Phillips bits. They simply do not work with ANY brand of wood screw, and more often than not strip the screw head out. The Dewalt bits work much better.

picked this up a few weeks ago. The light tester is brand new.

then I picked this up at a garage sale today.

A 6232-21. Brand new, never even been out of the box. Still has the little protector on the plug.

Just saw this on Milwaukee Tools's FB page. I wonder if I should wait a couple weeks to buy the m18 fuel 3/8 impact wrench.
