Got the big bad dog. 3/4" 2764-20 M18 FUEL

I kept finding myself adapting up to 3/4" with my 1/2".

CL Find. $120 (even less after bundle-package)

My new arrival.

I was looking at that set this last weekend. seems to be well made for the price.

I would have probably picked up the bottom, but all they had was the display set left.

Finally got around to a picture. This is most of my stuff. The batteries and chargers are still hooked up in the Vidmar drawer.

According to my cheap scale a 4.0 is 1.574# while a 5.0 is 1.636#. Not much I know. I put each battery on 3x with the same results each time, so I'd say there is a difference, albeit small

Money well spent

What surprised me is that I couldn't find another company that makes a 3/8 square to 1/4 hex other than Milwaukee. But I don't mind since I like my tools to match.

Snap On makes one that a seller in eBay had a bunch of. Haven't seen them there lately though.

If anyone else is looking, or the Milwaukee set breaks, then wihatools.com item #72090 costs $12 and includes three adapters: 1/4, 3/8 and 1/2. Made in Germany and they work great with the 3/8 Fuel Impact.

I've got 2 of the Snap On 3/8 anvil to 1/4" hex. Ordered 2 because I thought a buddy needed one, but he doesn't. I bought the last 2 I saw from that seller. PM me if you want one. $8 shipped

This style is for 1" insert bits. If you are using power bits you need the Milwaukee style. Irwin makes one and I'm positive Wera makes one.

I've not bought any new Milwaukee stuff for a while but I have been using them quite a bit recently so thought I'd give some feedback.

Inkzall markers - I've been happy with mine. They work better than pencil on rougher wood. Mines are supposed to be fine but I'd say they're pretty thick.

Torque Lock pliers - I have no thumbs and limited use of my right hand due to disability so I struggle with vice grips at the best of times. Add a broken shoulder into the mix and things were pretty difficult when it came to fixing the handbrake on my car. Fortunately, I'd bought a pair of the Milwaukee ones with the easy tightening screwdriver hole at the end. They worked really well and gripped harder than I've been able to manage with other makes. They're a very reasonable price too so I'm going to buy the curved jaw ones as well.

Milwaukee 0880 M18VC vacuum - I've been very happy with it. I built a bike shed recently and it worked great when I hooked it up to my circular saw. I'm thinking of buying this so I can use for cleaning up really small nooks and crannies like in computers:

Fuel Impact drivers - I have both the 12v and 18v Fuel ones and have used them a lot in my shed projects. The neighbour's dog hates them! I got less complaints with the 18v one though as it was able to drive a lot of smaller screws in with very little impacting.

^^^the Inkzalls aren't perfect but worlds ahead of Sharpies for shop/metal fabrication. Recommend. Plus they last. Worth the $$

Yep, the hackzall. Great tool. Very handy.

And you know what they say. "If women don't find you handsome, they might as well find you handy."

Is the Red Green show still on TV anywhere? Kind of ironic that name comes up in a thread about Milwaukee tools.

Saw these today... Does it mean I'm sick if I just want to buy some of these, even though I already have two?

Can anyone tell me if the M18 Circular saw (2630-20) stops immediately when you release the trigger, or does it slowly spin down?

stops immediately, good saw, used mine a lot.

only complaint is the dust management is nill.... make that negative nill.. terrible dust management, but it gets the job done quick and simple. and i have the m18 blower to blow all the **** off after i get done cutting.

I have, unfortunately, been very dissapointed with a Milwaukee purchase: the Milwaukee Impact Rated Phillips bits. They simply do not work with ANY brand of wood screw, and more often than not strip the screw head out. The Dewalt bits work much better.

Completely agree! They are garbage. I'll give those Dewalt ones a try next time.

Wow, they must have gone way downhill. I use the 3.5'' ones but I stocked up on them a couple years ago since I loved them so much. I'm only on my second bit in about a year :dunno:

Same here. I bought a couple sets when they first came out and have yet to wipe out a bit.

I bought a new set when Home Depot had their coupon error and have been using them on and off. The new set *might* be a little softer metal, I see shavings every now and then.
