I generally don't like these little wall converters but kudos to Milwaukee for giving it a non-polarized plug so you can plug it in upside down if needed, not requiring moving other things to accommodate it (sorry for fuzzy iphone shot)

Now figure out how to convert it to plug into an empty battery shell and you'll be a god.

Though I'm guessing that wall wart doesn't put out enough amps to do anything useful other than fan you.

can you feather this in for the new guy??

also - if anyone is interested in the m12 screwdriver (2401) which is part of that $99 kit, they are all over ebay for $35 shipped for a brand new bare tool..

i got another tool idea for Milwaukee.. make an m4 "clip on" hard hat fan - to circulate air over the top of your head between the hardhat and the suspension rig.. ** patent pending **

edit - would you belive makita actually makes a big stupid looking version of this.. lol -

I have no clue where my SPL is. If I find it I'll post it for you. But it's noisy as hell.

I'll second that. I'm very happy with mine but it sure is noisy. I never feel the need for hearing protection with my other Milwaukee power tools but I wish for it with the vac sometimes.

Picked up a M12 3/8" ratchet and some bits.

Nice. Ratchet (refurbished) was my first Milwaukee tool. Been in pretty hard use for well over a year now.. probably 18 months, and it's still going. It's starting to slip sometimes if I'm at the limits of how much it can tighten something, but overall it was worth every penny. If I ever break this one I will happily buy another.

Thanks .. I've read a ton of good reviews about it .. I am looking forward to giving it a spin.

Just bought my first this weekend. I got the 1/2" Hammer/Drill/Driver since my Bosch was being used as a drill only, and my older Milwaukee 2.4 screwdriver wasn't strong enough to run the #6 screws into the cabinet doors I'm working on.
It runs circles around my 20 year old Bosch that is a 14.4V
OK, I'm hooked. Now where can I find a deal on the 2453 30 1/4" Fuel impact? (tool only)

Just the basic corded SawzAll here. Only gripe is that the twist collar gets very hot after cutting with the metal cutting blade. Even with decent gloves on, you have to work a little fast. Love the tool, and wouldn't hesitate to buy another Milwaukee product.

Favorite use was stump removal. Blasted away dirt with my pressure washer, and hacked the roots, going down a good 2 feet.

im hoping for one of our vendors at work to come through with a couple more Milwaukee goodies for me.. i kinda asked for a fuel or non fuel m18 sawzall, and the m18 floodlight.

i bought the m18 floodlight for myself just cause i wanted a new toy.. that thing is AMAZING.. too bad they didnt make an optional stand for it.. if anyone hasnt seen the new floodlights Milwaukee is coming out with - i seriously suggest you take a look..

Just sold off all my older dewalt stuff and I am about to drop a mint on M12 stuff. I am just a an around the home builder so i dont think i need the m18 stuff full time but i will be getting the fuel series for that extra punch. any recommendations on first things to pick up?

drill and impact driver first.. then whatever else you want. saw, flashlight, ratchet.. you have plenty of choices.. honestly - i buy anything i can find an excuse for..

Just got into the Milwaukee power tool game today with a couple deals at the local HD. Grabbed the m18 compact drill and the m12 screwdriver/impact driver kit.

I've had a few of the hand tools for a while and I've had no problems with them. I know some have questioned the quality of their hand tools.

My local HD has about six of the $99 kits, reduced to $79...

That's really slick .... I wonder if they built the battery receiver with the 9.0Ah in mind.

I don't think so.

About 1/2 way down my 6Ah/9Ah post (http://toolguyd.com/milwaukee-m18-6ah-9ah-batteries/), there's a picture of the battery compartment of an upcoming tripod light with a huge gap that can accommodate a 9Ah battery.

I just checked my fan, and there's not enough clearance to fit the 9Ah battery and still have the fan sitting on its 4 bumper feet.

I picked up the m12 vacuum since my other cordless vacuum (some cheapy Walmart vac) died. I have to say the thing is pretty nice and I like that I can just swap out batteries and not wait for the 2 hours it takes to charge the old vac.

I purchased this Monday from a new Ebay seller in Indiana. Surprised to see it arrive here already at my home in Northern California today (Thurs). Turns out the seller is actually Home Depot and was shipped from the Home Depot in Perris, Ca. Even came with a return label and shipped in a Milwaukee outer shipping carton! They've been listing "buy it now" for $71 and $4.20 shipping a couple times a week for the past few weeks. I was hesitant to purchase at first because of very few feedbacks (all positive). Was hoping it wasn't another ebay scam like the Miller 211, but glad I took the risk on this one! :thumbup:View attachment 458989

Seller's name is marc-stea

He doesn't have any listed right now, but has been re-listing once or twice each week. All he's sold so far are the M18 vacuums. I just thought it was strange that it came direct to me from Home Depot with sales invoice in my name! Maybe he's like a broker and sells for HD? :dunno:

My brother bought a Keurig machine on eBay that seemed to good to be true. The seller purchased the unit with a stolen credit card from a store and had it shipped to my brother. I don't recall exactly how he figured it out, but ultimately the person's credit card company asked him to return the Keurig unit to the store it was purchased from so the credit card company could be refunded. He didn't, since he legitimately paid for it and there was no refund of any kind in it for him.

This seller has feedback on these vacuums going as far back as April. Seems any credit card scam would have been noticed by now. I'm assuming everything is legit, but still curious!

Not suggesting anything at all, so don't throw stones at me... Just curious, but could a court consider that the same as receiving stolen goods, or would it be different because of the credit card issue? Be interesting to hear a legit response on that.

Not to get too off topic, but since it was purchased through eBay he had no way of knowing until the fallout weeks later. The item price was ~$10-15 cheaper than he could find it anywhere else, so it's not like he got it for $10 or something. I think it's the credit card company that eats the cost (like any other CC fraud) and is the one to go after the seller. If the CC company would have been willing to reimburse him for the item he would have sent it back. Not a legit response, but my thoughts.

Kinda what I suspected too. It would **** to get caught up in some **** like that. I was just wondering if there could be some legal consequences for being a legitimate purchaser, unknowingly involved in that.
