Here's a look at the new LED products (M18 tripod light, M18 floodlight, M12 spotlight):

http://toolguyd.com/milwaukee-m18-led-tripod-worklight-other-m12-m18-led-lighting/

I really, REALLY want to torture test one of those tripod lights.

i am seriously considering filing grieviences with my union, against my company for not providing portable worklights once these are released..

im already trying to make the current m18 floodlight "appear" at work somehow..

especially now that these other lights are coming out soon - it woud be really nice if milwaukee made a power converter the size of the standard m18 4.0 battery pack - that allowed people to plug in a 110a/c extension cord to the "battery pack shell" and then snap THAT into some of these lights so you had an option to plug them into house current.. this would even be great for some of the tools (grinder/circular saw/sawzall) and the current m18 floodlight.

The new adjustable "high performance" floodlight work light has a male 3-prong connection for an AC extension cord.

Milwaukee's whole strategy is to move towards a cordless jobsite where cordless tools meet or exceed the performance of corded tools. Even if they could create such an adapter, I don't think they ever would.

I want the tripod light really badly. Any idea what that bad boy will retail for?

I asked, and I think I was told pricing wasn't finalized yet.

If I had to guess, I would want to say it might be between $179 and $229. $159 seems too little, $250 seems too high for something like this w/o battery and charger. I think $179 would be a reasonable target price, maybe it'll even be less. Again, these are just guesses.

Keep in mind that the M18 floodlight worklight is $99. Given the complexity of the tripod light's lamp head and the construction of its base, I don't think it's going to sell below $150 or $160 pricing, hence the guess of a $179 pricing floor.

We won't have very long to wait and see. The light is expected to ship in September, which means press materials (and pricing on request) should be available this month (August).

The only thing that Ive found that that gun wouldn't take out were brake caliper mounting bolts on a somewhat rusty Tacoma. I have the boot too and it sure helps to save the tool.

I don't want to even know how corroded those bolts were if 1,100 ft lbs wasn't enough to remove them. The only bolt mine has struggled with was the crank bolt on my Honda Civic, but even that bolt gave in after hammering on it for a bit. Were you using a bunch of extensions?

Me too!! That thing looks awesome. The flood light where you can adjust where the LED's are pointed looks awesome too. I have the current one and it's nice, but it either points where you want it or it doesn't.. no adjustability

the place i posted is cheaper ,(i think), but yours is where i got my first one from, just off ebay instead of their store - $17 shipped off ebay for an XL http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&alt=web&id=300511338467

but the place i posted has many more versions of shirts for sale.. they have Dewalt stuff too -
i almost bought the hi-visibility one too, cause then they cant break my balls at work for not wearing a safety vest, but i cant see myself walking around in a skittle green shirt.

the plumbers one has some kinda de-burring tool for small pvc pipe, and notches in the side to ream out up to 6" pipe.. ill assume its just not selling as well. the electricians one looks nicer too, but for $6 ill take the plumbers.. they have been on clearance for a long time now - so most are gone, but i just happen to find one behind all the others..

I wonder why, Milwaukee, apparently doesn't make an 18 volt String Trimmer/Edger???

If they did...

I'd buy one...

----------------------------------------

It's new but not replacing last year's model. It's got a more waterproof ripstop outer shell. And a hood I think. Not interchangeable, just different.

i have last years, and the year before.. the 2 year old model was solid black, and last year's, even though its a big upgrade, they made grey and black.. it just doesnt look as nice.. so now i basically have no choice but to get the ripstop IF its not insane with the price.. at least its a hoodie and a jacket too. looks nice so far from what you can see in the pics, but the prices just get crazy with these things..

$249 with no battery. They're all on the Milwaukee site, then you can click find online and pick a dealer to see price.

Straight from the press release in my inbox:

"With the versatility to provide warmth during fall, winter and spring months, the popular gray M12™ Heated Hoodie will transition to a darker charcoal color for 2015."

Thanks!

im not seeing the new one listed anywhere.. where did you did up that price?

Weird, under the where to buy, the link disappeared. I found it again by searching for the model number at Home Depot: http://www.homedepot.com/p/Milwauke...1-Ripstop-Jacket-Jacket-Only-2170-L/206122888

My jacket stopped working last year (3 years old) and it was too late in the season to find another one. The 3-in-1 looks nice, but bummed that the hoodie is permanent. I'll get another black jacket. Even though it's the same as last year it's still an upgrade from what I had (charger, heated pockets, slightly different design).

i dont know if im glad you posted this or not.. i might have to look at my gift card stash now.. i have last years model, the black/grey one.. the thing is REALLY nice.. i wore it almost every single day to work, and i work outside.. water repellent, windproof.. people would be all layered up, and i would be outside in a long sleeve tshirt, and a carhartt hat wearing that jacket when the windchill was below zero.

i actually searched the HD in store computer to see if that jacket came up, and it didnt.. dammit.. i hate when you guys do this to me.

My 1/4" drive 18v impact has stopped working.
Its well past the 5 year warranty. Haven't contacted the local dealer that does warranty repairs to see if I'm better off just buying a new one or is the cost of a motor replacement cheaper ?
Anyone had experience on thhis issue ?

That'll be nice. The gray is too light and shows stains too easily.

Unrelated, the M12 RAID 2467 finally shows in one place online: HD's site. But right now says must be picked up in store only and my store doesn't carry. I know it'll become more widely available soon.

What model? If you're sure it's the motor, have you priced at ereplacementparts? It's not hard to find a brushed kit at $99 or less during the holidays, eg HD did the 2656 for $89 during Xmas, but IIRC it was the -21 kit w only one compact battery.

I recently sold off my 2601 M18 drill to a friend who needed to get started in a cordless platform. I've been eyeing the brushless 2701 but thought $199 for the kit was a bit much and I knew there'd be a promo eventually. I was strolling through my local HD and saw the 2701 with a free 2.0 battery and almost pulled the trigger.

Instead I got online and saw the same promo with the M18 lantern for $199. I'd rather have the lantern than another compact battery, so I ordered that way today. You can find the promo(s) by searching 2701-22 at homedepot.com. I have the M12 lantern but the M18 has noticeably taller tubes for (presumably) more light.

Just got a Hackzall from Amazon for $65, tool only. Saw this offer once weeks back, but when I went back to pull the trigger, it was no where to be found. Popped up this morning on a side ad on a website I was on. Didn't hesitate this time.

Also I bought two M12 lanterns today and one M12 LED worklight "flashlight" for a local non-profit who saw mine and wanted their own. At Home Depot, on the first lantern I used a HF 20% coupon, the second lantern I used an Ace $10 off $50 coupon from Ace's loyalty program which was mailed to me, and on the "flashlight" I used a $5 off $30 True Value coupon that comes in local coupon mailers.

I also wanted a 2-pack of the M12 XC 3.0 batteries, but they were $79 online and $99 in-store (verified with Price Check at SCO), so I ordered online and saved county and city sales tax too.

This IS the Milwaukee addiction thread, so that's all my Milwaukee activity for the day :D I do not ask foregiveness Father, for I am happy to be an addict.
