^^^nothing that extreme but I'm not surprised. None of my Milwaukee chucks are great, and sometimes they are difficult to loosen. It's too bad Milwaukee can't figure out the chuck thing.

I really like the chuck on the old Lok Tor hammer drills. I might pick one up from ebay.

FYI, not sure if this has been posted BUT CPO Milwaukee has $30 off on select M18 tools which in itself is no earth shattering deal but, they have the 2nd Gen fuel Impacts as new bare tools selling for $144 ea for 2754 3/8" or 2755 1/2" impacts w/free shipping.
Picked up a pair for myself from "Santa"...YMMV, not many of each left when I ordered.

Home Depot had it on sale for 99 bucks, so I picked it up as a Christmas gift. Had to guess at their size, but the cashier assured me I could return it even if it had been opened.

I want to replace all the PVC water lines in the house. This tool will make short work of it I'm hoping. You got to see it in action to believe it. Incredible tool IMO.

I have the PEX tool also, makes installing water lines a breeze. I may never do a copper sweat again (wishful thinking) ;)

$29.99 plus shipping and tax @ Northern tool

I must have this

I'm not sure why but I really want one of these and plan on getting one soon. I haven't seen one in person yet.

Same here. When I first heard buzz about it coming out, I became obsessed and wanted it. Plus, since it gets dark early now, I'll need it when I put up Xmas lights :D

Anyone picking up the M18 Tripod worklight? I've been hunting around and finally found 1!

LINK

2130-20_1.png

i will have to do some serious bribing to get the shady vedor at work to buy one of these for me.. i might actually have to buy some alchol for this one..

as nice as that thing is, i dont think i could ever bring myself to spend $250 on ONE floodlight - and for that money - they should have at least made it possible for you to run it off A/C power like they did for the cheaper one.

so $250 for that, with NO battery, so figure its another $100 at least for big battery OR you can buy the Costco Snap On floodlight for $29, and that $20 Craftsman Tripod.. so this is what $50 can get you instead.

Sweet. I got a couple of those Costco lights, and I'll be looking for those Sears tripods this weekend. Thanks for sharing!

First milwaukee purchase thought I would compare these to my dewalt organizers and see what I like best. So not an addict yet [emoji2]

You'll like those. I have ten of them for a special project that I'm working on. Hopefully, this weekend I'll be able to get back to it.

It's nice on cold mornings for sure but I was working outside in light rain when it was right at freezing once last year and it did a good job of keeping me warm. When the battery ran out I went from comfortable to cold really fast. I didn't realize it was helping as much as it was until it stopped. The heaters are basically right on your chest, I guess to keep your core warm

I'm in the southeast so we don't usually stay in the 20f and under range for long

My M12 ratchet is just worn out. The ratcheting part is starting to slip sometimes. I've been really hard on that thing though so I'm happy with it (and bought was a refurb too).. I'm not sure what they say the max torque you're supposed to use it for is, but I'm sure I've probably doubled it. I'm surprised I haven't broken the thing in half yet or something

Not sure if it has already been said as I have not read the rest of the thread but you can order a head kit for the ratchet for like 15 bucks

What do you guys use to clean the grime and dirt off the Milwaukee Drills?

I did 1 transmission replacement and my impact driver and impact wrench look like they have been mining for 40 years...

will lacquer thinner harm the plastic? Or should I just stick with denatured alcohol

Both products will lift the grime away, the honda cleaner polish is used on motocycles to clean and help protect the differenf materials on a bike.

Personally I like balistol best as it does the best job overall

So...I just picked up my first few Milwaukee tools...and now I want more. I do mostly auotmotive (DIY) and will probably end up doing some stuff around the house.
I got the M18 1/2 drill and 1/4" impact driver kit, and then add the 1/2" FUEL Impact. What else would you all recommend grabbing for general use/automotive without going overboard? Just want to take advantage of some of the sales that are going on right now.

Thinking about my average day in the shop.....stick light (although the M12 is arguably more conducive to auto use) and any of their stereo/radios.

i just use hot water and dawn to clean tools.. you have to be careful with what you use, cause the white on the milwaukee logo comes off easy.

I got the m12 ratchet and love it. Better than dragging an air hose around.
