Interested in how you like the right angle impact? I've read good and bad about them

honestly, its weak-sauce. i do a lot of automotive work (diy), and its weak even on setting 2, which should be 60ft lbs of torque. its more like 40-50on setting 2, and 20ft lbs on setting 1. and to make matters worse, you cant use it as a ratchet. the anvil is free spinning until it hits the hammer inside. i find that it could have a use, but not often. i ended up buying the ratchet to "replace" the right angle impact. i simply break the fastener free by hand using the ratchet, and then hit the paddle to let it finish. it has a hard time even breaking from caliper slider bolts(which i lube twice a year on all cars). and we all know those are on like 30ft lbs at most. and what happens when it cant break it free? you gotta switch the socket into a ratchet, and then back to the right angle impact. total pain in the ***.

the ratchet is pretty darn strong. when i first got it, i didn't realize how strong it is. that thing gripped the fastener, snapped back, and jammed my hand against some metal lol. that proved to me how strong it really is!

It was a sad day yesterday. Was finally giving in and having the guy I go through get me the Milwaukee tool chest and they only have the top available around me! :( I hate waiting. They said they'd have more in the day after Christmas which isn't too far out but further than I would like.

I've been watching the M12 circular saw on eBay from CPO. Remanufactured just dropped to $104.99 for me this morning and I had to pull the trigger on that one! Bare tool only.

Thinking about adding a few more tools to my M12 and M18 collection.

Which is more recommended, the M12 or M18 multi-tool. Also, which impact wrench should I go for?

I had the M12 multi-tool, it got hot, battery life sucked, vibrated a lot.

I doubt the M18 is any better except in battery life.

M12 is probably cheaper if you're going to get one though.

This came today.. $35 shipped, can't ask for more.. It's not the m12 version - just works off 3 AA battereis (even came with them). Considering some places are selling it for $100, it's worth every penny. Goes up to 932 degrees Fahrenheit.. 12 feet away, it's measuring a 12" circle, 6 feet away, a 6" circle. For most people that's good enough IMO.

I was surprised they didn't incorporate the M12 batteries on these too. Got mine several weeks ago, and love it.

On a different topic... it makes me chuckle how so many guys get worked up about how much they don't like the Milwaukee hand tools. You guys realize everyone's laughing at your hatred, right?

Mine came in today too. Been playing around with it the last 10 minutes. Seems pretty nice so far, especially for the price.

I can only imagine that Milwaukee's intention was to have one model that was more "acceptable" for guys that don't own any m12 stuff.. Since all Milwaukee's meters and testers are all powered by regular AA's, I guess they wanted to make something available that could compete with Klien without having to invest in the M12 system.. They do make 2 other more professional and more accurate versions that work with the M12 platform, but the aren't cheap. This was honestly the same price as the HF unit without using a 20% off coupon.. With other places selling this for $100 or more - there's no way I was buying the HF one instead. Plus, my dog and cat love the laser, so it's pulling double duty as a toy for them too..

It appears there are different version of the hole dozer. Last year 14 piece has the word ice hardened stamped on it. This yr 15 piece version does not. The teeth appears to be slightly different as well. I wonder if the ice hardened will last longer.

Picked these up and tried one out with my M12 FUEL drill. I bought the 13 piece set and the 15 and combined the missing ones together to make a slightly more thorough kit.

Found a deal on the internet somewhere so I printed out the form to buy one, get one free. And just ended up ordering from Amazon.

Where is that deal?

I have a fluke pen and use it often, I would like one for the cottage + gift

Edit: I see it online.. But the reviews are quite bad so I'll stick with my Fluke.

No, TTBOMK the previous versions were not called Hole Dozer, they were just hole saws. The Hole Dozers are supposed to be fantastic w their large side evacuation ports and LT warranty against "tooth breakage." I continue to maintain that Milwaukee just made them softer to assure a tooth doesn't break off but instead they go dull in a heartbeat.

Seems like you already made your decision - but that Milwaukee tester fits on top of the Milwaukee temp gun I just posted.. There's deals on eBay, you can buy the voltage detector for $13 shipped.. The temp gun ran me $35 shipped. Link posted a few pages back. Here's the eBay detector;

Well I got the new 3-in-1 black heated hoodie / jacket combo.. I gotta say - I'm seriously impressed with the quality of this thing. I have last year's, and the year before's heated jacket, and the Dewalt heated hoodie too.. Your loosing a bit of mobility over the other models of heated jackets, but I can't help but feeling this would do much better in lower temps.. The ripstop jacket is pretty thick, with the hoodie - this is a pretty robust jacket combo.. This is by no means meant for light weather when worn together..
