The 2668 qualifies.....I'm gonna be selling mine.

I thought I'd rather have the 2667 in the 1/4" hex variety but then it's just kinda stupid 'cause you have this huge body and handle.

Soooo......I just ordered the 2467 from HD. Makes a lot more sense - a compact RAID. The RAID was initially the only reason I got into Nextec stuff. Now if Milwaukee would just make a quality inflator I'd get rid on my Nextec entirely.

I'll give ya that much.. 2668 is way underpowered from where it SHOULD be. There's only a 10lb torque difference between the m18 and m12.. You'd expect that m18 right angle impact to be in the ballpark of the regular impact wrench..

I've been waiting for the nailers for a long time. This is exciting news!

Recently I was on the verge of purchasing a pancake compressor and pneumatic brad and finish nailers for use in the basement. I had a hard time justifying this since there is a 26 gallon compressor in the garage that sees very little use as it is.

Ryobi, Ridgid, and Dewalt have cordless nailers, but I have a strong feeling against buying into a second 18/20V battery line. I'm not a Milwaukee brand ***** (ok, maybe a little), but from a logistical and cost standpoint it doesn't make sense for me.

I've waited this long. I can wait a little longer.

I have some older Paslode nailers that use the nicad battery and gas cartridge.. Things were amazing. These cordless electric models must be a godsend for.the.guys that use them alot..

Speaking of tape measures. I just ordered two 25' tapes (Contractor and magnetic) from CPO. They had a buy one get one free and free shipping. $14.99 for both tapes.

Does anyone know of anywhere running any free tool deals or promotions on either the M12 Band Saw or the M12 Circular Saw?

I'm looking to buy a house at the end of this year, so I decided to cut back on my gun purchases and start building a savings for all the incidentals that go along with home ownership. Having been a DeWalt guy for the last 20 years and not having much exposure to Milwaukee other than some older Sawzalls, I never really ventured into this thread. That is until mid December when my 10 year old 14.4V Dewalt drill's NiCads started dying on me. So with 140ish pages to the thread I figured I'd see what the deal was.

My thought process was this: I need a new drill and the M12/18 system looks great, no more random assortment of tool specific batteries, I'll just buy the drill that I need and upgrade slowly. Oh, Home Depot has a special on the drill and driver. I didn't even know I needed an impact driver, but I obviously do. Oh, for a net of only $50 more I can pick up the Fuel Sawzall. I already have a DeWalt, but it's the only tool I have that runs on their 18V and commonality is king. I live in an apartment, what do I need a second recip saw for when I don't even use the first? Who cares? Just buy it for that future house. I don't have access to my compressor and air tools, so the 1/2" Fuel Impact would be awesome for working on my truck in the parking lot. Oh, and so would the 3/8" ratchet. Well that escalated quickly...

Probably would've been cheaper to continue buying guns and ammo, but the plan is to replace the rest of my air/cordless/corded tools with the M12/18 line after I get into a new place.

Currently I have am m18 sawzall, 3/8 fuel impact 2654 and fuel drill/driver 2603. Two 2.0 and one 5.0 battery. The rest of my cordless is ingersoll stuff. If I could do it again, I'd pick one brand or another to simplify batteries and chargers. My IR stuff takes a 20v and 12v charger, the Milwaukee stuff can be done with one charger.

Yea - my first purchase was a Black Friday deal m12 drill/impact driver w/ a free 3rd XC battery pack - for $99 a year or 2 ago... I had just bought 5 new Dewalt 12v max tools cause I wanted to upgraded to lithium, and didn't need big stuff just for inside the house, but how do you turn down 2 tools with 3 batteries for $100???? Ok- I'll keep the Dewalt 12v max for clean work inside the house, and use the Milwaukee for dirty stuff ( this is how my mind comes up with a reasonable explanation to buy **** I don't need) A few thousand dollars later and I'm still finding excuses to buy stuff from Milwaukee, and I have a big collection of m12 and m18 stuff.. The lights are amazing btw.. I suggest you look into them..

Oh - and I'm on my 3rd Milwaukee heated jacket... Yes - THIRD..

source for M18 batteries that don't cost as much as buying a new drill that comes with 2 batteries and a charger?
I have always been a Milwaukee tool fan/ but the last oh, 5 years or so I cannot seem to find a single one that is made someplace besides freaking China....
that irritates the snot out of me.
I have needed a new drill for a couple years, my M18 has been down to one battery that will take a charge at all (out of 4) for a couple years now. but I have held off waiting for an American made Milwaukee to come back to market. (US or Canada!)
My wife bought me one last Christmas and I returned it, unopened, for just that reason.
Again this Christmas I found a new Milwaukee drill/impact kit under the tree. I did open it and charge the batteries but have not used either yet.

Just bought two M18 Fuel hammer drill kits I don't need. But the price was right and I need some batteries. Hopefully I can part out the rest.

Amazon recently had very good prices on the 5.0 AH batteries at $70-ish apiece. A THD near me is clearancing the 4.0 AH batteries at $65 each.

The 5.0 AH batteries have significant improvements over the 4.0 AH batteries with only a small size increase penalty.

You will want the fast charger for the 5.0's and the upcoming larger ones.

As far as made in USA Milwaukee power tools, probably never happening again.

There is a nice Milwaukee stick rule that is made in Sweden and it is only $11 bucks. That one is next on my list, and I can actually use one. Milwaukee branded accessories or small hand tools is probably the only place you will find COO other than China- and even that is slim pickings.

Mac tools has a 1/2 compact impact which they claim has 375 ft lbs of breakaway - http://www.mactools.ca/en-ca/NoValue/NoValue/BWP150-Z2/20V-MAX-1-2-Drive-Compact-Impact-Wrench-Kit

Hopefully they are 1/2 compacts in the range of 400-500 ft lbs, I will be the first in line:)

I wouldn't hold your breath on that.. Seeing as there wasn't much of an increase in the impact driver, pretty sure there won't be a huge increase in the small fuel 1/2" impact.. I think there was only a 10ftlb difference between the 3/8 and 1/2 of the first gen, and I think BOTH were under 200ftlbs..

The 1st gen FUEL 3/8" is right at 200 ft lbs I believe. I think the gen 2 is around 220 ft lbs. And as KC said there wasn't much difference from the 3/8" to the 1/2".

With my 3/8 fuel impact, using a shallow socket, tightening lug nuts abs listing it impact a few seconds, it would come in at 100 ft lbs on the dot. Loosening those same lug nuts, it would impact maybe 2-3 second and remove them. I have found things it wouldn't remove, so 200 may be generous. My uncle owns the non fuel 3/8 and I think my cordless ratchet has more power lol. I was trying to remove a 4cyl. Jeep head bolt with it and it wouldn't budge. I removed the head bolts on my Gm 3.4 like they weren't even torqued.

200 ft lbs is going by the manual for the first gen. No scientific test done by me aside from it removing most things I've used it on. Which again isn't scientific by any means.

Correct, the Gen 2 M18 Compact Fuel is already out and it is only 220 ft-lbs. I got curious because it sounded like something else is coming down the line. There does appear to be a gap that can be filled between the 2755 and 2763.

I've bought several brand new, in-package M18, 4.0 batteries around our area on craigslist for $50.

Even Snap-on has the electric tools made in China... But I wont let it stop me from getting my hands on some Milwaukee goodies.

I bought this Milwaukee bench grinder along with the cast iron base from my school for $50. I ended up painting the wheel housings black after I got it home. And yes, I know that I really need to dress the wheels.
