For some odd reason if you buy the upper and lower seperrate from home depot now its $100 cheaper than buying both at once
$798 for both at once or $698 if you buy them separate....

I wanted to ask if anyone has the Milwaukee tool box. And if so, do you like it? I'm looking for a good quality tool chest to go along with my Kobalt one, which is packed to the gills.

I think that's the only big tool box they have. But hopefully someone here knows: I have heard that they've got a couple more big toolboxes, in the works. Can anyone confirm? If they do, I may want to hold out and get the bigger one. That one that I linked is 46", so maybe they're going to come out with a 56" or a 72" or something that I'd be happier with. Anyone know?
It's a great box for the price. Sturdy and heavy. Smooth drawers with the soft close feature. Pre cut drawer liners. Just switch the security drawer lock with the main lock on the bottom box so the main boxes are keyed the same and uninstall, flip, and reinstall the surge protectors so the on/off switch faces the front of the box and you're ready to roll!

They're separate either way and not keyed the same. No reason to buy it together. But it is kinda dumb how they run the pricing, it's changed several times.

Yeah I saw a youtube vid about this box, where the guy was saying to switch out the locks. I like the soft close feature. Seems pretty useful.
Someone said you're a Milwaukee guru, so maybe you'd know. Are they coming out with more big tool chests like that one? Other, maybe bigger models.

I honestly can't say for sure, but if I was to bet I would say yes. Especially because of the way this one has been selling. The big question would be when. It could be a while. I haven't seen anything actually announced.

Do you happen to know if it can be found in home depot stores? I went to the one in my town, no dice. So 2 towns over, they also have a home depot, and they didn't have one either. They both just had dewalt.
I believe Milwaukee had a supplier problem and for several months they were unable to distribute the tool chests. They've just recently started flooding them back out so it may be coming to your area soon.
Been wanting a M18 fuel drill for some time now. I was disappointed with the power the regular non fuel cordless M18 drill had. Had originally purchased the drill and the non fuel hex impact driver in a set about 2 years ago.
Today I decided the heck with it, 89 bucks and free shipping on ebay got me the 2nd get M18 fuel 2704 bare tool. I already have 4 batteries so Im set there.

Is it just me, or is his website just about always offline?
I've been talking about this idea for years. Batteries have drastically improved which makes an adapter like this slightly less appealing. Regardless, in 10 years when the batteries are shot and Milwaukee moves on to a new battery type, this will still allow the tools to be useful.

I said for years someone should be making these.. Seems appealing for some people, keep them from having to buy a corded tool for something you know you would need to work on a bit.. The SDS drill and grinders seem like a good tool for these especially.
I have corded sawzall's, but the fuel is the newest and best cutting.. If I didn't have the older ones, why go out and buy a corded model for just a few uses if you can buy an AFFORDABLE voltage converter to use that would also work on all the other tools.

Make sure you check the drill. I noticed that guys feedback. Thats why he can sell for less than me, he cheaps out on packaging it sounds like. I'm one of the cheapest on their but I ship in a Medium flat rate box and do a pretty bad *** job packaging lol plus I don't use generic pictures. My pictures are of the actual tool and SN. That's why I like selling local more, I can sell for a lower price since I don't have to pay fees or shipping. I sell the drill and impact for $90 but take $80 each on CL. I sell the 2763-20 with a charger and two 5.0 batts for $395 on eBay but since CL doesn't have fees and I don't have to ship it I sell it for $320 on CL.

After using my Fuel Sawzall and 1 4.0 battery lasting way longer than it took to charge the other I don't really see the need for a $300 adapter at all....except that it's a new tool accessory.

Well a 4.0 battery only last about 30 minutes on the fuel grinder.. Maybe 20 on the vacuum.. Sawzall under continuous use, I'm not sure it would last that long either.. I mean, it's hard to argue the usefullness of the tool.. It's like saying there's no need for corded tools.. It just depends what your doing.. You try drilling large holes with the fuel drill all day, I promise it won't last long either.
I have the 7/16 chuck version of the high torque impact at work.. With an 11/16 ship auger bit, I'm not drilling many holes through telephone poles at work.. It lasts a long time only because I'm doing other stuff in-between, and not constant drilling.. That's exactly why the first converter I posted is offered though Greenlee and not Makita..

I don't think you'll have a problem. They seem to be few and far between. It's just something I always look at when I buy stuff on eBay. eBay would have you back either way it's just the thought of the hassle.

I'm super tempted to test your bad *** packaging, but already have an M18 non-Fuel drill that hardly gets any use. The M12 Fuel is pretty handy and the new One Key stuff should be out pretty soon...
It's funny that the first gen Fuel drill is selling for more than the second gen on eBay.

The one key stuff will be like $100 more for the kit I heard though. I think the one key would be useful on the impacts with anvils but I don't know about the hammer drill or 1/4" hex impact. I love my M12 FUEL kit though and use it the most around the house honestly. Small size and big power (for the size).

Yesterday I got to use the M18 driver (middle power setting) and it is great. Attached 2 long screw on the gutter to the facia board no sweat. I still have my hitachi 18v driver but the Mil brushless is very nice. Hitachi is for sale locally

Another member said they're separate anyway...so how could you still buy them "separate"? I guess you're saying that if you buy one already assembled, its $100 more?
And if you get them separate, maybe you don't get any brackets to connect them with. That would be uncool...

If you buy it as the 'combo' or purchase the top and bottom separately it's the same exact thing. You still get the two separate boxes that come in two separate packages and are not keyed the same. There is no difference aside from price. They both come with the same stuff whether they're purchased together or separately. They come in the same boxes that are labeled individually. The brackets are included. If you're stacking them you actually end up with an extra Milwaukee mat to use elsewhere because you can't put it on the rolling box if you're stacking them. I use mine on my work bench now.

Maybe it wasn't calibrated from the factory? There is a way to calibrate it yourself if you have a fluke meter and the proper cable

When I got mine I didn't even use the batteries that were sent.. They went right in the trash (or recycling bag more like it) and I replaced them with new..

Valid points. The One Key features with the impacts is what I am really looking forward to. On the drill I don't see how it would be beneficial for the average user.
