Last few days I have been using the M18 Trueview flood light & Costco Snap-on LED. I found the combination of both produces very "True" view. I find Trueview a bit too yellow/orange while Snap-on a bit too bright white, but the 2 of them together is awesome!

Debating picking up the new one key 3/8" impact kit with the 2.0 batteries. Have someone that wants to buy my gen 2 for $200 with a 5.0 battery so I'd only be out $109 and I've been wanting a couple 2.0 batteries since all I have is 5.0's. Ugh. Decisions.

Get it so then you can tell the rest of us what we are missing out on!

But seriously, get it. I am curious as to how it will be able to fine tune the setting for repetitive applications.

Hi All,

I am new to the forum and then I came across this post with "The Milwaukee Addiction"(while I was looking for a way to incorporate my Milwaukee Tool Cabinets), I think I have it as well :)

These are my tools and cabinets:

This one was before I got the cabinets

I am moving back to Denmark, Europe soon and then I need to find a way to fit it into my garage/workshop(going to refurbish it from scratch)

Just received 3/4" impact #2764-80. It's pretty much the same size as the 1/2 fuel. I forgot to do a comparison with my 1" air IR impact.

So with that M12 special they have going on, where you buy a tool kit and get a bare tool for free, do they do something similar for the M18 series? Want to pick up some M18 stuff, but I don't need it right this instance and am willing to wait if they occasionally run some sort of special that makes it worth the wait.

2454 + 3/8" ratchet showed up. I really wish the ratchet would fit in the plastic case..

I have a 3/8" ratchet already but I've just plain worn that thing out. I was buying a 2454 anyways so figured I might as well get the ratchet and not bother rebuilding my old one. $199 total and I had a $75 gift card so that made it more palletable!

Woohoo! Of course I didn't bring any sockets to work today so I can't play with the new toys..

The impact wrench is heavier than I was expecting for some reason.. though it's lighter than my M18 3/8 impact so I guess that is about right. Def. heavier than my 1/4" M12 driver.

Has anyone else had the oscillatory tool destroy the original m12 battery's contact/locking? Both of my batteries have separated from their shells. I have to push the battery into the tool while using it for it to work. I hesitate to get more m12 tools if all their batteries have this failure mode.

I am looking at getting into the cordless game, getting the m12 fuel combo with hammer drill and impact driver. The deal right now is that you get a free bare tool. For projects around the house, what is more valuable, the multi-tool or the right angle drill? I don't have either of them, but can think of where the right angle drill would have been useful in the past. Not sure about the multi-tool, but it might be one of those, once you get one, you don't know how you got along without it type of things?

Thanks for any advise!

I think many who have the right angle dont like it that much. The hackzall is a very useful tool, ratchet is awesome if you do car work, multitool is nice, rotary is good if you dont have one already.

Got my Gen-2 3/8 impact boot on the way!! Been waiting for it!

What's the part number for that? Also who did you order it from? I want to get a boot on mine before it gets too dirty to clean up. I'm careful as I can be but hard to avoid it when everything is oily...

This thread really makes me want to sell the v28 stuff and switch the 18 or 12volt stuff. I really like the broad selection of tools with these newer stuff. I am going to have to decide quick what I am going to do.

I wonder what useful application this is made for. Not the once in a while use, but the person/job that would need this every day. It only does 50 ft-lbs. Since its hex that means using a hex screw bit or drill. Wouldnt be for sockets cause why not just use the ratchet. Yet there is a M18 1/4 hex and a 3/8 version, and the 3/8 is only 60 ft-lbs. 3 versions of a tool only addicts would by.

In looking at this, just realized M12 right angle drill is only 100 in-lbs, thats useless!

I used this for the first time in my 1/4 hex drill a few weeks ago.

I'm thinking I might want the m12 right angle impact driver.. Just for the hell of it...

I was messing around with the new 2454 last night and I was able to take lug nuts off with it. It took 2-3 seconds of it impacting before they broke loose but it took off every lug nut I tried it on.

Quite impressive for the size!

Ordered the 2452-22 kit with the free 3/8" ratchet yesterday and got an email a few hours later saying it was back ordered. What the hell HD, get your **** together, I need my fix.

Anyways. Sold my 3/8" ratchet with a 1.5ah battery and a charger for $120 so $80 got me the 1/4" impact and two 2.0 batteries. Not to shabby.

Also my new light and battery arrived a few days ago.

Grrr... damn tempting email deals.... Just ordered the M18 3/8 Fuel Impact 2754 kit... Got the kit with 2 5.0 batteries for $230 shipped!!! Was waiting for Zoro 30% off to get the compact kit with 2 2.0s for $207, but only $23 more for 5.0s instead... sold.... Now I gotta sell my non-Fuel 2651 3/8...

Over at Toolup.com they were running a 15% of select Fuel kits like other vendors, email I got today doubles that to 30% off. Code is FUEL30. Was tempted to pickup the 2763 kit too but I was good and successfully resisted...

Wow nice code! Unfortunately their 2763-22 kit only has the 4.0XC batteries instead of the 5.0XC. I wonder if that means they are older kits? For 300$ I'm still really tempted.

I dont think there is a 2763 kit with 5.0s, only kit on Milwaukees site says 4.0.

FWIW a friend of mine ordered a 2763 kit last week (not sure if it was from ToolUp or not) and the description stated 4.0Ah but the kit came with 5.0Ah.

Might be worth a shot. Me Im "stuck" with 4 4.0Ah batteries....Ill somehow find a way to go on :)

Hmm, interesting, but that means Milwaukees site is out of date, havent seen that before.

If your 4.0s are relatively new and find yourself in RI, you can trade me a few 4.0s + $ for 5.0s... I have a small fortune of 5.0s and 4 of them are NIP

Most new production of the 2763 kits are shipped with 5.0 batteries. I've seen a bunch first hand and sold a few at the end of last year.

Makes you wonder what the battery strategy is going to end up, with the 2 new ones they have coming out there will be 7 models.

CP 1.5 - My guess is once all stock/kits is gone it will be discontinued.
CP 2.0 - No need for more than 1 compact battery.
XC 3.0 - Makes sense to have an entry level extended capacity battery.
XC 4.0 - I would guess this is going away once all stock/kits is gone. But how far off is having a 4.0 compact for M18?
XC 5.0 - Its now most common for Fuel kits, prolly around for 2 more years.
XC 6.0 - Soon to be released, but still unsure why they need 3 extended capacity packs assuming 4.0 is going away.
HD 9.0 - Good luck selling a $250 battery.... though the thought of being able to run one of the new Trueviews all day on 1 pack is a nice fantasy.

My prediction for 2 yrs from now they will have M18 CP 3.0, XC 4.0, XC 6.0 and HD 9.0. On the M12 side CP 2.0, XC 4.0, XC 6.0.

I sent an email to Toolup to see if they knew which batteries it would have. I still might fire on it either way... I've been waiting for a Zoro 30% sale and this is better anyhow because the original price is cheaper. I'm really tempted to go nuts on Fuel stuff here...

Yeah when I saw the email, I was like this is TGTBT. The only other Fuel things I want are the 2763 and maybe the 2730 6.5" circular but I'd rather get the M12 5 3/8" since I already have the Fuel 7 1/2". What stopped me from getting the 2763 kit is I'll just wait for some bare tool promo instead of having to sell more extra batteries. BUT nice thing is the case would be nice, so glad I am getting the 2754 case. I dont have the hard case for my 2651 or 2663.

Are there any other kinds of deals going on or anything? Mail in stuff to get bare tools or anything that would make this Toolup deal on the 2763-22 less competitive?

I've never seen 30% off except from Zoro on their higher price, best I have seen is 20-25% off. On a $400+ kit best you can hope for is a free bare tool up to $200. The 2763 bare tool is $219, so for another $80 you are getting 2 5.0s, charger, and case.
