Just ordered the 3/8" M18 Fuel compact impact to add to my kit. Couldn't turn up the 20% off kit and 2 5.0 batteries from Home Depot.

Ive been using my M18 fuel impact driver with a 1/4 hex to 3/8" driver adapter, but this should be a welcome upgrade.

Thought this was a pretty good deal - Home Depot had a online only deal that now appears to have expired. I got the 18v Fuel One-Key Drill / Impact combo with a free 6 1/2" circular saw for $479.

Mine arrived yesterday and will put it to work this weekend. I'm anxious to try out the programmable torque and speed settings.

I did not want or need the hammer drill version as I already have a Milwaukee corded SDS hammer drill that I really like.

Did I already miss it?

So... Probably some of you might laugh at me because of this.
I was thinking of the ways how to protect the paint on my new 1/2 and 3/8 fuel impacts since they scratch very easy, i was thinking of buying those booths but they are kinda pricy and bulky so there is no way to use Milwaukee case with those things on.
So i took black electrical tape and insulated the metal part of both impacts.
It turned out pretty good and i shouldn't have any issues with heat because i won't be using it every day. I could post pictures if anyone is interested to see.

Fortunately the boots aren't hard to take off or put back on, so I just went ahead and bought the boots for my 1/2 and 3/8 impacts, and the boots will fit in the case since they're so malleable and can be squashed down.

But it also helps that once I get a real job, and a tool chest, I'll just toss them in a drawer and stick the cases in my closet.

This will be temporary thing until i purchase boots, my 3/8 came with two small scratches already caused by the case probably because ups wasn't very gentle with the package.

You're right though, they're not exactly cheap, but I'm a tool ***** and they say Milwaukee, which is why I bought them instead of opting for a cheaper solution. :lol_hitti

Just picked this up today. M18 multi-tool 2626-20, bare tool only. Will go nicely with my drill, impact, and flashlight. It was $99 at Home Depot regular price. I have a feeling I'll have to get more batteries down the road, and need to find a good source for blades. It's only money, right?:lol_hitti

Well I went with the 2799-22cx kit. It was only another $50 over the 2701 and came with a 4.0 battery and the impact driver, also the drill has the hammer feature but I dot think I'll use that often as I have a dedicated electric hammer drill. I think for around the house I am pretty well set up with this kit!

You'll need an assortment of impact rated bits.

Did everyone win the TShirt in the Fuel promo last go around, mine was in the mail pile from while on vacation. Weird that never noticed anyone posting about the free shirt then all of a sudden bunch of us got them. Wish a giant package of tools showed up instead... Free shirt was kind you find at wallyworld for $5, would of expected better quality...

Guess so, the t shirt I received was a heavy made cotton t shirt, don't know how much nicer you could be for a free t shirt that you didn't even plan on getting for free lol also got a philips head shockwave bit

Anybody got any good reasons to not own both the 3/8" and 1/2" compact impact wrenches along with the high torque 1/2" impact wrench? Already have the high torque and the 3/8", but the 1/2" compact is a whopping $159 now that I'll already have two chargers and four batteries, and so I was kicking around the idea of picking up the compact 1/2" as well. It's the tool ***** in me. :lol_hitti

With as much power as these new gen 2 compacts have I plan on picking up a 1/2" 2755 one as well. My 3/8 2754 is too powerful on the high setting for a lot of the stuff I work on in the 3/8 drive fastener size range, and I find myself using a 3/8-1/2 adapter quite often to save from getting an air hose or my big 2763 out...

Thanks!!!

I've been patiently waiting for a sale of some kind on the nailers.

I planned on buying the bare tool and using the 3.0 batteries I already had. The full kit with an extra charger and a compact battery for less than the bare tool was a no brainer for me. Throw in the tape measure (love my 16' version) and the knife and the deal only gets better.

The item page did say free shipping, but when checking out that didn't happen. Regardless, still very happy with the deal.

I can see what you mean about preferring to use the 2754 over the 2763, this thing is teeny tiny, much smaller and lighter than what I was expecting. Kind of makes me wish I had a digital scale so I could do a true comparison between the different impacts, since I haven't seen anyone else do one. Maybe I'll have to see if Walmart has one cheap.

I'm trying to convince myself that I don't need the 2763 kit right now, but that 20% off is making it mighty tempting.

You can't even get them on eBay for that price, and it's so nice having all that power in your hand with nothing getting in the way. Buddy in trouble on the side of the road? Throw it into your bag and have all the power you need on the side of the road in the bumfuck middle of nowhere.

I think you'll find the boots to be quite satisfactory. And, like I said, they're easy enough to put on and take off that it won't be a chore to take them off when you need to put the tool in the box and then put the boot back on when you need to use it.

So i got my impact boots, 1/2 inch impact boot fits perfectly. Boot for the 3/8 compact fits but its a first gen boot because second gen 3/8 impact doesn't have that bolt on the top. And that was only boot available for 3/8 impact at home depot website.
Is yours the same?

2nd gen boots can be ordered from Milwaukee customer service. Had gotten the 3/8" and 1/4" from them and they fit perfect

Yeah, now that I look at it, mine is a 1st gen boot also, even though the page I ordered from said it was for the 2754.

I just pulled out the packaging from the trash and I don't understand it. The part number is 49-16-2754, so I thought that that meant that it would fit the 2754-20, but now that I look at the packaging it says it only fits the first gen impacts. Guess that's what I get for ordering online and not reading the full product description, seeing as how common sense says the 2754 boot should fit the 2754 and not the 2654.

I did wonder why the boot looked funny in the picture online, but just figured that someone screwed up and used the wrong photo.

Oh well, it's not like it's a huge deal, the boot still fits okay and will protect the tool.

Yeah that boot item number is misleading , not a really big deal since tools are so similar.

Yup, not a big deal. It fits well enough that I never noticed until you said something. I'll pick up the 2nd gen boot if it ever becomes readily available, but if I have to call Milwaukee to order it then I'm not going to bother. I hate talking on the phone enough that talking on the phone bothers me more than a 1st gen boot on a 2nd gen impact.

For those that own the jacket, how's the fit. And like the sweater is a tighter more snug fit more beneficial as far as keeping warm?

Yes tighter is better, but I still buy mine in my standard sizes.. For me comfort is more important. Their standard jacket - has 5 zones.. Once you snug up the bottom and close it all up, it still keeps you very warm on high.. I spend the winters in a long sleeve t shirt, heated Milwaukee and Carharrt hat.. Very few days do I need more then that, and I'm out in the weather everyday

Jackets are short IMO. If you're going to have much on underneath it I'd go up a size

If you're short and big bellied they probably fit great. I am not.

LOL didnt you already buy some heated gear this year? I ordered my nephew a hoodie to go with the jacket I already bought him. Also ordered a few things to flip and maybe will keep something for myself, but I already own 2 hoodies and 1 jacket. Gonna swap a non-USB adapter with one from a jacket I ordered to flip.

Thanks for this, I just ordered another hoodie in grey.

LOL yeah the sizes do have a little wiggle room in the belly. The sizes are more true than most clothing you find in a store.

I was glad I ordered the right size on my first hoodie. I read how tighter is better but too wanted comfort also. Large hoodie for me is well fitting with a little room around my waist. Works very well. I am 5'11" and 195lbs and large is perfect I think. Friend tried mine on before buying one and he is 5'7" and 185lbs, little long in arms and length but rest fits well.

Ordering a Hoodie. This will be my 1st M12 Heated wearable. Hard to justify the cost @ full retail living out here in the Desert (it is still over 100 degrees outside right now and its almost midnight). Anyway thanks for sharing the deal. Maybe I'll get to use it this winter a few times.
