So I have the Milwaukee 7/16 hex drive high torque impact at work, and just ordered the newer Dewalt version to keep on another truck. Should be interesting to see which one seems better.. the Milwaukee programming must be detuned to only 500ftlbs, I'm guessing since they see more sustained use. The Dewalt however is rated at 700ftlbs which if it's accurate, would be pretty unreal.. the Milwaukee is already faster then our regular corded Ingersoll Rand impacts.. to be continued...

I also would like to point out, as I did last year in another thread, these jackets zip into all North Face outer shells.

They arent as good as the jackets, but they will keep you warm.. even without the heat though they are nice hoodies. Use em under a carhartt jacket and you'll never know what cold is.. I have the ripstop jacket too, but the material is real stiff. The hoodie is unique to the set. I ordered a grey one myself. I have a heated Dewalt hoodie as well.. yea. I have way too much ****..

This weekend I go on the annual trip where I would love to have this. If Milwaukee made one I'd be on the pre-order list.

I seriously almost bought this.. was betting I could make it work with the m12 power source. I still might pick one up just for the hell of it next time I hit some good overtime. Spent way too much money this month on motorcycle junk so the line has to be drawn somewhere. It looks big and clunky but when you're out in the heat any relief is welcome.

Well the Dewalt dcf898b 7/16 drive, brushless high torgue impact just showed up at my door. I'll bring it to work to tomorrow and see how the performance compares to the Milwaukee Fuel 7/16 drive version - but I already think the Milwaukee seems like a better tool..
The Dewalt version seems heavier or less balanced, the trigger response is slower. Also,in typical Dewalt fashion, the anvils clunk around inside if I just pull and let go of the trigger.. I so hate all the noises that come out of dewalts tools... The drills especially. Everything seems to bang or clunk with Dewalt.
I have the fuel 1/2 high torque at home now and have them side by side. All the impacts are the same with the exception of the drive size I belive... ( and torque ratings, the utility impacts seem to be de tuned for longevity) Unless this Dewalt (which on the box is "only" rated at 500ftlbs and not the 700 I read online) pulls off some kinda miracle tomorrow when I use it side by side with the Milwaukee - I'd say nobody needs to second guess if they choose the Milwaukee impacts and then wondered if the Dewalt was better in any way.. The Dewalt has a better light on it, and a better switch to change torque settings.. 3 settings instead of just 2 - (I'll admit that seems like a common sense feature Milwaukee left out - not having an intermediate torque setting I mean)... Other than that, your not missing anything.. (So far)
My new grey heated hoodie showed up too.. Oh - and so did the new K&N air filter and chain breaking/riveting tool for my Gsxr. - My UPS driver must wonder why there's boxes showing up every couple days.. It never stops.. New Saddlemen seat for the bike should be here next week, along with the new chain and hyper fast sprocket set from Vortex..

Just received my hoodie too! I was expecting thicker material but I do like the light feel. Can't wait till weather cools down to test it out.

The Dewalt heated hoodie is much thicker.. It's just like an insulated carhartt hoodie. You can use the m12 power source and battery on any of the Dewalt stuff too if you ever wanna give one of those a shot.. I DONT have a Dewalt jacket yet, but they look like they are made out of much more durable material then the Milwaukee stuff if your clothes come inconstant contact with stuff at work, and rips might be a real concern.

awesome, good to know about the power source, thanks! I been monitoring a Dewalt jacket at the local sears in the clearance section, somebody on the sears thread got theirs for $30 on clearance.

^ That was me. It was the only item on the clearance rack and was XXXL. But for $30 just the battery & charger is a good deal.
I used my M12 Fuel drill with Meguiar's DA polisher attachment today to polish and wax my cars. Both tools worked really well. I polished and waxed the Vette then waxed 1/4 of another car with a 4 ah battery. Then I tried out a 2ah battery and enjoyed the portability, that is a great feature of the M12 tools. I was really impressed with how long the 4.0 battery lasted.

Not Milwaukee, but a great da polisher is the corded porter cable.. The thing is just awesome.. For something more aggressive I bought the black HF polisher and the Meguires wool pad they sell at HF too.. Another great investment in car care... The Mequiar's Ultimate line of wax and polish is the best I've used.. Even better then their professional stuff.. I tried about 6 or 7 different ones trying to get the paint to shine on a car I had left parked under a tree for 4 or 5 years.. The Ultimate stuff Amazed me.. I buy nothing else anymore. Their ultimate soap is the best I've used too..

I agree about the Meguiar's ultimate compound and polish, good stuff. I use their Gold Class carnauba wax, I prefer it over any synthetic wax. Mother's carnauba soap has been my favorite.
I thought this might be the place to ask this...
I keep tabs on several GJ threads and follow several construction/carpentry Instagram accounts, etc - when I see guys showing off their drills/impact drivers - they drive screws with next to no wobble and in straight as an arrow in .3 seconds.
Granted, I'm no professional - but, I'm not incapable of driving a screw, either.
My issue is that I bought the M18 Fuel Drill/Driver set last year and have made great use of it on my home - but, have been frustrated so much and so often by how much the chuck wobbles. To the point where it looks as though the end of any bit I put on either one rotates in a circle instead of spinning as a fixed point. Is this normal?
Has anyone else experienced it with these makes or any other tools?
What would be my best course of action to either have it corrected/replaced?

More than a few people have had an issue with this.. You can try contacting Milwuakee and they may fix it or send a replacement after you send the drill in,. I've seen a thread somewhere where the owner swapped in a professional chuck and it basically eliminated the issue..

2731 has arrived. Put a Diablo blade on it. And of course I cleaned up all the scrap wood a few weekends ago so I didn't have much to try it out on.. I found one 2x4 and it sliced right through that no problem. So, I'll count that as a win.

You're going to love it. It's a beast.
I've used it to cut scrap stuff for disposal. To cut framing studs for a closet in an upstairs bedroom and some outdoor projects.
Strong, fast and no cord. Awesome.
Haven't put a Diablo blade on mine yet, though.
Just picked up a 90 tooth 10" for my miter and they threw on a 60 tooth 7 1/4 for free. Don't know if I need the 60 on the circ? [emoji848]

Everything I could find said the 60 tooth Diablo would do pretty much everything. Not perfect for anything but could do about everything and was good at cutting plywood without making a bunch of chips in the cut end.. so, figured that was a good fit for me. If I was just doing 2x4's or something like that I'd probably go lower

Amazon had a pretty nice canvas Milwaukee bag - maybe 15" - or so, that I'm fairly certain it fits in. Pretty cheap, too - less than $15.
Not a huge fan of the bags - but, gotta do what you gotta do.

I recently did this for my M12 circular saw and it made a huge difference. I put on a 24t diablo like the link below. Impressive for a small cordless saw.
