I did not get a shipping notification yet, but I just signed onto Ohio Power tool and it shows the order for my m18 search light as "shipped 9/27" which is a bit odd since it's still 9/26 for 3 more hours.. Hopefully it'll be here soon.. But now - DEBATE TIME!!!!!!!!!!!

Shipping is really high on Ohio power tool I was surprised

I think it was $12 for mine.. honestly I didn't care anyway cause I'm getting reimbursed for it.

Now that they have been released I'm gonna ask our vendor later today to pick up 3 more and a 6 bay charger for work

Looks like WholeSalePowerTools and Homedepot.com are both going to be offering the M18 Miter saw with a extra second 9.0ah battery for free.

I think im going to order it from HD as soon as it comes into stock as I have a 15% off coupon also, with the free second 9.0ah battery will make it worth it.

I thought the kit price was higher than $599... that price with 2 9.0s is a good deal.

Yeah 9.0s would be nice for the upcoming yard tools.

Does anyone know if the M18 Fuel 10" Miter Saw can cut a 4x4 in 1 cut? Their site says, Vertical Capacity Against Fence 5-3/4", sounds like it would.

Tool Guy had these estimates back when on pricing. So either its $50 cheaper than expected or on sale right away, perhaps they heard all the people who thought $550 tool only was high.

Price: $549 for the bare saw, $649 for the kit which comes with a 9.0Ah battery and charger
ETA: September 2016

CPO shows the kit for $699 as pre-order and says it ships 10/21, Wholesale says 10/10. So whats the normal price; $599, $649, or $699. $599 w/ 2 9.0s is looking even more tempting, I only have a 5% HD coupon which doesnt even cover the tax.... :-( Seems the free 9.0 promo may run till 12/31/16.

BTW Kit comes with the $80 rapid charger.

I wanted to get the string trimmer in the spring also so having the 2 9.0 batteries makes that a good deal as well.

You can buy 10% Lowe's coupons on eBay, and hd will honor those.. it's only a few dollars and I think they just email you a coupon to print out with a valid code.

Edit - here. $0.99 for the 10% coupon

Just ordered three more M12 flashlights thru Zoro with 25% SAVETEMBER (ends today). Works out to $79.66 per light (after tax for my state) which is still damn spendy for a flashlight I'll admit. But two are Xmas gifts and one is a second for me. Basically, it's nice to get a little Xmas shopping done.

Yes, they do. Sorry for your problems, sounds likely something did not work for you.

Unrelated: got my M18 9.0 starter kit today. I found it interesting the 9.0's come fully charged; every other M series battery I've ever purchased new comes with 2 of 4 bars, ie half charge. Also the Rapid Charger flashes slow green as a battery approaches full charge. Not sure if this is good or bad, just different. I had to look at the instructions as usually the charger flashing is not necessarily good.

Yeah I think it means its 75-80% charged when it starts flashing. You will be amazed how quick it charges batteries, I have the rapid charge station.

YW. I think I will wait for the rover and search to come to their site before buying if it is priced near retail like the mag and pumpkin, after 25-30% coupon it could be a sweet deal. Also the 1st gen rocket tower is $252 there, which brings it well under $200 with a coupon, but no free battery kit.

Thanks a lot. Just ordered one. $235 after tax.

Got this today. Sound is meh. Taking it back. I like the idea of being able to use my m12 batteries but the sound is like listening to am radio. The crappy ryobi one+ sounds about the same and it was only $20. can't have it all I guess lol still love Milwaukee.

FYI: I am basing the sound comparison to my ryobi one+ and Bem speaker.

Bem speaker still has better sound, high, mids and can hang with low's. Got it from Costco for $40 so Milwaukee being at $69 and bigger did not meet my expectations. Old tech vs new tech I guess.

I agree. I bought the Milwaukee speaker for full price to use around the house. I had a Bm as well - but it broke.

The Bm sounded awesome. But the charging port broke. Thought the Milwaukee would work out great. I liked the speaker - but the sound absolutely sucked. It was powerful enough, bit distorted when the volume was only 1/2 way up. Big disappoint.

Took it back and got a JBL for about $100 that sounds awesome.

Nice. What are you planning to use the pumpkin for ?

I have no need...I've got 3 of their M18 floodies 1 old, 2 of the newer ones that go 3X brighter. Waiting for the raptor myself

Oh ****.......I'm supposed to have an intended use in mind before ordering tools???? Um, well......I'll use it to light.....things. :D

Have you listened to the M18 speaker to compare the two?

I love the ability to be able to charge a battery or play from a battery. It would be a great solution for my enclosed car trailer.

I use my M12 speaker daily and love it. I've never had any sound quality qualms with it. If you crank your source and turn it all the way up it can clip on some songs but I just adjust the levels a little bit. From experience so far it seems suited to speed metal, R&B, cyberpunk elevator music, and more. It's nice and compact and uses M12 batteries which I have a ton of and it can survive tumbling out of an engine bay onto the ground without much worry. Also I got mine in a clearance kit at HD for 50$ with an M12 drill and a tool bag.

I have the M12 speaker as well as a Braven 625s. The Braven stays in the garage for working on cars and the Milwaukee stays in the basement work area where I am typically working with wood.

There's no question that the Braven sounds clearer/better, but each work well. I am often using a saw/drill/sander in the basement, so the sound quality of the M12 speaker doesn't bother me. This is also where all of my M12 batteries are stored, so it adds to the convenience as well.

I knew with a single/mono speaker the M12 wouldn't sound great. For the reduced price ($30 or $35 from another member here) it was well worth it to me to have a second bluetooth speaker that also happens to use the same batteries as the power tools I am always using.

Yeah, I dunno I like the M12 speaker fine. It makes some background noise that I select (vs the radio), that's all I need. Love charging my phone on it too. With an XC battery it'll fully charge an IPhone and give me 2 days of music.

Soooooo....this may have been discussed earlier in the thread but I just stumbled upon Woodstock's info from MAY of this year, regarding release of a myriad of M28 Fuel tools. It can't come quick enough, I love M28 and just had a battery bite it last weekend. Thing is, I kinda refuse to buy anymore M28 batts here when 5.0s are available in EU and AU.

With Flexvolt and 36V Metabo (did ya see the cordless 9" grinder at Toolguyd?? Holy chit!!) poised to threaten Milwaukee, M28 is their pre-existing built-in way to answer the voltage wars.

I haven't heard anyone say "m28" in a LONG time

I'd be interested in the lighting.. gimme a 10 hour runtime on a 2000 lumen tripod light and I'll be all over that.. nice to see them bringing the fuel line to the 28v platform.. that would be especially good for the lawn and garden area.. why even make an 18v string trimmer if they can revive the m28 line...

That would give alot of people a good enough reason to invest in a THIRD platform.

I thought they were killing off the M28..... Didnt hear anything about it during NPS16 reviews...

There is a M28 Fuel SDS but nothing else. That site is the only thing I can quickly find to mention this. I dont believe it, no way they are coming out with that giant list of tools anytime soon...... UNLESS all the new tools they are releasing can run via 18 or 28 battery, the reverse of Dewalt

If they would just release M28 batts greater than the present 3ah and a kickass impact wrench it'd bring the platform back to modern standards. The original impact was based on the old electric technology.

Then M28 is the perfect place for OPE, and yeah, something like a string trimmer that could use M18 or M28 batteries would be cool. Maybe you get more power w the higher voltage, or maybe the tool knocks it down internally and you just get more run-time
