Rebate forms are posted and better deals than last year, but last year I think these 2 promos were combined into 1 promo. But it seems the purchase needs to be all on 1 receipt/invoice, which is different than last year.

Shockwave

Sawzall Blades & Hole Saw
https://milwaukeetool-rebates.herokuapp.com/promotionBrochure/1565738/data

Ebate is not posted yet but they are running another promo where you get free stuff when buying shockwave stuff, sawzall blades, hole kits, etc. Last year I got a free mag tape, inkzalls, and pouch. Valid on purchases until 12/31/16. Not sure how the ebate process works, last year I had to mail in UPCs and receipts.

Did anyone notice the promo of buy $100 worth of hole saws or sawzall blades and get a free corded 12A sawzall? Seems too good to be true.

But I just ordered $110 worth of hole saws from HD.com and submitted my form. It's easy to hit $100 in hole saws, even though I kinda think the Hole Dozers are soft garbage. We'll see......

The 6509-31 is only 3/4" stroke but retails for well over $100 everywhere online. I never use corded sawzalls but know someone I can give it to.

The new m18 rocket tower light is being sold.. Ships mid October for the bare tool, mid November for the kit

$399 (ouch) for the bare tool at Ohio power tool (2 hour runtime with a 5.0) :(
$549 for the kit (Jesus that's how much the m18 miter saw is)

https://www.ohiopowertool.com/p-164...DbbL3zl3lily2NmguPKZnUEKRaIP0SzlMURoCf1vw_wcB

I know this might sound like a stupid question - and I even emailed Milwaukee to ask but never got a response. This light is advertised as having a charger that can charge any m18 battery while plugged in to a 110v outlet using the covered receptacle. But NOWHERE, does anything describe this light as being dual powered.. Does anyone know IF this light can be powered by an extension cord without a battery like the (plainly advertised) dual powered floodlight?? You'd think that would be in the description but it isn't.. It would really **** to find out it can ONLY charge a battery while the light isn't being used..

This is the description:

M18 ROCKET LED Tower Light/Charger (Tool Only) 2135-20
STAND UP. LIGHT UP. CHARGE UP. The M18™ ROCKET™ LED Tower Light/Charger is designed to deliver a lighting solution that ADAPTS, PERFORMS, and SURVIVES professional use unlike any other portable work light. The 2135-20 can be setup in seconds to a max height of 7’, and collapses to less than 4’ for easy transport and storage. The light head can be extended from 4-7’ to light overhead work or minimize shadows when casting light downward. The multidirectional light head gives users the ability to orient the three independently pivoting light heads to cast light in several directions. With an integrated AC plug, a user can plug in the light with a standard extension cord, and charge any M18 REDLITHIUM™ pack. Delivering 3,000 lumens, it fills up large areas with TRUEVIEW™ High Definition light. For optimized control over the output and run-time, the M18™ ROCKET™ LED Light has three settings: high provides 3,000 lumens at 2+ hours, medium provides 1,700 lumens at 4+ hours, and low provides 900 lumens at 8 hours with a M18 REDLITHIUM™ XC5.0 Battery Pack (not included).
5 Second Setup, 7 Foot Extension.
3,000 Lumens of Multidirectional Light
Impact Resistant, Reinforced Legs
Built in M18™ Charger
Covered AC Plug-in
3 Independently Pivoting Light Heads
Protective Guard to Secure head and lens during transport and storage
Compact footprint, Low Center of gravity
Low Battery indicator
SPECIFICATIONS
High Mode: 3,000 Lumens - 2+ hrs
Low Mode: 900 Lumens - 8 hrs
Voltage: 18V
Length: 9"
Weight: 18 lbs
Height: 41.5"
Width: 9.5"
Tool Warranty: 5 Years

For comparison, the other light I'm talking about it described as having a "dual power source, m18 cordless or corded "

Also, the light has integrated AC power, so it can be run cordless or corded, and an integrated AC charger, so it charges your batteries while it is running with an alternate power supply. The charger was a feature that was missing in the original that left a lot of users scratching their heads, so it is good to see that Milwaukee is willing and able to revise a product so quickly to meet the demands of their customers. This is the first product in the Milwaukee lighting family that charges, and it features a color changing light in the base that alerts the user when using battery vs. AC power.

http://www.coptool.com/the-milwaukee-m18-rocket-tower-is-also-a-charger/#more-5647

Just curious, do you remember where you found that? I'd like to see more info on it.. I might have tried to get some of the rocket lights over the Pelicans I'm getting at work if they had made that more clear..

I copied from the link in my post and it was mentioned by the Milwaukee guy in the video in the review.

Those little keychain tapes are awesome. I take one everywhere. I ordered the 2866-22CT screwgun kit w/ rapid charger today. Pretty pumped for that.

Water transfer pump will be available later this month also

http://www.acmetools.com/shop/tools...filiate-_-SaS-_-1199618-_-655323743#topoftabs

If I deciphered the text correctly it should run continuous for approx 30 min on 5.0 ah battery

"pump moves water at up to 480 gallons per hour, generates up to 18 Ft. of lift and produces up to 75 Ft. of head height. As a part of the M18™ system of tools, it is powered by REDLITHIUM™ battery packs, which deliver up to 240 gallons moved per charge on a XC5.0 battery pack"

Looks like the -21 kit will comes with a 3.0XC battery for 144 gal transfer per charge

http://toolcraze.net/milwaukee-m18-transfer-pump-first-self-priming-cordless-transfer-pump/

I'm thinking this could be very useful for me on my own farm and with my job and especially coupled up to an ever bigger battery. I think its has some pretty impressive head and lift claims for something that weighs less than 10lbs. Every single week for almost half the year I haul a 3.5hp gas pump for remote water transfer which runs for maybe 30 min at a time probably a 6-8 ft suction lift with maybe a 8-10 ft head rise over a 100ft run. Plus its all necked down for a 3/4 garden hose out too. As it is it's big and its heavy to move especially when its full of full of water and it has to be reprimed each time if you drain it down to save weight for carrying it around.

Didnt know there was a M18 handheld vac coming or else I might not of gotten the M12 one. Looks like the shark/dyson products.

http://toolguyd.com/milwaukee-m18-hepa-cordless-vacuum-0882-20/

Good I complained to the company thru their FB site a while ago about how weak the M12 vac really is and suggested they should have a M18 version. About the only thing it can really pick up is some fine sawdust and easily clogs with small woodchips. They ought to give me money back. :D

I have the large M18 vac good tool but quite loud. Will drain down a 4.0 battery pretty quick though

Would be nice if that vac had wheels on it.

I agree with the lack of power on the M12. I use it to clean up around my guinea pig's cage which is just small wood shavings and hay pieces. It's not useful for much else.

If the M18 bare tool is $100 or less I will likely pick it up.

Gentlemen, how do Milwaukee pliers comore to Knipex?

Thanx!
Charlie

Yea, your basically comparing the top tier pliers with a decent home/semi pro line.. I have both brands and many of the Milwaukee's. Don't get me wrong, the Milwaukee's are good, but the Knipex is great..
I have many of Milwaukee's red and black handle versions, and many of the all red handled too.. The forged Milwaukee wire strippers are pretty excellent though. I haven't used them a ton, but they are Very well made and work great.. I use my Knipex stuff at work almost every day, and I can't ruin the diagonal cutters if I tried.

He stops short of saying the Milwaukee is his preference at the end because he's smart enough to know the **** storm that would cause, same as on this forum.

But the Knipex lovers need not feel threatened; TTBOMK Milwaukee no longer offers these better black & red handled linesman as shown in the video. I got a pair before they vanished. Of course I lay awake at night and wish I was elite enough to own Knipex (not really, that last part is just to keep the Knipex lynch mob at bay, but DO NOT tell them!!!!)

I never understood the obsession with the "notch" in the Knipex bolt cutters, I'm cutting a bunch of high tensile 12.5 gauge fence wire... holy ****, they are night and day difference between my usual go-to stuff for cutting wire.

The fit/finish of the Milwaukee is very good, I'd compare it to Channellock. Knipex though I think is in a league of their own yet.

I would recommend owning a pair before comparing.

I have the red and black Milwaukee lineman pliers, (2 pair actually), the red handled Milwaukee lineman, and the Knipex lineman with the crimper.. I'm a big milwaukke fan., but the Knipex is just a better plier.. I don't even pick up the Milwaukee at work anymore.. The cutters are great - in part cause the handles are very long. But the inward curve on the handles are a big issue. Milwaukee's newer version are much like the design of Klein. The old red and black diagonals are (I'd hate to say it) pretty bad. How they even made it to production with no tip on the cutter is beyond me.. The newer ones are much improved but I still don't really like the wide grips on them either.

Easy choice. (For me anyway). Get the searchlight.. I don't have the m12, basically cause you're buying a mag light that runs off the m12 platform.. I have plenty of mag lights. The search light is well worth the money, I have pics of it posted a page or two back.

The spot / flood feature is great, and you can set it on the ground and pivot the head to use it as a work light.. Unless you have a specific need for something small, (and in that case I'd say get the m12 stick light), I'd get the search light..

Decided to say screw it and picked up the Fuel Miter saw with two 9 amp batteries for $599. I've got just over 10 of the 5.0's but I want some of the 9.0's for when the string trimmer and new blower come out.

Anyone know when HD might get it in stores? I kinda want to look at it before buying, good thing deal runs to end of the year. Not sure if its gonna show up anytime soon as my stores just got the Dewalt Flex one in recently. Though they did have the Fuel nailers in stock at release date time.

OT, but I had a small area where I redoing the expansion joint.

Gotta love a sealant cutter blade on the Fein...
If you've ever done it by hand on removing good poly adhesion, you will appreciate the MM a million times more...when removing this task

Anyhow, figuered small task - I'll just use the manual gun. After using half of a 32 oz , I went back to Big Red Adhesive gun. So much better control as I'm not dealing with the trigger....joints even came out better before I tooled them, as all I had to focus on was controlling the tip while I let the gun do all the half the work for me..

I use to work for a marble and granite company that would wrap these huge mausoleums in polished stone. I would spend WEEKS caulking joints when we we finished part of the building. I never wanna use a caulk gun ever again.

I'm remodeling my kitchen and I cant believe how much easier it is with all of the cordless Milwaukee tools I'm using. Over the weekend we used the m18 skill saw, m18 4.5" grinder, m12 and m18 drills, 2 m12 1/4 impacts for wood and metal screws, m12 and m18 sawzalls...

Never tripped over or cut a cord, never had dead battery.

I think Rome could have been built in a day if they had cordless tools!

Big thanks to Dacan23 for letting me know Acme tools has the same deal as HD with the extra battery and has 10% off today. I didn't have to pay tax through them and saved about $100 total. $539 shipped to my door.

Ok I'm jealous.. I can't even begin to justify buying one though.. Like others stated its worth it for the batteries and charger alone..

Speaking of the 9.0 - the battery is on sale for $169

The kit with the circular saw and the one with the sawzall are great deals if you don't have the saws already. If I didn't have them I would probably grab both because it makes the saws almost free.

I figured with the sale price of $169 for a battery plus $199 for the battery and rapid charger I'm basically getting the miter saw for less than $170 with 2 blades after you factor in any taxes. Seems like a good deal even though I just bought the new 12" Ridgid miter saw. Cordless is always a plus for the smaller projects or when I'm helping buddies work on their places.

I can't wait for the string trimmer and blower. That's the main reason I want some 9.0 batteries. I'm still waiting to hear back from Milwaukee about the free rocket light though.

I know I should never look at this thread, just bought the circular saw, can't wait to see what the battery has as compared to the 5.0.

I spent a lot of money on my motorcycle this year.. Basically did everything I wanted to do to it. If I didn't do that I might have just ordered this new saw for the batteries.. But there's gotta be a point when I say "no".. This is it.. Lol
