Oh man...

I don't know whether to get a circular saw or sawzall

If you don't have a large collection, the sawzall is offered as a free tool in some other deals.. I have the 6.5" saw ( sawzall too) and although I don't use them much, it's very impressive.

The bare tool for the sawzall retails for $199
The saw $229 .. So the circular saw is the better buy considering

You basically get a 9.0 battery and charger for $20, or for free in you get the 10% off ( a $200 value itself)

I bought them both to flip to offset the cost of my new miter saw :eyecrazy: Figure the 9.0 will fetch $125-140 by itself, just had a guy ask me the other day if I had one for sale.

Crazy thing I ordered the 2797 V1 Fuel Kit for $250 last week, they must not exist anymore because they sent me a 2897....

Oh man...

I have to start finding the stuff I already own before I start buying more.. I will regret not buying one of these 9.0 kits probably.. I haven't seen my m12 stick light or m18 power source in months..

I ended up buying the miter saw. I have a 12" dewalt, but it's the lowest model and doesn't slide. 10% off plus no tax makes it worth it to have the 2 9.0 batteries. I also like having the ability to do jobs away from electricity or not dragging a cord around.

If I could time travel I would have bought the Milwaukee instead of the Bosch 12" Glide saw. I feel like I'm the only person in the world who doesn't really like it. :( I thought it was gonna be like my dream miter saw when I bought it and it just doesn't work that well to me. One of these days I need to dust it off and give it one more try top to bottom adjusting it. Right now it's just unused in a corner.

It would be nice to just throw an M18 battery in it and use it without having to unplug my fan or being able to cut while the washing machine is running...

Don't feel bad. I have a $1200 delta radial arm saw (paid $250 for it) that was only used to build 1 set of kitchen cabinet doors by the previous owner. I've had it for years now, and never even plugged it in.. I have a 16" bandsaw I've never used yet either..

Speaking on M12 stick light, I couldnt find a 2.0 battery in the garage so I put an XC in it tonight, it is useless with an XC battery hanging horizontally. It keeps popping out of the notch on the back slide and drops down. I really need some compact 3.0s, I sold all my extra 2.0s the past few months.

I haven't seen my m12 stick light or m18 power source in months..

Stu just got one and is testing it, posted a followup, in regards to power its constant power instead of a short peak of power.

http://toolguyd.com/milwaukee-m18-fuel-surge-hydraulic-driver-things-you-should-know/

Milwaukee has a new M18 brushless / hydraulic impact driver coming out. I guess it suppose to be like that stealth Ridgid model..

http://toolguyd.com/milwaukee-m18-fuel-surge-oil-impact-driver/

A little underwhelming at only 450 inch pounds of torque.. The fuel is 1800…. What's going on here?

I don't have any issues with mine and the old 3.0 packs.. I have 2 of the flat bottom 3.0 batteries and neither has given me an issue like that in any of my tools.

It sounds like this is a great alternative to the M12 screwdriver. Kind of halfway between the screwdriver and the impact.

Yea - I dunno. I can't see this selling well ESP since the new impact drivers are available with that programmable one key setting.. Does anyone really care about noise? I'd rather have the fuel impact driver if it were a choice between them I think..

It does look smooth though. I've seen vids of people stating how much the Ridgid vibrates.

Normal people? The general public? Probably not, unless they have young kids in the house who take naps or go to bed early.

However, I'm not normal, and I despise loud noises. Never fill my tires because all I have is a Harbor Freight compressor which is way, way, way, way too loud for me. Fortunately I can go to Discount Tire and have them do it for me. :rocker:

So I'm actually intrigued by the low noise factor. :D

There was an email this morning saying it was extended... I dont need temptation to order more of those saw/9.0 deals....

Looks like Acme tools is still running the deal today as well, despite it saying yesterday only.

What does everyone do with all their spare chargers? I've got an old M12, a new M18/M12 combo, and if I buy this saw kit like I want to that's a third. Ha.

I run them all. I think I've got 5 or 6 M12 chargers all on my cordless tool shelf.

I have at least two M12 chargers and two combo chargers.
I'm honestly not sure where the M12 ones are.
I have one combo in my tool box at work and the other is at home.

I have 3 combo chargers (two in the basement work area, one in the garage) and way too many M12 chargers. I keep one in the back hall to charge jacket batteries. The rest are stashed away in a box somewhere.

All my spares are sitting in a box somewhere.

All I use is the 6 bay rapid charger, and just keep one charger in a pullout shelf just in case....I need one.

Sell them or in case of M12s give them away. I have the 6 bay M18/M12 combo rapid charge station, keep 1 M18/M12 and 1 M12, plus the bluetooth radio charges M18s. I sell M18/M12 combos for $20-30, M12s Free - $15, Rapid M18/M12 $40-50.

Hmm I have at least two combos on my bench all the time, and sometimes add a third if I'm topping up a lot of batteries at one time like after a full work day. Then there's of one of each type for two different tool bags always ready to go to out to work with. An old M12 single resides on shelf on the other side of the garage above my vice and grinder bench near the overhead door. One charger I gave away to my GF along with a 1.5ah battery for 12v lantern she has that I gave her for gift. And for any others well they're all still in their respective storage cases doing nothing! :D

So are all the early 18v combo chargers the same and it's just certain batteries that can take a quicker charge, I have some 4.0 batteries with the lighting bolt on the top of case and some without.

Damn, if anyone is wanting to sell an M12/18 Rapid charger for $40-50, PM me. I'm not seeing anything in that ballpark on eBay.

If I end up with one soon I'll PM you.

Does anyone know what a good price is for the M12 two pack of the XC batteries?

Home Depot has is for $79 currently and I could really use them.

http://www.homedepot.com/p/Milwauke...-Capacity-Battery-2-Pack-48-11-2412/203630471

$79 is the best I've ever personally seen those. But they're 3.0's. With today's 3.0 compacts and 6.0 XC's it's hard to want those now. You might consider a 6.0 XC; theoretically same capacity as those two batteries put together for $10 more, but there are obviously other concerns like charge time, swapping batteries while one charges, etc

Interesting! I didn't know they made a 6.0 XC for the M12.

I've got an older 3/8 drill, 3/8 driver, and multitool and intend to pick up the cordless ratchet next time I see it on sale. I'll have to keep hunting for a good deal on M12 batteries. I'm making due with my two original batteries.

How's everyone like their 3/8" ratchets? The 2457-20 model. I bought a couple. thinking of keeping one of them.

Love mine. That was the first Milwaukee tool I ever bought actually

After about 2 years of hard weekend use I more or less wore the ratcheting mechanism out so it'd slip sometimes so I bought another one not too long ago
