If you are buying that M12 kit at Home Depot, call them up before hand and ask them if they accept competitor coupons. One of my local Home Depots will let me use Harbor Freight 20% off coupons. Used one to pick up my M18 Impact for like $30 less than sticker price, including the tax I paid on it.

I buy the same size for both, and I buy them in the same sizes I buy any of my other clothes. I could probably go with a large over the XL if I wanted a tighter fit, but comfort is more important to me, and I also need the extra arm length. I'm 5'10", and 185..

I've spent the last 2 winters working outside with a tank top, long sleeve shirt, Milwaukee jacket and Carhartt hat. The jacket does a great job of blocking the wind, and I've been out in sub zero temps with the wind chill. I'll only get a few days in the season I might need to wear something heavier.. I really like the new jacket. Material seems more durable than the previous models.

I think I'm going to grab the Surge at some point. I'll take my "noisy" impact home with me and keep the quiet one here at work.

I could use some more M18 batteries too but the kit would be $30 more expensive than buying the bare tool at $150 and a pair of 5.0 batts at $150. I'd get a charger for $30 that I don't need...unless it's the rapid charger but it doesn't look like it.

I guess maybe one of the other combos might of been a better choice since I don't have anything to really use the extra battery with yet haha.

Now on the hunt for a good drill/impact bit set.

Don't really know what "set" of bits/drills to recommend. I have had a few and up with bits a pieces all the time. Tried a cheap set of bit holders and adapters from TSC still have the socket adapters but the 3 bit holders wobbled so bad they all went in the trash can. I have an early Shockwave set and really do like the 1/4 shank Milwaukee branded bit holders and socket adapters they spin true and fit tight but the first generation of 1" bits totally sucked and the nut drivers that came with the kit weren't 1/4 drive shanked. The case isn't so great either nothing stays put under the snap down cover. So really I just buy one and two inch bits separate now as I need them for jobs and mostly just the ph2 and sq2. T25 bits come with the box of screws a lot of times.

Let us know what you get I'm always looking for new set.

Geez my buddy just gave me an almost complete set of HF warrior 1/4 shank bits he didn't want them See he buys the full set all the time but only uses two or three sizes and doesn't want the rest.

Bosch is supposed to have good bits and the Daredevil spades are a pretty good deal I guess

Yup, they're sure late. My corded hedge trimmer is more than 20 years old and on it's last legs. If the M18 isn't available in the spring, there's going to be something yellow in my garage too. I have a cordless Toro string trimmer, it's the old 12 volt one that has a SLA (Sealed Lead Acid) battery. It still works surprisingly well and I've had it close to 10 years. I have a corded Toro blower, I think I may have made a mistake when I bought it 2 years ago...

Little disappointed....was driving a 3/8" self tapping screw, then this happened. Set it in for warranty, got it back, then a week later it happened again driving a 1/2" bolt! What gives Milwaukee?

Milwaukee needs to make a cordless chainsaw soon after these come out.. Dewalt is on its 3rd or 4th I think... the only thing that ***** about the blowers, is that they dont actually **** up anything.. I'd be giving up the vac feature of my blower, or I'd have to keep both.. I dont need to start collecting cordless AND gas versions of outdoor tools - which you'd still need to do I guess if you want a leaf vac..

I just got the blower with a vac option last year. It's one of those things that makes u feel stupid for not doing earlier..

At least w previous gen stuff, I'm one size larger in the jacket than the hoodie. I don't know if the sizing has shifted w the present generation.

I bought a $65 tripod from Ohio tools for that 10,000 lumen floodlight I bought off Amazon. 150lb weight limit on the tripod and the tension clamp for the legs already broke in 2 days.. not happy about that. I'm just gonna try to glue it back together but I'm still annoyed.

Yeah, it's tough but very stiff. I do also like that the fabric doesn't seem to absorb cutting oil at the mill and just wipes down. But if you want to feel any heat out of it you gotta wear something over it. And it's built for a gut, so if you don't have one you get a duck ****

I have a 2XL heated sweatshirt I use under a jacket sometimes so people don't see how short the sleeves and torso are on me. Most people think being tall is so great until you ask them to find you clothes or shoes lol.

I was thinking surgery to shorten the arms, but using the arms from another jacket would work too.

It does chew through batteries, but it is really good. It's fantastic for a small spill in the kitchen or if you have to drill a couple of holes in drywall to put up a shelf.

Amen! A 2" grinder also.

Unrelated: I was using my Fuel 4.5" grinder today with cutting disc. I started with a 4.0 batt that reflected 2 bars. I was cutting thru a 3/4" bolt in an awkward location and the grinder just didn't have that much balls. I hit 1 bar pretty quickly, so maybe it was just barely at 2 bars when I started.

Anyway I threw on my new 9.0 battery and holy **** it made a difference. This is the first time I can say my Fuel grinder(s) felt almost like a corded grinder. I'm a believer in the big batteries for high-draw tools!
