Ok, I just ordered the newest m12 heated jacket, in XL black. Should be here in a couple days.. I need a bigger closet, this will be the 6th heated jacket or hoodie I'll own, including the one Dewalt heated hoodie I have.. Up next will be 2 of new 3.0 batteries...

I'll post a couple pics comparing the jackets from the last 3 years at some point if anyone is interested.. Maybe I'll even sell one..

No joke I looked up buying just the battery and charger.. It's $120 for 2 2600mah batteries and a basic wall charger.. At least the charger does both packs at the same time, but I think I'll pass...

I just called acme to find out. They said they would calk Milwaukee to find out when the next shipment is. I got a call back about 15 minutes later and they are supposed to be in Stock this Wednesday. So far an A+ for customer service!

So can anybody care to speculate on the shortcomings of the M12 vac

Investigating it the suction pull at the fan seems plenty strong enough.

Is it the pleated filter that's maybe restricting the airflow? Its not a HEPA right

I just don't understand why it doesn't perform better, when I asked Milwaukee about it they pretty much wrote it off as a working tool said it was just for small spot cleaning only (and told me to get the m18 which I had anyhow)

Cripes I vac my whole place with a little Dirt Devil vac.

I have had a 120vac $25 Dirt Devil for years that far outshines the 0850. Well at least it will pick up all the gravel on the floor my boots leave behind.

The DD rating isn't much it's only 1.25 amps and also has the same rubber "flap" to close off the storage compartment just like on the Milwaukee. Overall it about the same size and also 1 1/4" tube

Its filter is more like a cloth bag though. I never felt that vac failed me for what it is


So as far as I know the 8050 doesn't offer different filter options. I have never used a 4.0 ah battery with it. I cant really see it making a big difference but maybe I'm wrong about that.

I can get a great deal on this kit in bulk if anyone is interested. I'm thinking about it, but it's a lot of money for several of them. I want one for me, will have several left. Speaking of Fuel, I spent the last two days doing some automotive work, in the process of replacing a radiator and timing chain cover gaskets. The chain covers, both upper and lower, as well as valve cover, are held on with an abundance of fasteners. This is really the first good workout I've put my 2454 and M12 ratchet through, since purchasing them. When I got them, I was skeptical, and actually thought about selling them. But after this job, I'm sold - the gain in efficiency just can't be ignored, even for a DIY like myself.

I have some old Milwaukee drills and sawzal. The super old girl is a d handle, and it has a fair amount of sparking in the arbor, which adds to its charm. I still use all of them. The large drill will break your arm clean off of your body if it gets caught drilling metal. I spent $20 on each of them, but the D handle was only $10.

The new 9.0 18v battery's are $169 @ home depot currently, while this is the cheapest I have found online currently (other than secondary) I think as we get closer to the holidays we will see better deals hopefully.

The cheapest I can ever envision seeing the 9.0 is $150 by itself, but unlikely. While a 2nd 9.0 might be a regular promo on the $500+ tools/kits, you will never see deals like the circular saw or sawzall one currently. Plus the 9.0 deals now are flying off the shelf and backordered. The 9.0 is priced comparable to the 5.0 and promos on that havent changed over the years. Look for $130-150 CL prices till end of the year and perhaps it will settle at $125 when demand comes down.

I do keep thinking what the holiday promos might be, with the M18 2897 and M12 2597 price cuts who knows, plus they have been heavily clearing out all the non Fuel 2-4 tool combo kits. Perhaps new kit configs are coming out. I hope its different than the $100/150 promo or free M12 basic tools. I really want deals on M12 3.0s.

Keep in mind, for anyone looking to get the 9.0 - they are advertised as having twice the runtime as the 5.0 packs. Newer design is suppose the enable the cells to run cooler and therefore longer..

Here's my collection. I've been following this thread for a few months and didn't wanna sit on the side lines any longer ha. I'm just a hobbyist/DIYer, but I'm a sucker for power and quality.

Milwaukee sent me a 9.0 (for fun?) a few weeks ago, and I'll tell you, it's the real deal. Made a very noticeable difference on the Sawzall over the 5.0s. For that reason, I'm looking to take advantage of the circ saw/9.0 combo to add to the arsenal. This battery is the answer to the higher demand tools and high output lighting as far as I'm concerned. However, I'm still not sold on cordless angle grinders...I feel like the kinda grinding I run into sometimes would just beat the heck outta the batteries...might be nice just to have though. Kinda pricey, however.

I also really like the locking pliers/c-clamps. They're noticeably better than my offshore Irwin ones, and they're roughly the same price. Gonna pick up a few of the 11" swivel ones for welding/metal fab.

Would also love an M18 headlamp...I might make one if they don't come out with one. Cheap Amazon 12v floodlight + M18 power source + cheap headlamp (retrofit floodlight COB LED/transformer) = presto. I've already powered some floodlights with an M18 power source, so I know it'll work. The retrofitting will be the tricky part. Will be nice for working on the car though.

I got the fan as a gift last Christmas...it's awesome and really nice to have. My only complaint is that the 120vac-18vdc transformer isn't incorporated into the fan, like a few other their other AC/DC lights. If it were like that, it'd be 10/10. Oh yeah, and the 9.0 just barely picks it up off its feet...I'll probably end up making a little base spacer to ensure that there's full ground clearance with the 9.0 on there.

I am NOT spending $50 on the Milwaukee base layer shirts.. It's a friggin shirt, and for $100 you can get heated hoodies.. Why is that thing so expensive? And when the **** is Milwaukee gonna make red and black safety sunglasses?????????????? Jesus, even Carhartt has sunglasses..

The Milwaukee plastic ones seem nice, but only 2" or 4", everytime I play with them in HD I almost buy them. Not for heavy duty stuff but a good alternative to those plastic lobster claw type clamps.

I absolutely agree with you. Fan-boy aside, they really are nicer. Finish/feel/tolerances/slop (well lack thereof)/tightening mechanism...simply better. And easy to get locally pretty much everywhere.

The fan definitely moves some air. An infinitely variable knob would be pretty cool, but I find the 3 settings to be fine. I love how the fan head has downward detent positions.

Safety glasses would be great...seems like a no brainer for them to make.

Picked up the M12 FUEL circular saw a few weeks back for $75. It looked new. Some dude was selling in on Facebook online garage sale. I felt that was a very fair price. So far, I really like it. Plenty of power for dicking around the garage.
