KC.... I tried on the new jacket in HD again, was 2nd time, but really paid attention this time lol. I also hate it for all the reasons you give; too long on waist, arms too long, material is eh, just didnt feel comfy, plus the XL felt smaller than the old XL. Agree Milwaukee has screwed up a good prior product.

Just got back from Home Depot with the 2130 stand light with a 5.0 starter kit on the $200 off combo for 182 before tax. There was also a rep there who threw in an extra 2.0 battery and drill kit, perfect timing. Considering I paid less than the price of the batteries for everything I would say I got a good deal.

I hear the best storage point is 60% charged. I always bring mine in for the winter, the batteries work better when they're warm. So if I need to do something outside or in the garage then I just take what I need with me.

Funny though how their price before clearance is $354.99 when its always been $329 and still is listed for that most everywhere else. (even the new 2754-22 kit with 5.0 is only $329 too).

None the less with al the discount is still a great price @ $220

Where is the best place to get a great price on a 2897-22 kit? Seems like Acme Tools with a free sawzall. Batteries can be had cheaper elsewhere.

Well, no VETSDAY11 code for the 1/2" Fuel impact 2763-20. Anyone have any good leads on a good deal for the bare tool?

So far Zoro 20% off coupon is about the best so far, even with the jacked up price on their site.

$141.98+tax at home depot when you pair it with the drill combo and return it. I've been tempted to do the same to get the m18 deep cut band saw bare tool.

I spotted that, but really don't have the extra $350 to have ******* in return limbo with Home Depot (plus tax versus ordering online).

It probably expired but the CPO VETSDAY11 worked on the 2897 with the free sawzall, grinder, or 5.0s, brought it to 355 with the freebies. I feel on BF or CM, the 2897 freebie deal will be 350 lots of places.

Luck... I feel like these crazy deals I get find me... If I wish for a tool hard enough I find a deal I am happy with. Buyers already for Fuel Sawzall and Dewalt Circular, Flexvolt no comment what I am doing with that... make money and free Fuel Band Saw in the end.

It is always best to store your batteries fully charged, BUT do not leave them on the charge continuously, day after day, week after week. You can plug the charger into a cheap mechanical lamp timer and only let it charge for about an hour a day.

Lithium-ion batteries hold their charge for a very long time, weeks after they were taken off of the charger. Cold storage will not hurt them, but the run-time will be affected.

Question for you guys that own the M12 FUEL drill or impact driver. I'm looking to buy my girlfriends sister a drill driver as a housewarming gift. She just moved out to some property in a house that needs some fixing up. I bought her dad the M18 FUEL drill driver set last Christmas and now her whole family all borrow them and love those tools. I'm leaning towards the M12 for her though because she's tiny (5'3" <130lbs) though still a real hard worker. I love all the M12 stuff I've got and I already got her a heated hoodie so she's got a charger and a few batteries. I think that being smaller and lighter while still powerful the M12 would be a good choice, however I really can't verify myself as I don't own the M12 FUEL drill or even the M18 FUEL drill. My 18V drill driver are Bosch. She's putting up a lot of fencing right now but after that I think the work will mostly be interior.

IMHO I feel the handle/grip on 12v Fuels are slightly fatter than either the 18volts or the brushed 12v tools. I noticed the difference right away. when I started on the M12 fuel line. Its not much of a difference but I actually find the brushed 12v and either 18v line slightly more comfortable for a smaller hand.

So I'm also thinking a 18v brushless compact kit might be a great compromise in size, weight, and power. But the fit and finish of the brushed 3/8 drill, impact driver and 2 speed screwdriver is nothing to overlook either, and could probably get all 3 tools for the price of 2 pc fuel combo too



Still since your building on the 12v line you cant really go wrong with the M12 Fuels from any performance standpoint. The drill is a real powerhouse plus 1/2 chuck but also I favor the hex screwdriver for balance, it has same body as the drill just shorter.

And of course I like ALL of the 12v Fuel impacts as well :D

I have two standard batteries and two 5.0 as well, one being in the radio, which was probably my best purchase since it's used 24/7 literally by me and my co workers throughout the week
