You must have one [emoji848][emoji848] Every tech I see with that bag is fresh into his first year of Tech. School or the company bought it for them......Has 2 shoulder straps, could and does carry books, makes a grown man look like an 19 year old college kid yep [emoji106] it's a book bag.

Not sure where I should ask this. I need a cordless ratchet, home & shop use, & this fits the bill. I've searched and I don't have enough knowledge of these to make a clear decision. Is this a screaming deal or average retail on this. Thanks again. SL.[/QUOT

My first foray into Milwaukee cordless... my good ol' Sawzall was getting lonely :D They're not the Fuel versions- but I'm not a GC or anything, they're just for home use.

That's the 2606 drill and 2656 impact?

I'd like to find a cordless replacement for my 90deg 1/4 collet air die grinder.

I mostly use it for rolocs and carbide burrs.

Does Milwaukee have anything that fits the bill? It would be nice if it were about the size of my m12 3/8 ratchet, but m18 would be fine. ~20k spindle speed would be ideal.

The best you're likely to do is the 2438 sander/polisher at 8200 RPM. And it's pistol grip like a drill. I use mine w 3" Rolocs, LOVE IT. Had to do a little trickery to adapt a 3" backing pad but easy. The additional surface speed of 3" vs 2" makes a big difference. Best w the new 6.0 XC's, at least for production work

That's correct! I know they're a bit last-week, but they seem to be solid tools.

Not last week at all!

Just curiosity on my part.

What great about that kit is that has been updated to included the newest brushed versions of both tools.

We discussed this kit a while back on here. Originally under that part # you once got a 2601 drill and 2650 impact driver. And some places online still list it that way.

I have both the 2607 (hammer drill option) and the 2657 impact driver (2 speed option). Like them both a lot. My general everyday 18volt tools used for my job.

Now go drive a few 3.5" screws with impact driver and bore a few holes with that drill!

Yup some very fine tools. :D

The searchlights showed up at the local Rural King-- (2354-20)

And they had them at a lower price.

I been having a Snap On CT8850 and haven't been satisfied. I just acquired M18 2763-20 and a battery XC5.0. I'm really impressed with the Milwaukee. One battery will not cut it for me. So my question is, will a different Amp Hour rated battery affect torque output?

Any of you guys with the searchlight get a strap with it? I thought it came with a shoulder strap and there are spots on the light to mount one but I didn't get one in the box.

That's cool. Even with shipping would be $92.18 for me on their website. Presently backordered but will still let you order it appears. Better than $99 at HD if you're not in a hurry.

Strap only comes with kit not the bare light.

Says M18 Fuel Blower is only 100MPH... dont know if its a replacement for my Husqvarna 50cc backpack. Pricing is weird, who knows actual when released. Wacker kit w/ 9.0 is $100 more than bare tool, blower is $120 more, hedge is $130 more.... doesnt make sense.

Fuel Blower - $149
http://www.acmetools.com/shop/tools/milwaukee-2728-20
Fuel Weed Wacker - $199
http://www.acmetools.com/shop/tools/milwaukee-2725-20
Fuel Hedge Trimmer - $169
http://www.acmetools.com/shop/tools/milwaukee-2726-20

Wonder what is model 2727-20..... perhaps something they held back from release this cycle... chainsaw!?!?!? pole saw!?!??!

I don't think I'll be getting any of the outdoor stuff.. all my gas equipment has been pretty good to me so far, and I have electric hedge trimmers that I'm lucky if if I use once a year..

This is one area Dewalt definitely had a jump on Milwaukee.. if this stuff doesn't compete with their 40v line then it's not even worth doing IMO.. HD had a deal of the day today for the Dewalt 20v string trimmer, and larger blower with a battery for $249.. they had the same deal with the EGO string trimmer and blower with a 56v battery and charger for the same price..

Blower price is ok if its more powerful than stated 100mph, wacker is overpriced, hedge trimmer too. They should all be $150 or less.

Alright - we'll just to compare blowers, I believe the CFM rating is more important than the mph, but I'm not 100% on that..

Anyway to compare the Milwaukee fuel to the Dewalt 40v (not the 80v backpack blower)

The m18 is rated at 100mph, and 450cfm. (Ego 56v is 250cfm, and 550 com on "turbo")
The 40v Dewalt is 120, and 400cfm..

So there might be a good race here yet....

I found a perfect job for my 2780 Fuel grinder.

Bought the grinder 1st of October for $119 out the door, but realized that I seldom used it. In the shop I would grab a Milwaukee 6153 (4.5" 11,500RPM 12 Amp) or a Metobo W24-230 9" because of the faster grinding. In the field I usually have a portable welder running when I need a grinder and once again was using the corded grinders. I found nothing wrong with the Fuel, just always went for more power and speed.

I put a 5" Norton cutoff wheel on the Fuel and found I had discovered gold! This thing is has handy as a pocket knife. I now find that I grab it for something almost every day.

So it has more force than speed, higher hopes now as my Husq 350BT is 500cfm and 180mph.

Here's my day so far...

Acme 20% off: Surge
Acme $20 off $100 in Milwaukee: New M18 vacuum + a tape measure to get over $100

Now the question, should I get the M12 flashlight & knife deal? When I first saw the flashlight I thought it was kinda big. I've got a ton of other hand held lights so it's not really "needed" per say. Decisions decisions...

I got mine with the 15% off coupon a couple weeks ago at Acme. I had no idea they would do 20%. I guess i should have waited.

It's an addiction, a need, not a want
