I just left a HD in Bridgewater NJ (I think) with the promo kit for the older rocket light w/ free battery and charger.

Have to say thanks to Patrick the Milwaukee Rep in that store.. he knocked $50 off the price of the kit that rang up for $249 in that store (another heavy duty HD location) to match the $199 price the kit is selling for in stores that normally dont sell that model of light. I think we spent about 30 minutes talking about Milwaukee Tools. I think he was a bit shocked about how much I knew about them lol..

Anyway, told him my little idea - and he took down my info and said he was gonna try to find someone to pass it along to. Also pointed out that I've never seen a Milwaukee Rep visit this site before.. showed him the Milwaukee thread with over 800,000 views now, showed him all the pics posted a page back by me and Frontierajl (cause they were the closest ones) and explained how we're all in here pressuring each other to buy Milwaukee stuff (and providing free advertising) - so he wrote down the site name to pass on too..

Was a real nice guy - glad I wound up in a store I've never been in before today.

That's awesome, always good to hear about good customer service experiences like that.
I really do think this forum, and I'm sure others but mainly this one haha, push people to get things they may not have otherwise. If nothing else it alerts them when there are deals on Milwaukee stuff they may have been waiting to purchase and the deal pushes them over the edge.

I have the jobsite tech bag. Its the same durable quality as the backpack but much bigger, I think you could fit the empty backpack in the main compartment. Almost feel if you had it fully loaded it would be to heavy to carry and use wheels.

I own the jobsite back pack and its absolutely awesome for taking tools on my track events, so im expecting this bag to be great as well.

I have no idea if this is everywhere, or just in NJ. Costco sells a Feit LED Retrofit kit for 5 & 6" recessed lights. They are normally $16.99 for a 2 pack, which isn't bad to begin with. I just got back from there - there is an instant utility rebate of $14.00! No posted limit of how many you can buy. So that's $2.99 for each two pack of these ($1.50 each unit for the slow students)

only catch is you have to pay the tax on the full price, before the rebate - but that's a pretty insane deal if you ask me.. I just bought a case of 16 pieces for something like $25... more than I need, but I'll have spares.. if anyone has been thinking about em, I suggest you go now. There were only a few cases left on the floor at my store in Hazlet, NJ..

Anybody ever used the gloves? Sizing? In the past 've purchased the same size in both Hardy Pro and padded mechanics and in Mechanix M-Pact and Fast Fits.


I didn't even know Milwaukee had others gloves besides the Demolition ones.

The demo gloves are the best work gloves I've ever bought.. I used to buy the "Industrial" mechanix gloves for $32/pr at lowes.. I'd be lucky if they lasted a month before the seems split ON EVERY PAIR I EVER BOUGHT.

made it 9 months on my first pair of demos before I lost them at work, and not one rip or split seem yet.. I'm on my second pair for work, and they have been exactly the same so far.. they will EVENTUALLY have some holes worn in them, but all the parts that take abuse have two layers or material and the stitching hasn't broke on any of mine..

These are my 9 month old gloves a few days before I lost them.. lol

Edit - I just happen to have these next to me.. these are the Mechanix Impact Pro's.. their most expensive model sold at lowes - and this is what you can expect from them. The index finger, thumb, and "crotch" between them are all ripped open from the stitching failing.. this ihas happened to every pair I've ever bought, and I've gone through a lot.. you can see they are not nearly as worn..

I wear a large in both models.. the Milwaukee large stated out just slightly big on me, but they actually shrunk a little and are a perfect fit after they get worn in (if that makes any sense) washing them in hot water in the machine seemed like it might have helped on the 2nd pair I have now when they were brand new. But both pair of Milwaukee no longer felt a little big after using them a while.. I believe the mechainx gloves started out just a little tight and then would wear into a good fit.

Bonus info - the Milwaukee demo gloves have a "smart swipe" knuckle on the index finger. Thought being it'll be cleaner and less lightly to have something that would scratch your phone or tablets screen then a fingertip.. on the back of the hand, there is a patch of terry cloth that's designed so you can wipe the sweat off your face with the glove, and have an small absorbent surface.. you can see the edge of the terry cloth on the back of the thumb in my first pic..

Good to hear. A lot of people say Mechanix stitching gives out easily (so far mine haven't but they not been that abused yet.

For some reason the XL's are on sale but not the size I need.

I also have a pair like these Tru Grip utility's but they are the "PLUS" version, they have touch screen tips on the index fingers and thumbs. They run tight I have next size up than I normally wear.

My Milwaukee Demo gloves are going strong too. Most of the little ribbed nubbin stuff on the fingers are gone (like yours) but that's really the only wear on them. Great gloves.

How do you like the 60? I hear it's heavy duty, but i haven't had a chance to look at it in person yet.
I could see myself ditching my craftsman 26 for a 46, then later a 60, but i'm torn between these and HF boxes.

There's an offer on over here to get an 18V fuel drill, 18V fuel impact driver and a 12V jacketed 2 5AH batts for $620USD which is a pretty good price here.

I needed to get some new batteries anyway and have fancied a jacket for a while but it's hard to know if it's any good or not, no where seem to has one in stock which you can try on either, so it's all mail order and guessing the sizing.

I got a heated sweatshirt, not a jacket. Cpo has a deal, but the heated sweatshirt, get a free battery, 99$. The only complaint I have is the battery pocket looks like a tumor on your left side. Comfortable though.

Mrs. JWH bought a couch and loveseat. They were delivered today. Delivery guys had to take some of the feet off to make it into the living room. They used a Milwaukee M12 driver.

I remarked to the guys "nice choice in tools." One of the guys said "yeah that's my 4th one." So immediately I think "how the heck did you manage to break 3 of these?"

Turns out that the first three got left behind at other deliveries. When he went back trying to retrieve them all 3 places said they didn't know where they were.

I would recommend it, although I would love to try the jacket. The sweatshirt is really thick like the type that has a thermal lining in it. Like I said, the funny looking pocket is the only downside. If they put it on the inside of the hoodie I don't think it would be so unsightly.

First one was like a Carhartt brown color Milwaukee called it Khaki. Got seriously snagged and torn up after only a couple of weeks of use on the job Was very comfy to wear but not very strong cotton fabric. The second one is Realtree camo is more ripstop, polyester shell but hate the hillbilly look

Cant really complain to much though since it was free warranty replacement

If you really want a jacket, I suggest last year's model over the new ones.. bought the new, returned them and still use the old.. imo last year's are better and warmer. It the grey and black model, model number 2394.. you'd have to find it online somewhere else though.

They are about 80-85% full, but I keep my stuff organized and dont cram the drawers full, and I dont keep power tools in them. A 4x6 bakers rack has my M12 & M18 collection of bags and cases.

That paper towel holder in from HF but it only holds the regular size rolls circa 1980, the big rolls I get from BJs fit but wont spin so it gets yanked all over the place. Oh and on the side of the 60 is the mag glove holder from HF which is way to big for the disposable glove boxes sold at HF.... wtf

The 60 work bench is awesome. I wish the drawer configs were different though, more extra long drawers and deeper ones. But my friend rather have more small thin drawers. But my 1/2 250lb torque wrench will not fit in any drawer on the 30s, only the full width drawer on the 46 or one of the top 2 drawers on the 60. One thing I am gonna do is get 2 swivel casters from Milwaukee and swap the center ones on the 60 cause its a pain to move, my friend put the fixed ones on an end instead.

These racks are now behind the tool box row, unfortunately its not my complete wheel collection, though if I sold a few leftover tires and completed refinishing some rims which have new tires on the racks waiting to be mounted, then they might all fit.

Got these racks from walmart.com shipped for $119 plus tax, they are on sale at Lowes now for $159, Edsal 2000lbs a shelf, though first delivery of 2 came very damaged managed to piece together 1 good rack, replacement box was slightly less damaged and luckily pieces were ok.
