Not sure where you're going with this.. there's basically only 2 items of "ppe" power tool companies produce - gloves and glasses.. Milwaukee's demo gloves are already some of the best available, safety sun glasses are not a great feat of engineering to overcome, especially when they are likely just designed for esthetics and then ordered from an established manufacturer. With the "juice" Milwaukee has flowing right now, they can charge $100 for a flashlight and people buy em up cause of the brand. A $15 pair of sunglasses will go nicely with my Milwaukee gloves.

I want Milwaukee glasses so I can stop buying them from carhartt or dewalt.

Not to mention it already looks like I'm holding a friggin Milwaukee event in my driveway every other day when I'm outside working on my truck. The other night a neighbor drove by while it was getting dark out and yelled "when's the light tower coming out?"




Anyway - anyone else see that all electric ride on mower Ryobi came out with?? Would sure look nice in red.. Tell me this thing ain't cool.. and you guys are drooling over a weed wacker.. lol

I wish Milwaukee would make a lower price caulk gun.. I could of used it to put down a few sealants.. Ryobi seems to always offer it..

nevertheless I added the M12 work light about a month ago I like it

As for me I always thought a small inverter be all anyone would probably need but obviously its an additional piece in the hookup. And just figured that it may serve some additional purpose at some other point.

The M12 is what I often use most often anyways and I was in the WallyWorld the other day and seen 140w DC inverter for $10 seems like that would suffice for doing the M12 alone since it states only uses 750MA. Obviously the dual voltage charger needs 300 W to handle the rated 2.1 A.

I wonder now though if the M12 connection on a dual charger draws less though :dunno:

Okay as much I would maybe like to get the M12 under hood light sometime the proposed $200+ price tag set in motion for me to jerry rig the $69 M12 Rover light this afternoon. :D

So I bent up a U shaped hook from a piece of 1/8" steel rod. What we use for plant hangers down at the greenhouse and slid it behind the spring loaded grab handle. Had no problem hooking it into any two of the slots under the hood and even set slightly off center still lit up the whole engine compartment

Coincidently its also held by the magnets as well, as it crosses over them which also keeps it from rotating around any. Well it finally got dark enough tonight to try it out. More than enough light on all 3 settings but especially on the two higher ones. Just checked and they are 1000/400/200 lumens and Milwaukee claims 3.5, 7.5, and 15 hrs run times respectively using the 4.0 XC M12 battery.

So I'm good under the hood right now...for at least on this one anyway! :thumbup:

I saw that, but i need my charger to be mobile in most cases. I am going to try and keep it right where its at in the pic because i don't want this box jammed full of stuff. It's already surprisingly heavy. I really am pleased with the box tho, one of Milwaukee's videos implied it was made by Suncast in USA, which I'm happy about.

I bought some of those to organize home Renovation tools into catagories. Main tools, plumbing, paint etc. You can store 2 drills, 2 impacts, batteries, charger, 2-24" levels in the lid and bunch of other stuff. And it seal pretty damn good, left one in the back of the truck when I bought em and it stormed pretty good. No water inside.

How does the new Milwaukee Fuel Blower 2728-20 to the 0884-20 Compact Blower. I own the compact model and like it but I'm curious if the new blower has enough additional power to justify purchasing one. I searched and was not able to locate any head to head comparisons. Thanks!

BCFasteners has a special on the -21HD OPE, they're including a second 9.0 battery free. And they sent me a battery for the hedge trimmer I bought last month before the special started.

I tried the blower with my handiest battery, a 4.0 that I knew was charged. There's not much to clean up around yet, but I'd say this is at least the equal of my corded Toro. I'm impressed.

And I ordered the mid-torque impact y'all are raving about. I tried it on a lug nut, zipped it off. This thing is a much nicer size than the 2763, I think that will remain parked in the toolbox unless this one isn't strong enough.

That's the same piece of grass in the background that's in my pics from March 29, post 8087. No mowing, no fertilizer.

Great deal on all those 9.0 batteries. I used one in my water pump yesterday ran for 30 minutes straight pushing water full flow thru 100 ft of garden hose and up hill for maybe be a 10 ft head still showed 2 bars when I shut it off.

I'm jealous of the mid torque, thought its on my short list :D

I've been waiting for a good sale. The cheapest i can find the mid-torque impact is $189. Anyone know of any good deals?

My local independent hardware store has a deal where you buy 2 bare tools (mid-torque for $189 is one example, 2763 high torque for $219 is another) and get a 9.0 battery, dual charger and big tool bag for "free". I doubt you'll find the tool itself any cheaper than that, but you can generally get more "free" stuff with it depending on the deal of the day.

I'm leaning toward the mid-torque, but wish they made it in a 3/8 drive so it would be much more useful for me. My 3/8 pneumatic impact is rated for roughly the same torque and does not twist the head off, so I can't see that being a "real" reason. I bet the 3/8" would sell better than a 1/2" version.

Agreed, really wish it was AC/DC. I'm not too keen on using an inverter with the regular multi charger. Something about going from DC to crappy AC back to DC again doesn't scream efficient.

Thinking about taking one apart to see if it's simple enough to "add in" a 12v plug.

With my new M18 Rocket light fully collapsed and even with the battery removed, the bag will not fit over the light! It is fully seated in the bottom of the bag, and I have pulled hard enough that I thought I would damage the carrying bag but it simply won't fit. IMOHO that bag was manufactured about an inch too short. Even standing it up and shaking, pulling and stretching it's a no-go. Tried it with zips up and zips down, nothing seems to help.

Kinda like watching your size 12 gf trying to get into size 3 jeans, not gonna happen.

Anyone else having this issue with the M18 Rocket light and carrying bag?

I just bought a Milwaukee hammer drill kit with One-Key. That's a damned nice feature; being able to program the drill to function however I want. Perfect for those computer and automotive builds where you really want a constant speed, but can't make a drill press work for the task.

Wanted to go Panasonic or Metabo for tip-top quality, but Milwaukee seduced me with their broad M18 product line, and I picked up a string trimmer as well. Now everything I've got can use the same batteries as I build into a set.

So, it was One-Key and the vast compatible product line that turned my coat. Hopefully I like the drill. Nobody in my area has them in stock. Quality comes first usually, but convenience is important, as well; and I really love cordless outdoor tools.

It'll be nice if Milwaukee holds up over the years. I got a long run out of my previous unit.

The friction ring broke on my 3/8" FUEL impact. I seem to remember somebody posting a link to replacement rings. Does anybody have that handy?

It's not worth sending in for that. That's a pretty common thing to break on impacts according to the pros. I think I had posted a link for it, but just google the impacts model number "Milwaukee 6969 impact wrench parts" or "....... friction ring". Something will come up, probably from greatlake power or whatever their name is.. Milwaukee prob has the part number listed on their site, and you can just google that as well..

Watch some vids online for install, it seems pretty easy from what I remember.. waiting for a warranty repair will prob take a few weeks.

you can use any of the friction rings the tool trucks sell, you dont have to use the milwaukee one to replace it. there usually a couple of dollars off the trucks and there are 3 in 1 pack

It only took a week and a half for mine when it went in for warranty replacement of the ring. And it was free.

Cords and I don't get along.....I keep fighting w the one on my Central Tools under hood light. I'll likely pay full retail as soon as the Milwaukee is released.

Maybe the internal search engine is different under the specific brand so represents a tighter inventory control and drops the part # when its out of stock.


For the sake of conversation I can say back when I was assembly line supervisor finish and ship in the electronic component industry it seemed like we had different inventories with in house computer searches. :p

The front line CS department would constantly take on orders on whatever product we could produce by catalog spec and move them thru the line. And I would get them dropped daily into the in box on my desk. I would flip thru them knowing full well what I had on hand in stock both at the department level and in warehouse stock. :eyecrazy:

Not a very good way to do good business either to back order in this era of immediate customer satisfaction. Obviously if when retailer doesn't have stock a purchase will more often than not will be transacted thru another vendor that can supply the inventory quickly.



I also often come across weird stuff when searching deals.

Maybe a certain sale price offer will be the connecting link when you web search a part number or a cookie sidebar add on that comes up but when click on the link and go to direct the site the price is different. :willy_nil
