Please report back with this as im really interested in getting one but cant find much for reviews

I love mine. I'm pretty much all M18, bit M12 for Prepex and the Adhesive gun. I have it setup for sausage tubes (clear barrel) primarily. It's AHMAZING as all I do is just focus on the *work* and not have to think about trigger pull pressure, etc.

I chose M12 as I wanted the lighter weight for this tool application.

Anybody use Torch blades? I cut off some 8 ft T posts down to 6 ft today using a Diablo demolition blade in my hackzall cleaned the teeth right off on just one post. I could have used my cheapie Chinese blades and got the same result

These things really need adjustable shoe plates


Anyhow got one of the 4.5 steelhead cutoff blades too from ACME too for just $14.99 That's a great price original list was like $34. Anybody else using them yet? Supposed to out last dozens of reg. cut off wheels

I've run into more than a few T posts that were Hardened, they quickly shredded the teeth off of various brands Sawzall blades. Had to finally get carbide toothed blade or go with an abrasive cutoff tool.

I had a vendor get 100 of the Milwaukee torch sawzall blades. 6" and 9". They are definitely better than the diablo blades if you don't get the thin kerf model. They are much thicker than other blades so they don't bend, and have cut through anything I've asked.

FINALLY! got to jump on the Mil bandwagon, purchased the 2691-22P M18 drill/ hex impact kit from HD today for $169.99 Their site says $199.99. Probably better deals somewhere but I was glad to get it.

You'll like it. We got it with both size tube adapters. It works good but the auto reverse when you let off the trigger gets annoying. We use it when we cut alot of ground loops and have to seal em. I use my regular caulk guns for small stuff

got a question for you Milwaukee guys.. got my first set of Milwaukee tools, a fuel impact and a 2704 fuel hammer drill... i was extremely excited until i noticed the drill had a bunch of wobble, not extremely bad but enough with an 8" bit adapter i can't put a screw into wood because the wobble is much more pronounced at that length. i love the drill in every other way. so my question is, how is milwaukee with actually repairing things like these? i've been reading up on a bunch of people that send theirs in, and milwaukee says "it's fixed" but they get it back and nothing is solved... but then again you are more likely to post a bad experience online than a good one, so how much truth to that? do they usually do a pretty good job on getting your tool straight?

Ordered the M18/M12 speaker from Zoro for $122, surely a promo will come out when I get it for free M12 6.0 at $149 price. Also saw the M12 speaker somewhere for $39 but dont know where now. Might pick up another one if it goes cheaper, as wife/kids started using my M12 after breaking some other bluetooth speaker we had, would be nice to have a spare lol

I used my 2438 on low to lightly polish up my MTB rotor after new pads. Seems to work well. I'll just do the backside w a hand pad.

The rotor is riveted to the hub?

What if you bend a rotor? That's pretty weird. All my bikes have torx screws holding the rotor on.

You are having problems finding an answer because Milwaukee tools are that good. I don't know why you would think everyone would keep buying Milwaukee if they didn't fix things. Sent a sawzall in, had it back in a week. I didn't have to talk to anyone either. Go online, fill out the form, if it is under warranty make sure that box is checked, print the pre-paid fedex label. send the tool off & wait several days, get tool back. DONE.

$38 for shipping, would probably make me keep it. ouch. I want to guess you didn't buy it from an Authorized Milwaukee vendor?

If it was defective from the vendor, they should be eating that shipping cost, especially if it is an Authorized Milwaukee shop. Most of that is drop shipped direct from a Milwaukee warehouse. If the vendor wont eat the cost, then I might consider calling Milwaukee to see if they will send you a new one (and send the bad one back).

One might also consider, you will be having an American service your tool , rather than the Chinese assembly line that built it (though I can't complain on any of my tools)

i went through tools plus outlet... they're listed as a vendor on milwaukees site. it's in their return policy that you pay shipping back, or you repair at milwaukee under warranty. wish i would have read their return policy better but i guess it is what it is. i'll have to call milwaukee in the morning and see if they'd be willing to send a new one over the repair. i suppose whatever they say they want to do is what i'll have to do. thanks for your help

What is the vibration like the Milwaukee trimmer? I have an Echo 225 straight trimmer and when I am done using it, my hand shakes slightly. The 225 doesn't feel bad when I use it, but was hoping an electric motor would be better.

I haven't noticed much vibration. I will say after a few hours of running my arms were a little tired as the unit has a bit of weight to it. I was expecting it to be significantly lighter than a gas trimmer but I feel like the weight is pretty comparable.

It is much smoother than I was expecting. I used mine for 45 minutes non-stop last night (using a single 9.0 battery!) and did not notice any fatigue or soreness.

I've used my trimmer quite a bit now. No vibration to speak of. I really like it so far.

It is a bit heavy, I took the harness loop off one of my old trimmers and put it on the M18 Trimmer so I could wear a harness if I wanted to.

Other than that no issues runs great. Got my whole yard on one 9.0 no problem

Just got my M18 drill/driver and Surge. One issue....the Surge makes a really annoying high pitched sound at speed setting 1. Is this normal? It's not LOUD, that's not what I'm talking about...it's more like fingernails on a chalkboard on steroids. If I had to use this tool for any length of time it would drive me insane. (and at some point I expect I will need to, although perhaps not on speed setting 1.) Thinking of returning the one I got and trying another. Thoughts? Other speed settings are fine.

i suggest a new [corvette, challenger demon, or mustang GT] or a [sierra denali/ silverado high ridge, ford king ridge, or ram bighorn/rebel].


that should keep you "fixed" for at least a week or two. and you can spend additional time maintaining the "fix" buying toys to go with it.

If you want it then you better take it at that price, it will never drop past that first clearance markdown. Their is a very strict clearance policy with Milwaukee at HD. I talk to our rep weekly as I work for HD.

All the M12 lanterns are gone around me after the drop to $35 at HD, M18 still at $56. Wonder if they are just trying to move old inventory or if its something else. Perhaps they are changing the packaging so that every one of them doesnt have light scratches/scuffs from the crappy packaging. Also the M12 4.0 is getting scarce as dont think HD is gonna stock in store anymore, they have compact 2.0, XC 3.0 and XC 6.0 for stocked M12 batteries, still have not seen a compact 3.0 in a store.

Thanks for the replies in regards to the trimmer. Currently have a lot of the M12 non-fuel tools and leaving towards the M18 with the trimmer and blower to start.

Current set of big cordless tools are my 10 year old Rigid 24V that the M18 line would replace. Right now though, the Rigid are still going strong.
