Get the protective boot for it. It makes it a lot easier to clean and doesn't beat it up.

It's on my list, I have one on the High torque. Anyone know where the best price is?

An alternate reality in a parallel universe.
I have to redo all the PVC piping on my pool because I am adding an SWG and a new VS pump. I always look for excuses to get new tools, so this was the perfect reason to get the M12 2470 pipe shear tool

Haven't used it yet, except to try some test cuts. It works great on the test cuts and I am looking forward to it making the job much easier.

I've used one for 4 years and love it, nothing quicker. Be careful if you are trimming a pipe, say cutting 1/4" off, of less than 3/4", I've had the small piece explode as the knife starts to apply pressure.

I find my boots cause the white letters to wear off my MIL tools for some reason, something in the silicone perhaps?? so you protect the tool and cause the letters to wear off faster, YMMV :dunno:

Anyone have any ideas on what will be shown at Milwaukee's #NPS17 event next week? I am REALLY considering getting the M18 Fuel Impact/Hammer drill combo, but I don't want to drop the coin on those if they're going to announce new M18 Fuel impacts/drivers/drills. Same with the M12 Fuel. I dont want to pick those up if new models are making there way out in the world in a few months. So, anyone know if Milwaukee will announce updated models of the M18 and M12 impacts/drivers/drills next week?

Please tell me about the Milwuakee radio/charger :D Its eon my "list", but am wondering if its justifiable

I if it's durable would recommend it so far. The radio cranks, I'm honestly surprised by the sound volume. You can plug it in o charge a battery or use a battery to power it when no cord is available. The controls are easy to use from preset stations to the Bluetooth or auxiliary. Only time will tell if it's durable. No tadio has been so far.

Very excited to see see what's coming out. Makita just had some cool stuff revealed. I don't think Milwaukee will change the impacts since they were just redone not to long ago. I hope they come out with a fuel multi tool. Other than the fuel omt I hope they bring out some stuff that is all new.

I'm hoping for a one key impact wrench. How awesome would it be to be able to set your impact to a specific torque setting, say for lug nuts...

All good points. In another thread I posted the same question, and the the response was the truth...I should just wait a week and see. Well...I know myself. If I buy the old I'll keep that AND get the new. LOL. If they announce stuff at the show...how soon does it come out?

If you don't mind me asking, how much did you pay and what deal did you use?

I managed to get a couple 2494-22 kits for $99, free 6.0, and $5 off, plus free ship. Now I have six M12 6.0s, selling all my other XC packs. Wish I had compact 3s.... The $99 deal with free 6.0 is gone BTW.

The drill and impact driver with free 6.0 is on sale at HD for 200, reg price is 320

Did he go to the one in Westwood? I had a HORRIBLE experience there. Milwaukee (corporate) ended up making it right, but that location's "customer service skills" - scratch that, even just plain ol' people skills - are embarrassingly non-existent. At least it was about a year ago.

That place is 15 minutes from me, but I only e-service now. I've only used it once, but it was hassle-free and I had it back in a week [emoji106]

It's a real shame because it's not every day you go to a store that's head to toe Milwaukee...and it *****.

Yup Westwood. He said they were jerks and not really helpful, dont know why they we saying it would cost $ even though under warranty. Only time I was in there, it wasnt the best experience, but was warranting heated gear and no choice. Their knowledge of products wasnt the best either. Too bad everything they sell is full price and I mean higher than the normal price at Acme or HD.

Wow. I'm gonna forward this to the guy that ended up helping me. Clearly nothing has changed.

Ordered that fancy Rocket light today.

Needed one tonight.

Ain't that the way it goes...

It's pretty nice right now, though, as you get a free Sawzall to go with it; at least at ACME. I've really enjoyed dealing with them. Great place.

i just got a refurbished one of those lights from CPO, and a new 2754 impact from ebay. the 2754 is actually smaller than i thought it would be, and that rocket light is a lot bigger than i thought it would be. i suppose it all averages out, but . . . .

Still works in-store. Same thing with the fuel kit + battery/blower/hedger trimmer.

Sure does, I drove the 40 miles to HD and grabbed a trimmer and blower. Headed to self checkout. Two HD people were trying to tell me it was an online deal only. I scanned the trimmer, then the blower and it showed a $149 discount. They both got quiet then :). I smiled all the way out the front door.

Blower does a great job of dislodging dust from the corners of our wood floors. Still have yet to assemble the trimmer but it will see plenty of use. Quite a bit lighter than my Honda 4stroke trimmers.

Yeah, it looks pretty big.

That said, if I was a betting man, I'd bet my bottom dollar that it's much more of a pleasure to haul around than those stupid conventional halogen work lights.

We all know there's no easy way to move them, and that hauling an extension cord somewhere is annoying as hell just for a light.

It'll certainly set up faster, and having a built-in battery charger and A/C option doesn't hurt.

It also comes with one of those 9.0 batteries; which is where that huge price hike is coming from, I believe; that and the extra control/display assembly.

I can't wait for that thing to show up. I'll be using the hell out of it for the next month or so.

Not sure if this is the correct thread for this but... Milwaukee 16 gauge nailer kit (as well as 15 gauge nailer kit) is $100 off at HD online: http://www.homedepot.com/SpecialBuy/SpecialBuyOfTheDay

Just ordered mine ;D

Geez now they are doing the 16 ga straight, I picked up the angle 16 ga about 6-8 weeks back same price. No one was offering the straight version for that then. I probably would have opted for that model just for the fact that I already had an arsenal of 16 ga straight finish nails for my pneumatic nailer.

No biggie though and now having the angled magazine just gives me another option when it is needed.

Today when doing yard work, the blower with a 9.0, I noticed a dropoff in power when the battery went to 1 bar, was surprised by this. Put a volt meter and got readings of ~13v, ~14v, ~15v at the 3 positive terminals, shouldnt it read closer to 18v even at low level. After fully charging it was ~18v, ~19v, ~20v. Why isnt it consistent on all 3?
