3 piece packout expected to be $280, ouch.

Still not sure why they came put with Gen2 M12 Fuel hex and hammer drill....

Is the heat gun going to have temp control, 1000° is a lot.

Considering the M12 soldering iron and heat gun.... How about a M12 hot knife.

I counted, with the new lights there are 22 Milwaukee LED lights, not counting the basic bulb ones and not counting OK versions again.

I seen the M12 Fuel drill in a video this morning just a slightly shorter a version best I can tell the Milwaukee rep was asked about torque said the power specs were still the same

So really looks like just the adjusting collar has been eliminated is all. Have to wonder though if the balance has changed some for better :dunno

The original model was always a bit forward heavy with the big 1/2 inch chuck and doesn't want stand up when using a compact battery. Much more stable and balanced better with the XC battery

Lol if the only benefit of the new ones is they stand on a compact battery. I have not come across a situation where I needed either to be just 1/2-1" shorter. The power of Gen1 M12 Fuel is already powerful enough.

Why not make a Fuel right angle drill instead or Fuel right angle hex impact...

I thought all M12s had a 3/8s chuck?

EDIT: Google shows me wrong. Oops! https://www.milwaukeetool.com/power-tools/cordless/2403-20

I need one of these. Having trouble finding one.

Model # is 49-12-0011

You can Google it and find it from some random and questionable suppliers or just call Milwaukee and order it directly through them. I did the latter - took 1.5 weeks. Shipping was pretty steep to MA though ($16 IIRC :eyecrazy: )

See I think this was long overdue. When the M18 versions are more compact than the M12s, you know it's time for an update. IMHO they are finally sized appropriately for 12v tools. I REALLY want the drill and a 6.0 for lighter duty drilling aka all things that don't require the 2703 beast aka most realistic things haha

You can probably just throttle the trigger. There's a resistive element in there, so at the very least you should be able to "pulse" the trigger. However, I bet it'll be linear like a drill.

Ended up selling my 2755B on CL and picked up the 2753 for $70 shipped new on eBay. First thing I did was call up Milwaukee and ordered the boot for it...came in today:

Can't say I've ever seen the driver with a boot. Man it's slick. #unicornboot

I wonder if this boot (49-12-0011) fits the new m18 Fuel Surge?

I like!

So just to confirm, there is a new shorter M12 Fuel drill. Which has the same power/features as the old one.

There is also no new 3/8 anvil M12 impact? I searched their Instagram and didn't see it anywhere.

Me too! Haha. I don't think it will fit very well since the Surge is a fair amount shorter than the 2753...it will be way too loose IMHO.

To put things into perspective, I tried the boot from my 2755B on the 2753 when I first got it just to see if it was "close enough" and the 2753 was swimming in the thing. Totally 100% unusable.

Thus, I suspect the Surge to swim in the 2753 (49-12-0011) boot.

I have only heard bout new M12 Fuel hammer and non hammer drill, 1/4 hex impact. No word on Fuel 1/4 or 3/8 impacts.

M12 reg versions 3/8, M12 Fuel 1/2. I think all M18s are 1/2.

There is an M18 Fuel 3/8" impact mid torque, I have had one for years. 2654 Fuel. New is 2754 Fuel and they also have 2658 non-Fuel.

Is there a place other than social media sites to look at the new products? I don't Instagram, Facebook, Snap Chat, MySpace, Twitter, or whatever else. I tried watching the YouTube videos but they're terrible.

Dancan23 was referring to the different drill chuck sizes not impact wrench anvils :)

M12 Fuels have 1/2" capacity chucks

M12 brushed drills are 3/8" max

And correct all the M18 cordless drills have 1/2" capacity.

There is A LOT of current pistol grip impact wrench offerings

M12 in 1/4" and 3/8" drive sizes and either as brushed or Fuel brushless and all with hog ring anvils

M18 compacts 1/2" and 3/8" drive both brushed and brushless versions 1/2 inch models has pin or ring anvil options

Mid Torque 1/2 brushless pin or ring anvil

High Torque Brushless pin or ring models 1/2" or 3/4" anvil

Then there still older ones like 2865B (one that I have) called a ball pin slightly different from original style pin.

And just for a winger them Aussies have a M12 Fuel model with a 1/2" drive anvil :D

Son of a .......

The biggest disappointment is very little specialization of the pack out for that price no trays to tightly hold batteries or Milwaukee tools. I'll hold final judgment till I see them in person but nothing super special to stop me from picking up the ridgid set much cheaper now.

That big drywall mud drill is useless. The power has been on in the house for at least 2 months by that time.

I was taking a roof panel off 12 -15' up last week. I had my little M 12 up there as it's great for removing screws yet handles well. Damned if it got lifted up out of the lanyard hook and down it goes landing directly on the concrete floor. Not so much as a scratch.......NOTHING. [emoji15]. Wow, and it took one hell of a hit.

Allright I off to my weekend work marketing plants for greenhouse I work for and I am taking my M18 transfer pump with 9.0 and 5.0 for backup to water some plants.

Plus I have a steady sales connection with local landscape gal and she had asked me for suggestions on water pump as she wants to get a water tank so she maintain her commercial and residential plantings. I think she will be impressed with it and I think will be much handier for her than rigging up a 12v pump and lot less work and much quieter and more environmentally friendly than using a gasoline powered pump at her accounts.

I still have my gas pump on board though but we shall see how good the Milwaukee does today! I thinking no problems really 100ft hose and maybe a 10-12 ft lift

Going to be HOT this weekend here finally get to wear my shorts!

High 70's today and maybe high 80's by tomorrow, other tan that its been pretty darn cold here all Spring so far.

Guess you've never been on a commercial job site where there are only power trees here and there and you have to mix near the tree then drag the buckets 500' to where you're working. I'm no taper but I've watched them for 20 years and on commercial sites the permanent power is usually not on until they are 95% done.

They're coming out with a fixed blade hawkbill knife too, like Klein and buckingham. Really a lineman knife.. now why they wouldn't make that in the hardline variant with D2 steel is beyond me.. its basically a commercial tool.. all the others dull pretty easily..
