They were for the initial promo, Milwaukee probably told them to clear them out, since bare tool and no free second 9.0 boxes started showing up in stores.
Took an updated picture of my stuff but already ordered the tea pot vacuum that isn't in the picture.
You **** big time.
What's you opinion on the circular saw, I finally used mine tonight and not sure what to think because it didn't spin up as fast like a corded and the power wasn't to impressive.

It works real good. It free spins to 5,500 rpms which is pretty average for corded ones.
If I'm doing real heavy ripping I'll go get my worm drive skil saw but mostly because the blade is on the left.
I wonder if the new 12v has three led's around the but like the dewalt and ridgid. The placement for the LED just above the trigger is very very poor and ineffective. This is such an issue for me that despite the power I prefer my dewalts!

i notice there are three fans. i assume that is because you think they are great. how long do they last on a 5AH battery? from the looks of it, putting a 9AH in it would interfere with hot it sat, is that true?

I only have ONE fan...and I feel its one the best Milwaukee Tool purchases I have made.
I just checked and the 9.0 fits ok for me...very little measurable clearance and virtually even with the bottom of the rubber feet on the fan but the fan still sits solid.
I been using 4.0's in my fan mostly and they go for a decent amount of time on either lower setting. High will run thru them quicker 2 hrs maybe. I have used it often at my work, when I was laying down the pine floor on the 2nd story and building displays for the store all summer it sat right next to me most all the time
I also bring the fan to my weekend market for air under the canopy. And it is handy in my garage on humid days to keeps the air moving
I just used it the other day to quickly dry a bathroom floor that water had gotten soaked. Didn't bother to get a box fan and find an extension cord and just so much quicker to setup move around as needed (it is very stable).
I dunno about 3 but I could consider a second one

We use the fans in the kids bedroom for the noise to help them sleep and we love them. They are mostly just plugged in but if we loose power I can throw a battery in there so they don't wake up. I'm not really sure exactly how long they last on a 5.0 though.

I have the fan and run 9AH batteries most of the time. The fan still sits flat on it's feet and the 9AH battery doesn't touch the ground most times unless it's uneven. If flat the bottom of the battery clears. With a 5AH battery I can get say 3-4 hours use on medium (II) speed. On low (I) I can get the full 5 hours and on high (III) 1-1/2 - 2 hours.

So I've been seriously thinking about picking up the new mid torque. My local Home Depot only carries it with a pin detent. All my tools are friction ring so I'm not sure I will like a pin detent. How is it in the Milwaukee? Does it "break in" over time? Should I just pick it up at the store or should I order online so that I can get a friction ring model?
My Home Depot doesn't have any Milwaukee knives besides one or two of the specialty ones for drywall. They also just got the hammer in this weekend but the pricing is ridiculous. They also just got 2 new Milwaukee levels but the price is outrageous. $30 and $50 for them while comparable quality levels from empire are $10 and $20. I did see a nice Dewalt level that is made of a carbon fiber composite.

I'd get the friction ring. If the Milwaukee is a true "pin detent" you'd need a tool to remove the socket, and also line up the hole in the socket with the the pin when you install it. Also, it may not retain chrome sockets with the pin, or worse, the sockets might get stuck on.
You'd have to check on that though, cause the Ryobi and Ridgid I think too, use a pin, buts it's not a "real" pin lock.. no tools to remove sockets. Hd is pretty good with shipping. I ordered mine online when I bought it.

The friction ring model also has a slower first speed for easily running down nuts/bolts.

It charges via USB just like a million other devices. You can use any USB charger that you already have. The cord you'll need (if it doesn't come with it) is a micro USB to USB which you can get at...gas stations haha.

I really appreciate them not using a proprietary charging cable. I have a lot of flashlights, speakers, and other things that use micro USB and it's great to only need one cord for those. If only iPhone could catch up.

Or the m18 power source.. I was relieved to find out the battery is removable and replaceable. So this way you can still keep an extra pack charged and ready. I won't be surprised if this line is expanded so long as it's received well.. that could open a whole new door to smaller products. Bluetooth protective earphones, digital jobsite camera, laser levels.. maybe even a jobsite tablet?? Who knows..
If it's new enough, I have a hoodie and last fall bought a vest but no USB port for either...You can charge it off the M12 battery in the heated jacket you may or may not own yet.

Honestly though, I'm excited for the possibility of other small gadgets off the new platform.It was the third year or so of the heated jacket that got the USB port. I too bought a hoodie last year, maybe the year before, that did not have it either. The M12 power source used in the jacket is available separately for ~$30. I bought an M12 and M18 one to keep devices charged when traveling.

And I do see that sliding range of movement now too thanks for pointing that out too
It does have more quality features than I was actually aware of (and really does put some cheaper options to shame)
And as much as probably don't have that great of a need still I know I am going to be getting one
And really liking the USB chargeable stick light unit too!

I really like the Neiko underhood light I have.. not something I'll use a lot, so it saved money for other things. I'll concede that the m12 is much nicer though.

How about the mid torque impact?
Those two are high on my list. I would probably sell my M18 3/8 impact to get the mid torque. I already have an M12 3/8 impact for smaller stuff and 2763 for big stuff.. so the M18 3/8 is pretty redundant already, and heavier, so it barely ever gets used..

So in morning before I head out to my weekend market work again I have to place an order for my friend she give the go ahead to get her a transfer pump so she can use it for remote watering maintenance tasks at her landscape business.
I figure I will get her the bare tool pump @ $179 and a twin pack of 3.0 XC batteries for $99. That will be same as price as the -21 kit with single battery. I told her I would just give her a dual voltage charge as I must have more than half a dozen of them (some still brand new) but I am thinking of the dual AC/DC M18 charger as a gift then she can use it in the truck all day too if need be.
Though 3.0 are supposed move 144 gal. on a charge and she only has 300 gal tank and that should be sufficient for much of her jobs. I really like to get bigger batteries for her
IF any knows a better deal I can put together on some other sizes of XC's let me know.
