Well I got another hit of the red drug.

I didn't have any sort of circular saw. I had a table saw (small one) and I had a good miter saw. I needed something for sheet goods. I bought a C3 circular saw that burned out halfway through the first board Lol. I just couldn't justify the cost of the 7.25 fuel saw..... until I went to a yard sale yesterday and found the combo kit with the 9 and charger unopened box for 195. SOLD!! Still trying to decide whether to sell the charger and battery and get the saw for basically free. I have 2 5s and a 4 with the rest of my m18 being metal work tools (impacts and grinder). Is the 9 really necessary for the saw or is the 5 more than sufficient for light use. 55495d4fc55d763490079cc346d5c73a.jpg

Maybe wait until October. :lol_hitti

I've seen a couple videos on Instagram in the last week about it. It looks very impressive.

I'd keep the 9.0 just for the grinder, Its the only way to have any decent runtime with it

I'm really considering getting my company to get me the m12 fuel drill & impact to keep in this little van thing they got me.. would be nice to have something in there just in case.. plus I'm already using the m12 speaker, and the heated jacket will be coming out soon.

Was using that 7.25" fuel saw.. it always amazes me it's cordless

So have the heads been redesigned any on the new Fuel cordless ratchets or are they still the same size and shape as on as the original ratchets? :headscrat

Overall the length will be greater is that right?

I don't know where you saw 175. They are apparently showing at 250. They were 430 2 days ago lol

Well I still think I got a good deal...I can almost guarantee that I won't see that clearance at my home Depot. They usually take 5 dollars off something and mark it clearance. They have a brushless drill (tool only) that was either a demo or a return, definitely used, that they have on "clearance" for $150. That isn't even a good price for a new kit.

Whoever sold it to you is likely who got it on clearance at the local store

There's a new heated jacket coming out? I was just looking at the 3in1 in store the other day. It's so sad the Milwaukee selection at Home Depot here or the worst. The Milwaukee rep even admitted it yesterday.

Dont know if there are new heated gear not previously available last year, but for all the gear that was out last year it is all the same model/version this year.

Here's pics of my new mid torque I mentioned a few pages back. I tested it with snap on impact socket on truck that's been sitting for 3 years. Didn't even impact for a second and they were off. Even on mode 1 it had no problem. As for the pin detent I think I would prefer the hog ring but it's really no big deal. The sockets fit on just fine when the detent hole isn't lined up. When you do line it up the socket stays on and you have to poke the detent with something to get it off. Could actually come in handy in some odd situations. I didn't try it with other sockets but I can if someone wants. I have sockets from a bunch of brands.

Nice...

I wouldn't be overly concerned with "not" having the hog ring anvil. I chose the original 2655B just because of that positive retention I didn't want to be dropping my socket in some of the field situations I need to pull repairs under.

Your pin looks just like mine with the tapered end. If I had time here tonight I would cross reference the actual pin numbers. They pin has changed several times since the original release which definitely was a very flat cut on the end and no way could it give loose without depressing it. I have found over time many different brands of impact sockets can be persuaded to pop off without using a tool working it back and forth a little bit. (obviously not just a straight pull)

Just depends how often and fast you are changing sockets obviously if your laying on your back under a vehicle and swapping out 3 sockets it would be a bit inconvenient but still its not that hard to keep a pocket screwdriver handy and I actually keep a short piece of like 1/8 rod in the storage case.

Subsequently I have found some ring models and I have 5 of the Milwaukee's with ring wont barely hold a socket but that does really depend on the socket brands and the wear

Just enjoy using it!

How have everyone’s experience with the 12v jig saw? I just picked one up but haven’t had a chance to use it yet
I have one on the way as well, should be here tomorrow or thursday, I'm gonna play with it as soon as I get it. I've heard good things. Not the most powerful, but good control.

Not concerned at all the more I think about it. I can lock the socket on or just make sure the detent isn't lined up and use it that way if I'm going to be switching a lot. Curious about how other sockets will work on it, time will tell.

Just seen a CPO email for free shipping over $79 on new or recon until 9/30 so seen the packout starter box (the lower piece with handle and wheels) for $129 and $79 for the upper box.

Then the large handled tote caught my eye be suitable for a lot of my work I had thought. Ayiyi! So they want the same amount of money for that as the wheeled lower starter box how do you figure that one. :dunno:

So HD has a special buy online with the m12 fuel hammer drill / impact set that comes with 2 more free m12 batteries. I have that set on order, the m12 fuel hackzall, and the SAE Milwaukee ratchet and socket set that I said I was not gonna buy.. not my money so screw it.

On another note, I noticed the Milwaukee smooth shank hammer drill bit set, and individual bits that I was complaining about are discontinued now. I actually ordered a Dewalt set since I believe they are German made with good reviews. Sorry Milwaukee..
