Better question is "was he ok?" I've had a couple of heart stoppers on my bike, but have yet to fall or have an accident.. car vs motorcycle on a police report does not inspire confidence on the riders chances..

Well we're all figuring he should be. I went to see him in hospital today they wanted him to order lunch he said he didn't want to stay for lunch

Should be home tomorrow but banged and bruised. He was quite fortunate nothing worse happened. Actually we all are. 45 years in the saddle now for my pal. Just had his 66 birthday. Tough old goat

They have a 3/4" high torque with one key, still only 1200ft/lb though so must be the same as the old model

For $70 -$75 I'll prob be in for that inflator.. it would cost me that much to get a Ryobi model having no charger or battery.. why not.. it's useful I guess..

If you think about it, it shouldn't be too bad. All the portable inflators made to power off the car are 12v anyway..

it may make a feasible accessory in a motorcycle tour kit it is pretty compact overall

I cant imagine it wouldnt work on all normal tires, says for light truck, wonder how accurate the 120psi is. When I get it I will flatten a big 19" RF tire and see how it does bringing it to 45psi. Perhaps the M18 will be for commercial industrial use like on a big dump truck haha.

it seems to me that the last 1-ton truck i bought wanted 140 in the tires. as i sit here, that seems unlikely, but the memory seems pretty solid. if i didnt screw up my leg recently, i would wander out and check now. maybe later when i am out for something else, assuming i remember, which seems like a long shot . . . . . .

Yep... This thing is cool.

I'm quite happy with it. The seller did include a 2.0 compact battery with it (not shown in the listing), so that made the price a little easier to stomach.

I plan to get out in the garage this weekend, so I will play around with it a little more and maybe take a video. I'm thinking the self-tapping mode 4 may be useful if I want a hand torque finish. It won't be as good as the auto shutoff mode 4 of the impact wrenches, but it should do.

I think it is "normal" given the way these PA6 plastics are injection molded and the differential heating and cooling cycles they go through. I only noticed them in that lighting, it feels fine and doesn't look that way under normal lighting.

I had a small Milwaukee score last night. My local Home Depot had one M18 wet/dry vac on the clearance shelf, unmarked price. It was missing one of the wand attachments, box, papers, etc. Looked unused though.

I asked what the price was and they said $40. Sure why not. Now I have two of them. I'll dedicate one to cleaning the cars and trucks.

Possible but unlikely... You are talking up into load range j or l. Tractor trailers use g and h. Most 1 and 3/4 trucks use e which is 80 psi. Even so good luck getting to 80 with that pump. I have done it with 12v pumps. It overheated twice.

It will take like forever

Its the the CFM specs I was looking at the rate dropped considerably at 35psi Probably would drop in half again by 50 psi

Yea, LT truck means topping off a little Tacoma. I wouldn't to dream of expecting it to work on my ton trucks

You're probably remembering 140 ft lbs of torque for lug nuts. Load Range E tires are typically 80 psi, and that is if you want to bounce around a lot in an empty 1 ton.

Little m12 Fuel hammer drill did good today drilling 1/4" holes for clamps. Can't say as much for the Bosch bit the other guy was using in the m18 Fuel. Broke first day of use. Those stupid hex shanked bits.. I just put together 5 clamp kits for different trucks/vans with that bit. Already went to lowes (brace for it) and bought new German made Dewalt bits to try.. 4 small German made Dewalt standard shank hammer drill bit sets, and 3 of the German made Dewalt 4 cutter sds plus 1/4" bits... they are actually suppose to be good, and was surprised to find them in lowes. The Milwaukee one finished the day, but I can't find those in Home Depot anymore.

What you NEED to make - is a M18 to M12 battery adapter.. lemme throw a nice m18 pack on my m12 stick lights, or lantern, or m12 drill and impact driver... or m12 rotary tool.. or your underhood light !!

Someone get on this - I want one and I don't even use my regular printer, I'm not buying a 3D printer.. I have a new cell phone I haven't even activated since I got it for Christmas, I'll be 80 by the time I ever got around to 3D printing.

Here's a hint - merge the m18 power source, and get the upper half of an m12 4.0 mounted and wired on top of it.. but it's gotta look nice..

Just think - one of you lucky geeks can be the CO-creator of Milwaukee's new sub compact 18v line...

Yeah don't think they go fuel on that one. I love mine, even my gf uses it for trimming the dogs nails. I like it for detailed work. Plenty of power and speed. I recommend getting a flex shaft for it though, it's a little big to be maneuvering around often. The keyless chuck is another nice option I use with the flex shaft.

The Ryobi is a great tool for its target market (DIY homeowners) and a huge step above Harbor Freight cordless, Black and Decker, etc.. I can't stand that guy. LOL. It's certainly doable. Would require some electronics to convert the 18v to 12v... wouldn't necessarily be efficient though.

I never did get around to selling the ryobi adapters though. I ordered some parts, ended up getting the wrong stuff shipped, was resent the parts and they got it wrong again.

I think I had some auto correcting going on--those are all fuel tools. I do have the grinder as well and love it. So nice to not have to deal with a cord. I have way to many lights as is. The Astro light and numerous Malkoff flashlights. Those the absolute best lights ever. Lifetime warranty and they are built like tanks. Everyone should check them out.

I have that brushed Milwaukee in the Hammer version. For general work I like it using more than the Gen 1 Fuel I have. It's smaller, lighter has good power and is decently balanced with an XC battery.

Cripes I just watch the other video, I assume that is the same Dewalt drill was like $99 kit last Christmas? One of my female friends wanted to buy a driil/driver for her son a recent college grad just got married. I directed her to Milwaukee as that's the brand I'm using these days, But she said he wanted Dewalt because someone told him they were better (I'm sure that was his uncle the union welder )

Ridgid has a 1 gallon 18V compressor so expect a portable Milwaukee but it might be a lot bigger than this M12 that is just coming out.
