Why would you need to 3d print it? It comes with the sander even the non kit version.
I messed around with it some just sanding some finish off old test pieces and it seems to work well. I'm not so sold on the ergonomics though. It's pretty unwieldy and very heavy. I've got huge thumbs so that makes things a little worse but I've been turning it upside down to actually flick the power switch on / off.
Here it is next to my trusty Bosch RO sander.

I think the dust collection is at least as good as the Bosch, but I'll have to do some more testing on it.

Me too! It's the missing piece of the puzzle to keep in my trunk with a M18 impact wrench, 2 ton jack, jack stands, and tire patch kit.

With a 9.0 I think this would be even worse. It does look like the motor is angled forward a bit to offset the weight of the battery, but I bet that's not great for side to side balance.
Those power supply things are pretty damn neat and yeah a cordless air compressor would be great but I found a neat work around for the cordless air compressor. My friend had a 30 gallon craftsman compressor that the motor unit exploded so now I have a 30 gallon air pig on wheels filling up trailer tires is great and it even ran an impact enough to pull a wheel( I know I need a mid-torque)

I just got a used Milwaukee M-18 drill / driver #2701-20 with a M18 Red Lithium XC 3AH battery. I would like to purchase a charger and possibly an other battery. I've been surfing the web for a charger and battery, but I'm confused as to what to buy. Brand name generic or ??? Run time life ? Drill will be only for occasional around the house use. Would just one xc battery be enough? Any combo deals? Also how should I store the battery when not in use for a period of time ? Straight up help please.

Best place for what your looking for is eBay.. chargers and batteries are all over.. I'd recommend staying with Milwaukee batteries if you can. As far as storage, I give mine no special attention. I have some at home that just live on chargers for months, stuff at work is out in the cold on the work trucks every night. They all work just fine for me. Xc batteries are 3.0's, meaning 3 amp hours. It's always better to have a second battery on hand, but of course you CAN get by with just one. Plus once you have batteries and a charger you can buy other stuff just as bare tools.

Nice. I might have to pick up some Ryobi nailers myself. I've always heard good things about them.
I took advantage of this for the sawzall. Then the cashier wanted to give me $50 for another HD card (you can have two he said)
Then it was match menards 11% week as well.
We will see if 'rebate applies' - it took my app.
Sawzall should be nice for clearing out invasive flowering pears in my CRP land.
At least that's my excuse...

Yeah, but if you're in a tight spot (when backing out a bolt for example) and you pin it against something else, you can't reverse the wrench without taking it off and you're screwed unless you can cut the bolt.

They fit great, they work great, I highly recommend them. plc268 said I could share prices with you as well.
I spent $35 for the 1st, and $30 for each additional (when shipped at same time). I bought 2...may get more.
I have the Ryobi fan and Glue Gun...time to get the little sanders, big blower, and ???
(The things pay for themselves with pretty much each tool. M18 fan is $80ish, Ryobi is $40... and the Ryobi stuff is constantly at the swap meet for RTV and on CL. I paid $25 for my Ryobi fan)

yes, they are.
this is an almost religious topic. some believe that the reversing mechanism weakens the wrench.
others don't.
i have both. dont notice a difference. i have never had a ratcheting mechanism fail.
You can ratchet in the opposite direction by flipping it yes, but it's considered non reversible. Reversible being any ratchet wrench with a lever or push button that enables you to reverse direction without removing the wrench from the fastener. Also, reversible are typically offset by 15° where as regular non reversible are 0° offset. I like the offset for most things bc they keep your knuckles away from your work.
I own both types, they both have their place. I seriously own way too many ratchet wrenches. Double box, flex head, non reversible, reversible, stubby, and stubby flex in SAE and Metric. It's ridiculous.

I dunno about Batteries on Ebay.....way too many fakes out there. I would do a initial search, then look at the sellers listings to see if he's just selling off (home depot, etc returns) or the like.

There are many legit listings, for the 5.0 anyways. I make sure there's an actual picture & good feedback. I've gotten a few for $57 each.
I've bought 6 9.0's on eBay so far, and 5 5.0's. I suppose there are fakes on there but that's why I check out the seller and the photos. There's Quite a few on there that are still sealed in original packaging if you're really paranoid about it, it's just a few extra bucks for shipping. All mine have been legit so far. I could never imagine paying even close to retail on them. Blows my mind that people buy them individually full price from HD.

Packaging or not, plenty of fakes out there.....IMO, the only seller on Ebay I would buy from would be if it looked like a HD auction buyer that was selling RTV stuff , and then again, I scrutiznize battery batch code dates as well.
OFF topic, but when did Milwaukee move from putting the batch code date (embossed on the top plastic) - to just the sticker on the bottom. I think 2107 ?

I’ve bought two 5.0’s on ebay for $61, and both came in the factory packaging, never opened. The listing said they were received with “free battery/tool” deals from HD, and he was selling the batteries to get back some of the cost.
Haven’t had an issue with either one.

Just be careful on ebay and use a credit card with good protections. Ebay no longer protects the buyer when things just do not show up. SOL if you cannot get your CC company to back you and reverse the charges. I am out $190 for M12 batteries I never recieved and still fighting to get my $$ back 2 months later.

I believe when they starting putting the WIFI symbol on them. I have batteries from early 2016 that are like this, and some from late 2015 that are not. So my guess is early 2016.

Ahh yes. I forgot about the WiFi symbol. WTF does the WiFi symbol mean....I've never used the 1Key functionality. Will the app see the battery - ID it by serial and tell you how many battery cycles it's had, what the capacity is, etc, etc. I quickly googled this. One Key does not seem to do this.

Off topic, but aside from the original flood lantern, has Big Red done any ~soft tweaked launches~ on their light offerings, where they bumped up the lumens output. I don't see anything else I reallly need/want.....current stash is the 12V stick, M18 Flood, Two M19 3K Floods and another pair of the Rocket Towers. My most heavily used is the sticklight and 1100 Flood

Lol have you seen the retail packaging? It's ridiculous. If they can fake that I would be extremely impressed.
From the same store? HD does that often. It will hit clearance at 50% and go back up to normal price. Happened with the circular saws that came with 9.0 last year as an example
