My M12 inflator just arrived today via NPH Tool (2475-20P). Shipping only took two days due to being in MN (they ship from WI). They have the best price on the inflator as well, especially if you buy it in the kit that includes the charger. I got a tool boot for my M18 Impact Driver as well (49-12-0011), they are one of the few places you can find that boot.

Places like Acme are probably chain selling out the inflator, so if you order from there you might have to wait out several waves of backordering. Whereas NPH and other smaller shops might have it in stock right now, shoot them an email to be sure.

Their website recently just changed though, which sketched me out at first, but they came through! See their facebook page for new URL. Quick response time too with emails, I will buy everything through them from now on.

Home Depot is also accepting orders on the inflators, but won't ship until May 14 - May 16.

Both the grinder and the blower came today. Man am I happy with the blower. I dropped a 5.0 on it and blew off the one area outside my shop I have to constantly clean as I got a big *** tree that totally sheds all over it. Since my gas blower died I'd been using my compressor and blow nozzle. This cleaned it off in a 1/4 of the time.

Kickass! :rocker:

Also I'm really happy I got the latest and greatest with the two speed selection and the variable trigger. That made it pretty sweet blowing out corners and not creating a tornado. :(

I ordered mine 3 weeks ago. Works great so far, just filled a 245/45/17 from 11 to 32psi, worked as expected. This thing is way smaller than I expected, I have water bottles that are heavier and take up more space, lol.

One of my valve stem threads is so corroded I cannot thread on the fitting. Anyone know of a non-threaded tire chuck adapter that can screw onto this milwaukee threaded fitting? (e.g. the kind that you have to manually hold on the valve stem at a perfect angle or it will leak like most air compressors)

Someone posted this awhile back. This is a quick connect adapter.

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01MY55BT5/?tag=atomicindus08-20

My pump is in transit and I can't wait to use it!
Nice, good to know. What size are the threads? I guess what I really want is a simple male to male fitting, then that will allow me to use any tire chuck I want. e.g.:
https://www.harborfreight.com/14-in-64mm-npt-female-brass-tire-chuck-62697.html
https://www.harborfreight.com/extended-dual-foot-air-chuck-inflator-63571.html

edit: Napa and pepboys have that slime adapter for under $5

I really wish the inflator would arrive tomorrow. That would be perfect. Then I don't have to drag a lawn tractor with flat tires to the front yard or drag an air compressor to the back yard. I know it won't since Acme shipped it with Slow-Dee Delivery but I can dream.

Well I'm pretty impressed with my new blower. Last night I charged up my new 9.0 and got after it a little while ago. I've got close to 15ksqft if driveway, walk paths and patios and it got about 80% of it done. It's not the most powerful blower I've ever owned but it does just fine for dust, dirt clods and general debris which is exactly why I wanted it. Just the convenience of grabbing it and go is worth every dime, I highly recommend it if you're deep into the M18 stuff.

I think the reason Milwaukee has not come out with a chainsaw till now is because in their eyes they already have one, the M18 Fuel sawzall. I just cut up a 8" tree leftover from winter storm damage easily with OK sawzall and 12" 5tpi Diablo blade. How much better is a proper M18 chainsaw really gonna be?

You know? That's a very good point. I was getting excited about buying the chainsaw, but I've got the same set up. Those Diablo tree trimming blades are great. Maybe I'll stick to this since I already own it:dunno:

Try the 3 TPI Diablo Carbide Pruning blade, and just feel the grin appear on your face. Just cut up some telephone poles, and was cutting just as fast on cut 5, as the first. These are ~12" treated poles that has easily dulled past blades, and usually required a chainsaw.

If it is only going to be 16", I will be a bit disappointed. Would have liked to see an 18", even if it took 2 batteries.

Well guys I think I know what the big break through is gonna be. I saw a Milwaukee ad on Facebook saying the next big breakthrough is coming, and someone commented spoiler it's a 12AH battery.. When I clicked his profile it showed that he works at home depot, so its not too far fetched that he would know. Could be bogus though, we'll see. I hope it's something cooler than just that.

I've had the mid torque for a year, and I've held the high torque in the store, and I don't think I'd want to be holding up the high torque all day unless I actually needed the 1000+ ft/lbs regularly. The mid torque is a good size and weight for me and it's done everything I've needed. The only issue with the mid torque is that the rubber boots for it aren't as widely available, but they are out there.

I just got the M18 Fuel 7-1/4" circular saw today and that thing is a beast. I was nervous at how quiet it was, until I started cutting up some boards. The noise reduction on it is huge compared to my screaming Ryobi corded saw.

I bought the high torque one years ago or I would have probably gone with the mid torque one instead (wasn't available then). High torque one sure is nice when you need it.. i.e. crank bolts for me, but that isn't often.. trying to use it under cars in awkward angles can get pretty heavy. Mid torque seems like a nice in-between size/weight/torque to me.

Got my Fuel M18 1/4 hex impact gun yesterday and put it to work driving some 3" screws into PTL... holy cow. After 20 years of driving fasteners with a regular drill/driver and pushing like hell to keep the phillips heads from camming out I'm an instant convert.

Now I just have to resist the urge to take it apart because it's the "Surge" hydraulic version and I'm really curious as to how it works. :bounce:

I'm pretty sure they have a teardown video on YouTube. I know AVE has one of him showing the rigid version, I'm sure they're the same

i have a storage issue, and i am looking for some suggestions. since the issue is largely milwaukee related, i thought i would ask here.

i have a bunch of tool boxes, and some wall and floor cabinets. i need to lock my tools up when i leave. this is good because it makes me clean up when i am done, and keep everything organized. my problem is that i have two milwaukee lights, a 2130 and a 2135. to store them, i need a space about 50" tall.

the floor cabinets have shelves in them, but because of the way the locking mechanism works (it latches into one of the shelves), i cannot remove enough shelves to get that much clearance.

do any of you lock your lights up? and what kind of unit do you use?

thanx

Got my 12v inflator today. It's compact size and quietness when compared to other electric compressors is awesome. Used it to just top off four tires from 25 to 28 pounds. Super quick and easy to use. First impression I love it.

Too bad I could of used it on 4 ocassions in past month with snow tire swap and such.

I agree, it would be huge otherwise. That would make it more of a breakthrough

it seems to me that higher capacity batteries only have use in the outdoor power equipment area. sure, you can plug a 12AH into your impact, but what is the point? maybe it is worthwhile for a chop saw, or a tower lamp, but i dont see that as being a real breakthrough.

more useful would be using higher capacity cells in current form factors. upgrading the M18 2.5AH form to a 4AH, or a 5AH to a 7.5AH would be more useful for me.

I also think the 21700 will percolate to all Battery sizes.

You are correct that the 12ah will be for OPE and things like a big miter saw, table saw, power station, etc.

I'd love it for my grinder, die grinder, saws, and lights. I'm most excited for that battery but an 8Ah in the size of a 5Ah would be awesome as well for drills and impacts. The little power boost would be awesome.

I hope they do something similar for M12. A 9.0 M12 would be so great. There's actually a company that makes generic M12 batteries in 9ah size, but it looks sketchy

Eventually I think we will get those higher amp hr batts in a more compact form.

Ya it is pretty ridiculous to have the latest large and heavy batteries in most pistol grip tools. Still be fine for a sawzall, grinder etc. depending on how much work your trying to accomplish

I want one for my water pump! :D

Actually it was free M18 heat gun, M12 pvc shear, and M18 5.0, if you got the XC kit. I got 4 kits for $340 and recieved 3 sets of freebies so far.
Did you get the sweet rebate deal they had going on with free heat gun and battery

I'm hoping for a lawnmower... I know it sounds ridiculous, but I can't wait to drop my Lowes Kobalt mower for a Fuel mower... I don't even care if it needs 2 9ah batteries.. I just don't want to deal with different battery systems.

Never had a HD employee give any accurate in on future tools. They all claimed Milwaukee was coming out with an interchangeable head system for outdoor for NPS17. Nope.

The 12ah battery is very plausible/probable though. Not sure how a regular HD employee would have a picture already though. All speculation until it's actually announced

I never said he had a picture. Normally I wouldn't believe it but it really seems like they're going to release a 12.0
