I ordered the string trimmer/hedge trimmer kit for $299 and picked up a clearance gen 1 blower for $95. Had them all out yesterday for yard work. Love the hedge trimmer! The string trimmer is pretty good, only used it on low, but it did my whole yard on half a battery. I'll have to test it a little more. I won't be selling my gas trimmer just yet. The convenience factor will probably make this a keeper.

The gen 1 blower is just OK. It works well for cleaning the grass clippings of the mowers and sidewalks and driveway. I used it to clear the chunks of mud that fell off my shoes walking in the garage and it didn't do so well. My gas blower had no issue with that.

My home depot has them. I've only used it so far to fill an empty trailer tire and top off my lawn tractor tires. Used about 50% of the battery (2.5 ah).
It's a little expensive for a pump but the convenience of being able to set the pressure and walk away eases that sting

I walked in and walked out with one for this same price,already used it to top off all my trailer tires (6) and two front truck tires ,couldn't be happier with it .This is gonna be perfect for not having to fire up the big compressor or dragging the little sears one around to everything.

A few new additions. Picked up the M12 inflator with the 2.0ah battery yesterday, and went back today for the M18 trimmer kit with the free blower. Very impressed with all of them so far.

I used the inflator on a wheelbarrow tire, riding mower tires, and one tire on my Durango. Much quicker and easier than firing up the compressor and dragging hose around.

I put the 9.0ah battery on the charger but I was too excited to wait (and rain moving in) so I put a 5.0ah on the trimmer and it still did everything I've always done with my gas trimmer, and still had one bar left. Then I popped a fresh 5.0ah on the blower and I was blown away (pun intended) by how much power it has compared to the old Craftsman 19.2V blower I had. Only used one bar blowing grass off our sidewalk and both sides of our 100' long driveway. It actually blew off wet clumps off grass that came off the mower. We only have a few large trees in the backyard, and I feel this blower will easily handle the leaves we get each fall.

Without going back through almost 700 pages, has anyone bought/reviewed the Milwaukee blower?

I have a small suburban lot and use a Toro corded blower at least twice a week. Blow out the shop, yard clean up after mowing, etc. Wondering if it would last long enough on full power setting (assuming it has multiple settings)?

I have both Toro corded and the 1st gen Milwaukee blower. The Toro is noticeably more powerful. But for cleaning up after mowing or blowing leaves off your deck/patio the cordless is more than adequate, and not having to fuss with the cord is more than worth it.

I have the cordless Milwaukee hedge trimmer and a cordless Toro string trimmer. Losing the cord on those makes the tools way better. But the Milwaukee hedge trimmer is heavy. I've had the Toro string trimmer for years, the battery in mine is not easily replaceable, it's a SLA (Sealed Lead Acid) type.

Plus, when you get some light fluffy snow, you can blow off your porch in a tenth the time it takes to sweep or shovel. Probably not a selling feature in Pasadena.

Probably not there is less than 3/16" space left when a 9.0 is inserted in the case

Wasn't that earlier style battery option removed on the updated version?

The Rocket 1 tripod light has less than 1/4" xtra room also

It's faster than I expected it to be. It does take maybe 20 or 30 seconds for the pressure to start moving but once it does it inflates at a pretty good clip. I think I did 26 to 38 PSI on my truck in like a minute. Grab it from HD, try it out. If you hate it return it.

For having something little to throw in my trunk and be ready at any moment it's worth the what I would consider low price.

I had the same reaction. I picked it up at Home Depot with the included 2.0ah battery for $79. Filled a wheelbarrow tire, two riding mower tires, and a low SUV tire from 22psi to 35psi. Plenty fast enough for me, especially compared to the Craftsman 19.2V inflator I used to have. The threaded brass schrader chuck is really nice compared to the clamp on style some of the cheaper inflators have. Well worth the $79 I spent! It'll live in my tool box in the back of the SUV along with my M18 impact wrench and other roadside tools.

I can't believe how small the new m18 impact driver is. The head is so small, the tool looks like one of those shrunken head voodoo dolls.

It has 2000 inch pounds btw

Milwaukee blatantly says the new m18 fuel drill has more power than any other drill on the market

Table saw has 500 more rpm and is about 7 lbs lighter than flexvolt

I'm guessing that they took the 1/2" mid torque and put a 3/8 anvil in it so it still retains the name "mid torque".

Finally something that is equivalent to a pneumatic tool in a 3/8 drive. Seems all the focus has been on 1/2" drive. Glad to see the GenII M12 3/8 and this on the market.

Well the new 3/8" is a stubby, I wouldn't really consider it the gen 2. Maybe they're doing this as the biggest & baddest 3/8", they have the new stubby/compact, maybe they'll make the gen 2 3/8" m12 an actual mid torque in the neighborhood of 350ft/lb

Well ain't that the cutest little puppy you ever did see.

So the UPS dude finally arrived with the inflator that was shipped out last Tuesday.


I quickly tried it out on my John Deere R4 front tractor tire. Its still has a very slow leak (not the rim I have found it's in the tire sidewall) So it took like less than a minute to go from 29lbs to 35lbs

But what I found really amazing was that the inflator gauge matched my Performance Tool tire gauge exact..number for number. As for the connector is not that bad and it is pretty much the same as Progressive Suspension midi gauge air pump for my Harley's air shocks and air assisted forks.

There is really not that much air loss fumbling around with the connector worse case less than a 1/2 lb pressure just compensate slightly for that. Plus I'm used to using my other one anyhow


I'm very impressed with my test run and quite satisfied for something so small and lightweight.

Another win for Milwaukee

Just be aware of the recommended duty cycle limitations.

I'm betting still someone will do a monster off road tire or something like that then complain its no good

I mostly use the 1/2" anvil. I have the High Torque, Mid Torque and Compact B all in half inch drive and I don't really feel like I'm missing anything. 600 ftlbs seems like a little overkill on 3/8 drive but hey people been asking for it.

The surge is pretty damn good as it sits, the only real change would be to use the new motor. It has a lot of power in its current form.

99% of anything I need a socket for on 4 of the vehicles I maintain is 3/8 drive. Even when I need to use a 17mm hex driver to remove transmission fill/drain plugs I put a 1/2x3/8 adapter in and use my 3/8 ratchet because the 1/2" won't fit. The only thing I need a 1/2" socket for is the axle nuts (32mm/300+ ft-lb torque) and the crank pulley bolt (19mm and 400+ ft-lb). Everything else is much easier using the smaller 3/8 drive sockets. All my swivel sockets are 3/8 drive, torx, hex drivers, crows feet, line wrench, etc. Never had anything on these vehicles that I needed a 1/2" drive for so why use a bigger/heavier tool for the 1% of the time it's necessary?

When I get into truck/tractor/equipment things where there are much larger fasteners, then 1/2" drive makes perfect sense, but all that stuff is well over 200 ft-lb and there's usually a lot more room for larger tools.

Milwaukee has had a legitimate pneumatic impact replacement for the 1/2" drive for quite a few years now, but nothing that even came close in the 3/8" drive until now. I'm glad to see it. I hope they put a bit of an angle on the handle so that it reaches into places better. The "vertical" handle with the battery protruding so far out the front on the 2754 it almost forces you to put an extension on to do anything with it. SnapOn and others do a much better job of this.
